DDG's Attempt To Play Down Halle Bailey's Restraining Order Met With Rage

Yahoo14-05-2025

DDG's reaction to Halle Bailey's restraining order filing has turned social media heat up!
The rapper finally broke his silence after his former girlfriend and baby mama was granted a court protection order against him coming anywhere near her and their son, Halo.
DDG and Halle Bailey got together in 2022 and welcomed their son in 2023 before finally calling it quits in 2024, a relationship that Halle claimed was vocally and physically abusive.
DDG expressed that he is unconcerned following recent allegations of assault made by his ex-girlfriend, who is a singer and actress. Despite these serious accusations, DDG reassured his fans in a recent update: "I'm chillin btw… I have no worries. streaming later on, no days off!"
"When men say they're chilling they actually losing their sh-t!! You most definitely hit the lil mermaid," this commenter wrote under the post. Another X user advised the streamer to see this as a "good time to regroup and stay off the internet."
"They're cooking you on every blog bro.. what really happened?!" a concerned fan asked the streamer. "YOU SUCH A BUM," another X subscriber declared in her reply to the streamer's tweet.
A fifth commenter advised DDG to get professional help, adding that he is a "liar" who abuses women. "And I hope you're stupid enough to mention her and that baby so they can sue and lock your yuck mouth ass tf up b-tch," another X user wrote.
Per TMZ, Halle is claiming DDG put her through physical, emotional, and verbal abuse throughout their two-year relationship, which ended in October 2024. In her legal filings, she claims that an altercation between them in January 2025 resulted in her suffering a chipped tooth and bruises.
One of DDG's industry colleagues also reacted to the shocking news on X. In his post, Soulja Boy threatened to attack the streamer should he lay his eyes on him.
"You a b-tch ass nigga for putting yo hands on Halle lil n-gga @PontiacMadeDDG if I catch u im beating the f-k out u," the "Kiss Me Thru The Phone" rapper wrote.
Soulja Boy's tweet has gained nearly 100k likes with thousands of retweets reacting to his declaration. "soulja you've been threatening niggas for over 15 years now. everyone very comfortable and untouched. wake up," this X user wrote under his tweet.
A second commenter noted that Soulja Boy's tweet would have been noble if he were not battling allegations of abuse himself.
"I agree with you, but you need to worry about how you gonna pay that woman them millions.. let's not act like your hands ain't dirty," another internet user commented.
Another commenter mentioned how the rapper already "lost 2 cases for abusing women. I think you need to fight yourself."
The DDG and Halle situation has attracted considerable public attention. The Blast reported that the matter has led his family to address the matter publicly.
DDG's mother, Tonya Granberry, responded to allegations made against her son in the restraining order. On May 13, she used her Instagram Stories to label the accusations as false, stating, "I don't usually comment or say anything on this internet, even with all the negativity, the lies, and hatred towards mine."
Granberry emphasized that Hailey's claims prompted her to break her silence. Earlier that day, she also posted a meme featuring Kermit the Frog in a phone booth, captioned with the phrase "Hello Jesus, take the wheel," seemingly reflecting her feelings about the unfolding situation.
Granberry's response sparked a significant reaction from fans. Many sympathized with Halle, accusing Granberry of enabling her son's behavior. Comments included claims that only certain mothers react the way Granberry does, suggesting a denial of her son's wrongdoing.
Others pointed out that some mothers may raise problematic behavior without recognizing the signs. Conversely, there were supporters of Granberry who argued against the disrespect shown toward her.
One commenter noted that Granberry typically stays out of the drama regarding her son's past relationships, referencing her low-key presence on YouTube since moving to LA with him.
Halle referred to the verbal abuse from her ex-partner, DDG. In her allegations, she noted that he frequently insulted her by calling her derogatory names, such as "b-tch" and "evil," often in front of their son.
She also mentioned that DDG would publicly demean her to his millions of fans whenever he wanted to provoke her. As a result of these incidents, a restraining order has been put in place, requiring DDG to maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from Halle and their son.
He was also instructed to stay away from Halo's school and Halle's vehicle. A court hearing is scheduled for June 6 to decide if this restraining order will be extended.
In the court documents, Bailey expressed her realization that she could no longer tolerate the abuse, stating, "I realize that there is no placating Darryl. I cannot allow this abuse any longer."
The streamer described their split as ultimately the best choice for both him and his partner. However, their co-parenting relationship has since been rocky.
In November 2024, the "The Little Mermaid" publicly expressed her displeasure with DDG for featuring their child, Halo, in an online streaming episode with Kai Cenat without her consent.
In a now-deleted post, she voiced her frustration, emphasizing that she was out of town and had not been notified about her child's public appearance, which she felt was inappropriate. Many hoped that their co-parenting disputes would be short-lived, but the tension continued for several months.
By March 2025, DDG accused Halle of blocking him from seeing their son. In a livestream, he mentioned his reluctance to make personal matters public, but felt compelled to address the situation.
The rapper claimed his attempts to be an involved father were being thwarted, as he articulated a deep desire to be present in his son's life. DDG insisted he was not a "deadbeat" and that there should be consequences for the barriers preventing him from seeing Halo.
Will things take a messy turn between DDG and Halle Bailey?

