Wiz Khalifa doesn't believe the Earth is round: 'We live on a flat plane'

Perth Now27-04-2025

Wiz Khalifa seemingly believes Earth is flat.
The 'Black and Yellow' rapper has rejected the notion the planet is round and is convinced that humans reside on a "huge flat plane".
Asked if he thinks Earth is round, he said in a Patreon episode of 'The Joe Budden Podcast': "No.
'I just believe that we live on a flat plane, like a huge flat plane.
'It's only because I've travelled so much."
But guest host and academic Marc Lamont Hill then asked Wiz if he had ever travelled to the edge of the Earth.
Seemingly referring to the supercontinent of Pangaea, he said: "Nah, it's not that. I think that there's more masses than just what we see because it was one thing before and it spread out.
'Because when I travel, the routes that we take and how we do it, it's not possible to go up and down. You're just going straight. That's the only reason I think that."
The 37-year-old musician also cast doubt on space exploration.
He said: "I don't believe in space exploration at all. I don't believe that they explore space as much as they say that they do.'
Despite his comments, the 'See You Again' hitmaker's latest album, 'Kush + Orange Juice 2', features a photo of a round Earth on its cover.
The record is a follow-up to his 2010 album but Wiz recently admitted he "wasn't into doing a sequel" and "would always leave 'Kush + Orange Juice' alone", but his thoughts changed when he began working on the record.
He told Grammy.com: "I just thought, 'What would be the most satisfying for the fans and the people who support me? Should I start over and do something brand new, or re-create something that they already love and that they're already used to?'
"So that's what made me make the decision to work on a follow-up."

Brandi Glanville makes heart-breaking confession about 'hiding out' amid medical mystery

Brandi Glanville has been on a break from social media, because she can't bear to deal with "cruel comments" about her appearance. The 52-year-old reality star - who has been dealing with an undisclosed medical condition that has caused facial disfiguration for nearly two years - admitted she has been "hiding out" because of nasty posts about her looks. However, Brandi has vowed to return to "sharing authentically" on social media "without all the filters and heavy edits". She wrote on X: "It's been a minute since I posted on Patreon, but I'm going back and will be interacting on there again. I haven't posted much on any social site lately because I'm hiding out and don't want to deal with the cruel comments on my appearance, but I'll be posting and sharing authentically without all the filters and heavy edits.. See you there and don't forget to turn on your notifications for the daily drops (sic)" Earlier this month, the former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star admitted getting back to work had a huge "positive" impact on her health, after she teamed up with RIP Youth and Beks on new single 'Remedy'. Brandi told BANG Showbiz: "Getting back to work has had such a positive effect on both my mental and even my physical health during these hard times. "I'm looking forward to traveling again to promote and perform 'Remedy' with people I adore. Everyone who was involved in this song is awesome. "It's such a nice feeling to bring joy to people with this music 'Remedy', like with my books. "It's a positive change in comparison to 'Real Housewives'." What's more, Brandi told how she enjoys having "control" of her own narrative through music, instead of being at the mercy of an editing team. She said: "Unlike reality TV that fell into my lap - although I did enjoy some of it - doing this song 'Remedy' was completely my choice and such a creative pleasure. "I can breathe when I'm doing music because I get to write and deliver my own narrative. I don't have to worry about being edited badly or what false story will be pitched. I love LOVE and control."

Mariah Carey returning to Australia for the first time in over a decade to headline Fridayz Live

Mariah Carey is returning to Australia for the first time in over a decade to headline Fridayz Live. After not going ahead last year, the festival is making a big return with a massive Australian tour set to bring some iconic artists to Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Fantasy singer Carey will be joined by the likes of US rapper Pitbull, Battlefield singer Jordin Sparks and Let Me Blow Your Mind rapper Eve. Five-time Grammy winner Carey will be bringing her trademark glamour alongside a stacked setlist that will include bangers like Fantasy, Always Be My Baby, We Belong Together and Obsessed. Carey's highly anticipated return to Australia comes after she was forced to cancel her 2019 visit and as she celebrates twenty years of her landmark album, The Emancipation of Mimi. The legendary diva will be joined by 2010s icon Pitbull, whose recently courted an entirely new generation of fans thanks to his TikTok antics. Backed by an array of club hits including Hotel Room Service, Feel This Moment, I Know You Want Me and so many more, Pitbull will bring his showstopping Party After Dark Tour to Fridayz Live. A handful of others stars will join Carey and Pitbull, including rapper Wiz Khalifa, Grammy winner Lil' Jon, late 90s rapper Eve, British rapper Tinie Tempah and American Idol winner Jordin Sparks. The 2025 edition of Fridayz Live will kick off in Brisbane on Friday, October 17th at the Brisbane Showgrounds, before heading to Sydney's EDGIE Stadium on Saturday, October 18th. The following weekend, the festival moves west to Perth's Langley Park on Friday, October 24th, wrapping up in Melbourne at Marvel Stadium on Safc96bb9a18961d86af716c0e10773778turday, October 25th. Last year's festival was cancelled after event organisers felt that they had been unable to secure a line-up that was strong enough for fans. 'Hey Fridayz Fam … it's gonna burn for us to say this – Fridayz Live won't be happening this year,' they wrote at the time in a statement on social media. 'We're hitting the pause button – for now.' Previous line-ups have featured Jason Derulo, Boyz II Men, and Kelly Rowland. Fridayz Live presale will begin on May 26th, followed by general sale on June 2nd.
