Singer Jessie J Reveals 'Worst Day So Far' In Emotional Cancer Journey Update
Jessie J is opening up about the lowest point she has experienced since her breast cancer diagnosis and the unexpected method she used to regain her composure.
The "No Secrets" hitmaker is well-known for sharing important details about her life with fans, from welcoming her first child with Chanan Colman to her recent health struggles. Now, she is getting candid about the challenges she faces navigating life with cancer.
Jessie J broke the news about her breast cancer diagnosis early this month in an emotional Instagram post. Although she initially declared she would leave the spotlight to undergo treatment, the sensational singer surprised fans days later with a North American Tour announcement.
Jessie got candid about her struggles on her Instagram Stories, revealing she experienced a hard time over the weekend.
"Had my worst day so far yesterday since my diagnosis and the busiest 3 months I have had in years," she confessed, noting work, cancer, life, and her young son had her mind completely drained.
The entertainer's mental state was so bad that she experienced "panic attacks, tears, big fears, anger" and felt overwhelmingly bad until she discovered a shocking way to shift her mood. "And you know what helped?" she concluded her first post before sharing the secret in a follow-up post, writing:
"I ate a corn on the cob [corn emoji]. Turns out it's extremely hard to panic or cry while eating one. Highly recommend. Instant [sic] mood shift."
Jessie implied in a series of follow-up posts that she wouldn't hide her low moments from fans amid her cancer battle, noting how important it was to her to acknowledge these negative emotions.
She stressed that "holding it in won't make it go away" and that it was better to let "fear, anger, sadness, and panic" flow to the surface. Jessie explained:
"So when I posted what I did yesterday about my current challenge in life, also while making light of the situation [corn emoji]. That was one day in 10 weeks that I just lost it and was completely drowned in all the negative and bad feelings any cancer journey can bring. Which is healthy and needed."
She added in a separate post that she was sharing her stance with fans because several people reached out to her after her corn post to advise her not to drown in negative emotions.
Although Jessie accepted these comments as people's way of caring for her, she stressed that her definition of strength stemmed from honesty and acknowledging her feelings.
Jessie concluded her message with a vow to be "Strong, fearless, Healthy, and make some jokes" about her situation, traits she first displayed when she announced her cancer diagnosis days earlier.
The Blast covered her emotional reveal, reporting that the singer shared a video detailing her health battle on Instagram. In the post, Jessie revealed she was diagnosed with "early" breast cancer in April, shortly before she ended her four-year hiatus from music.
She noted it was a wild coincidence that she marked her comeback with the singer "No Secrets," only to keep her health a secret from fans before releasing a second song called "Living My Best Life."
Despite her heartbreaking diagnosis, the media personality remained positive, focusing on the early detection of her breast cancer and how she planned to undergo surgery to treat the condition.
Jessie's humor stayed alive throughout the video, joking about the operation being "a very dramatic way to get a boob job."
Jessie added that she would need to leave the spotlight to undergo treatment but promised to return with "massive t-ts and more music." She continued joking about her situation in the post's caption, asking fans if it was "too soon to do a remix called 'Living my breast life'?"
Despite her playful take on her cancer diagnosis, Jessie acknowledged the severity of her situation and asked fans for a hug. Although her followers could not shower her with affection, they expressed their feelings in the comment section.
Many applauded her for being vocal about her struggles, while others wished her a speedy recovery and the best of health. The prayers and well wishes might have worked, as Jessie shocked fans by announcing her plans for a North American Tour just days later.
Jessie proved she planned on keeping her vow to return to music after her breast cancer surgery by announcing an intimate run of North American acoustic shows scheduled for November. The project, titled the "No Secrets Tour," will see the singer visiting seven American cities over a two-week period.
The British singer shall start the tour in the US before traveling to Canada for a performance and concluding the tour in Phoenix. Jessie's first show shall be in Atlanta, GA, on November 5 at the Center Stage Theater. Then, she would perform at the Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C., on November 7.
The listing continued with shows in Philadelphia and New York before Jessie took the tour to Canada for a performance at Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on November 12.
She would return to the US on November 14 to perform in Chicago and wrap things up by November 19 at The Van Buren in Phoenix, per Exclaim!
Wishing Jessie J all the strength required to weather this storm!

'Even after his daughter got him a 60k private jet like he demanded then he still didn't come even after the plane was paid for.' Loretta Finley, Tish Cyrus' mother, passed away roughly two years before Tish and Billy Ray divorced in April 2022. Trace's tirade against his father didn't end there. Popular TikTok star leaves US after being detained
LAS VEGAS -- LAS VEGAS (AP) — Khaby Lame, the world's most popular TikTok personality with millions of followers, has left the U.S. after being detained by immigration agents in Las Vegas for allegedly overstaying his visa. The Senegalese-Italian influencer, whose legal name is Seringe Khabane Lame, was detained Friday at Harry Reid International Airport but was allowed to leave the country without a deportation order, a spokesperson for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed in a statement. Lame arrived in the U.S. on April 30 and 'overstayed the terms of his visa,' the ICE spokesperson said. The Associated Press sent a message seeking comment Tuesday to the email address listed on Lame's Instagram account. He has not publicly commented on his detainment. His detainment and voluntary departure from the U.S. comes amid President Donald Trump's escalating crackdown on immigration, including raids in Los Angeles that sparked days of protests against ICE, as the president tests the bounds of his executive authority. A voluntary departure — which was granted to Lame — allows those facing removal from the U.S. to avoid a deportation order on their immigration record, which could prevent them from being allowed back into the U.S. for up to a decade. The 25-year-old rose to international fame during the pandemic without ever saying a word in his videos, which would show him reacting to absurdly complicated 'life hacks." He has over 162 million followers on TikTok alone. The Senegal-born influencer moved to Italy when he was an infant with his working class parents and has Italian citizenship. His internet fame quickly evolved. He signed a multi-year partnership with designer brand Hugo Boss in 2022. In January, he was appointed as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