Taylor Swift's Safety in Question After Chilling Encounter With Stalker

Taylor Swift's Safety in Question After Chilling Encounter With Stalker originally appeared on Athlon Sports. While pop star Taylor Swift has had plenty to celebrate over the last week after announcing she bought back the master recordings of her first six studio albums, she's also had some difficulties too. Swift, who's dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, has spent the bulk of the last four months out of the public eye with her NFL star love interest traveling overseas and taking several offseason vacations together. But it wasn't that long ago that the couple was dealing with a worrying security threat after Kelce's $6 million Leawood, Kansas, home was broken into last year. The incident reportedly left the couple on 'high alert' given Swift's prior history with security issues when she had to cancel several shows during her 'Eras Tour' last year in Austria after it was discovered she was the alleged target of a planned terrorist attack. And now, according to a report from TMZ, Swift has more security issues to worry about after she had multiple chilling run-ins with a stalker recently that prompted her to file a restraining order on Friday. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Swift claims ex-convict Brian Jason Wagner, who's reportedly been harassing her for years, showed up at her house uninvited in May requesting to see her. Wagner has also allegedly changed the address on his driver's license to her home in Los Angeles, and he's even falsely claimed Swift is the mother of his child. Swift asked the court to order Wagner to stay at least 100 yards away from her, her residence, her workplace, and her car. 'Taylor claims Wagner used concerning and threatening language in the communications and tried to divert mail from her residence,' TMZ reported. 'Taylor says Wagner previously showed up to her home at least 3 times in July 2024 ... including one alleged visit where he was allegedly carrying a glass bottle 'that could have been used as a weapon.'' The news prompted several of Swift's fans to hit social media to express their concern over her safety. "I am glad she has Travis to protect her when they are together," one fan wrote. "The amount of potentially harmful weirdos she has in her orbit is scary," another added. "Every single person who stalks her jet, his friends, has GCs passing details on her whereabouts, and feels entitled to her personal all contribute to this sort of thing. And I hope karma finds you swiftly," a third fan exclaimed. "This is exactly why people need to stop posts pictures of Taylor without her knowledge or consent and giving away her location Taylor has all sorts of crazy people after her," one user scoffed. "This is why we don't share her location in real time," remarked another user. Fortunately for Swift, she's spent most of her time this offseason with Kelce, and she's been in Kansas City with him recently as he prepares for the upcoming NFL season. Singer Jessie J Reveals 'Worst Day So Far' In Emotional Cancer Journey Update

