Qatar: National Cyber Security Agency issues binding decision against e-commerce company

DOHA: The National Data Privacy Office, at the National Cyber Security Agency, has issued a binding decision against an e-commerce company.
The decision obliges the company to enhance its compliance with the Personal Data Privacy Protection Law and strengthen its administrative, technical, and financial procedures to ensure the effective protection of personal data.
The binding decision, No. 2 of 2024, was issued following the receipt of a personal data breach incident from the relevant department at the National Cyber Security Agency.
Investigations were promptly initiated, confirming that the company violated Articles 8, 13, and 14 of the Personal Data Privacy Protection Law. These violations pertain to obtaining individual consent, implementing data protection measures, ensuring data accuracy, and overseeing compliance of parties involved in personal data processing.

DOHA: The volume of real estate trading in sales contracts registered with the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice from April 27 to May 1 amounted to QR1,004,647,349, while the total sales contracts for the real estate bulletin for residential units during the same period amounted to QR68,035,067. The weekly bulletin issued by the department shows that the list of properties traded for sale included vacant lands, residential homes, apartment buildings, commercial buildings, shops and residential units. Qatar, Dominica sign air services agreement

DOHA: A bilateral talks session between the civil aviation authorities of the State of Qatar and Dominica was held on Monday, under which an air services agreement was signed in initials and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that allows designated carriers from both sides to operate an unlimited number of passenger and cargo flights, with full transportation rights. This signing represents a positive and significant step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the civil aviation sector, contributing to the realization of each country's vision in this field and their ongoing efforts to develop and improve air transport services. The memorandum was signed by In Charge of Managing Qatar Civil Aviation Authority Mohammed Faleh Al Hajri and Minister of Tourism and International Transport of Dominica HE Denise Charles. DOHA: The volume of real estate trading in sales contracts registered with the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice during the period from March 23 to 27 reached QR184,372,228, while the total sales contracts for the real estate bulletin for residential units during the same period reached QR37,521,237. The weekly bulletin issued by the Department shows that the list of properties traded for sale included vacant lands, residential homes, apartment buildings, and residential units.