Jessie J is opening up about the lowest point she has experienced since her breast cancer diagnosis and the unexpected method she used to regain her composure. The "No Secrets" hitmaker is well-known for sharing important details about her life with fans, from welcoming her first child with Chanan Colman to her recent health struggles. Now, she is getting candid about the challenges she faces navigating life with cancer. Jessie J broke the news about her breast cancer diagnosis early this month in an emotional Instagram post. Although she initially declared she would leave the spotlight to undergo treatment, the sensational singer surprised fans days later with a North American Tour announcement. Jessie got candid about her struggles on her Instagram Stories, revealing she experienced a hard time over the weekend. "Had my worst day so far yesterday since my diagnosis and the busiest 3 months I have had in years," she confessed, noting work, cancer, life, and her young son had her mind completely drained. The entertainer's mental state was so bad that she experienced "panic attacks, tears, big fears, anger" and felt overwhelmingly bad until she discovered a shocking way to shift her mood. "And you know what helped?" she concluded her first post before sharing the secret in a follow-up post, writing: "I ate a corn on the cob [corn emoji]. Turns out it's extremely hard to panic or cry while eating one. Highly recommend. Instant [sic] mood shift." Jessie implied in a series of follow-up posts that she wouldn't hide her low moments from fans amid her cancer battle, noting how important it was to her to acknowledge these negative emotions. She stressed that "holding it in won't make it go away" and that it was better to let "fear, anger, sadness, and panic" flow to the surface. Jessie explained: "So when I posted what I did yesterday about my current challenge in life, also while making light of the situation [corn emoji]. That was one day in 10 weeks that I just lost it and was completely drowned in all the negative and bad feelings any cancer journey can bring. Which is healthy and needed." She added in a separate post that she was sharing her stance with fans because several people reached out to her after her corn post to advise her not to drown in negative emotions. Although Jessie accepted these comments as people's way of caring for her, she stressed that her definition of strength stemmed from honesty and acknowledging her feelings. Jessie concluded her message with a vow to be "Strong, fearless, Healthy, and make some jokes" about her situation, traits she first displayed when she announced her cancer diagnosis days earlier. The Blast covered her emotional reveal, reporting that the singer shared a video detailing her health battle on Instagram. In the post, Jessie revealed she was diagnosed with "early" breast cancer in April, shortly before she ended her four-year hiatus from music. She noted it was a wild coincidence that she marked her comeback with the singer "No Secrets," only to keep her health a secret from fans before releasing a second song called "Living My Best Life." Despite her heartbreaking diagnosis, the media personality remained positive, focusing on the early detection of her breast cancer and how she planned to undergo surgery to treat the condition. Jessie's humor stayed alive throughout the video, joking about the operation being "a very dramatic way to get a boob job." Jessie added that she would need to leave the spotlight to undergo treatment but promised to return with "massive t-ts and more music." She continued joking about her situation in the post's caption, asking fans if it was "too soon to do a remix called 'Living my breast life'?" Despite her playful take on her cancer diagnosis, Jessie acknowledged the severity of her situation and asked fans for a hug. Although her followers could not shower her with affection, they expressed their feelings in the comment section. Many applauded her for being vocal about her struggles, while others wished her a speedy recovery and the best of health. The prayers and well wishes might have worked, as Jessie shocked fans by announcing her plans for a North American Tour just days later. Jessie proved she planned on keeping her vow to return to music after her breast cancer surgery by announcing an intimate run of North American acoustic shows scheduled for November. The project, titled the "No Secrets Tour," will see the singer visiting seven American cities over a two-week period. The British singer shall start the tour in the US before traveling to Canada for a performance and concluding the tour in Phoenix. Jessie's first show shall be in Atlanta, GA, on November 5 at the Center Stage Theater. Then, she would perform at the Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C., on November 7. The listing continued with shows in Philadelphia and New York before Jessie took the tour to Canada for a performance at Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on November 12. She would return to the US on November 14 to perform in Chicago and wrap things up by November 19 at The Van Buren in Phoenix, per Exclaim! Wishing Jessie J all the strength required to weather this storm!
