Jimmy Kimmel slams 'repulsive' woke Democrats in rant that will infuriate his fan base
While appearing on the Sarah Silverman Podcast, Kimmel slammed the 'loud' left for woke cancel culture that turns people off.
'It's not the party. It's not the majority. It's the loud voices that scare people from saying what they believe and make you think twice about a joke or whatever,' the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host remarked.
'You know, a lot of their points are valid, but a lot of them are also just repulsive, in that they repel people. They go like, "Oh, you're no fun. I don't want to be around you." And I think if you had to boil it down to one thing, that's kind of what it is.'
Kimmel and Silverman discussed how Trump supporters who have expressed their regret for casting their vote for the president have faced backlash from the left online.
Silverman noted the hate that podcaster Joe Rogan received after criticizing the president's second term.
'Now you see like these clips of Rogan saying, "Why is he doing this? He shouldn't be deporting people," and people go, "Fuck you, you support him, whatever." I don't buy into that. I don't believe the "f*** you, you supported him,"' Kimmel said.
'The door needs to stay open. If you wanna change your mind, that's so hard to do. If you want to admit you were wrong, that's hard and so rare to do, you are welcome,' he added.
Kimmel's remarks come as Fox News host Greg Gutfeld gave glowing praise of fellow late night host Jimmy Fallon for not being afraid of the left's cancel culture.
Gutfeld, who appeared on Fallon's show Thursday night, joked that the pairing was 'the biggest crossover since the Harlem Globetrotters visited "The Golden Girls."'
The Fox host dubbed Fallon 'a great, genuine guy who wants to make people laugh instead of putting them to bed angrier than 'The View at a salad bar.'
But it was his praise of Fallon's late-night show that grabbed everyone's attention, as he applauded Fallon's ability to break from the typical liberal late-night mold.
'Unlike the other guys, Jimmy doesn't reside in a liberal echo chamber,' Gutfeld said.
He also noted Fallon's decision to 'humanize' former President Donald Trump in 2016 by playfully ruffling his hair - a move that many on the left found controversial.
'The angry mob wanted a brutal take-down, but Jimmy did something different. He had fun, which is criminal to the liberal hive,' Gutfeld remarked.
The praise comes as the industry grapples with uncertainty following the cancellation of CBS host Stephen Colbert's late-night show.

CBS announced that the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which launched in 2015, will come to an end in May 2026 - which caused many other late-night hosts to fear if they could be next to get chopped.
Kimmel blasted the network for cancelling the show and posted a clip of the announcement with the caption, 'Love you Stephen.'
The shocking cancellation was announced just days after Colbert slammed the network for paying $16million to settle a lawsuit the president filed - with some speculating that the axe fell as political retaliation.
The network explained in a statement that the decision to cancel the show is 'purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night.'
Colbert didn't hesitate to take shots at his parent corporation, confessing in his opening monologue that he was 'offended' by the actions of his employer.
The late night host called the lawsuit against CBS a 'nuisance,' and claimed that Paramount could've 'easily fought it' - citing the company's own words calling the allegations 'completely without merit.'

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett's daughter Willow, 24, sparks concern posting a crying selfie with X-rated message
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett's daughter Willow sparked concern this week after she uploaded a photo of herself crying to social media alongside an X-rated caption. The singer, 24, uploaded the worrying selfie to her Instagram Story on Wednesday for her 11.5 million followers to see. The close-up photo showed Willow, who has multiple piercings and a neck tattoo, staring off into the distance with tears streaming down her face. Willow, who has previously hinted that she's interested in both men and women sexually, added the shocking caption: 'who ate all the p***y' While Willow may have intended her post to be humorous, fans were left worried for her well-being. 'Is she ok? She does not seem like she's ok' penned on concerned fan on X (formerly Twitter). Some social media users even went as far as to place blame on Willow's famous parents for her emotional outburst. The singer, 24, uploaded the worrying selfie to her Instagram Story on Wednesday for her 11.5 million followers to see One harsh comment read: 'Will Smith and Jada have utterly failed as parents.' Several commenters went on to slam the Smith family as 'broken' and 'weird' as they reacted to Willow's selfie on X. Some even suggested that Willow posted the crying photo and outrageous caption with the sole purpose of 'trolling' people online — something they suggested her brother Jaden Smith, 27, has done in the past. However, many of Willow's fans came to her defense as they praised her for being 'unfiltered' on social media unlike many of the other kids of A-list stars. 'This is the most unexpected caption of the year,' penned on X user, with another adding: 'she's so real for this' Willow's IG post also sparked conversations about her sexuality. Willow first came out as bisexual in 2019. And in April 2024, she offered further insight into her sexuality and gender identity. At the time, she shared with fans that she sees herself somewhere between 'heterosexual' and 'bi/pansexual.' Will Smith and Jada Pinkett's daughter Willow sparked concern this week after she uploaded a photo of herself crying to social media alongside an X-rated caption; seen in Febraury As for her gender, she indicated using an emoji that she mostly identifies as 'female' but with a slight lean towards 'non-binary.' Willow has been most open about her polyamorous lifestyle, which is when someone has 'open intimate or romantic relationships with more than one person at a time,' according to Verywell Mind. She actually spoke about being polyamorous for the first time while appearing on her mom Jada's Facebook chat show Red Table Talk back in 2021. 'The history of marriage really irks me. Just the history of marriage as a whole and what it has represented over the years, for women in particular,' she told Jada and her grandmother, Adrienne Banfield-Norrison, who is the show's co-host. 'With polyamory, I feel like the main foundation is the freedom to be able to create a relationship style that works for you and not just stepping into monogamy because that's what everyone around you says is the right thing to do,' Willow explained. 'So, I was like, "How can I structure the way that I approach relationships with that in mind?"' However, Willow admitted that she couldn't ever see herself going 'past two partners' in a relationship. The online discourse about Willow comes six months after she and Jaden accompanied their dad Will to the 2025 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California. Will skipped the star-studded red carpet and, instead, let his kids steal the spotlight at the Arena. He reunited with Willow and Jaden inside the arena, where they watched the likes of Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan and Beyonce take the stage from the comfort of VIP seats. Missing from the action was Will's wife Jada, who revealed back in 2023 that she and the Men In Black star had been secretly separated for seven years, beginning in 2016. The admission came three years after Jada's marriage to Will came under public scrutiny in 2020, when she interviewed him on her show Red Table Talk about an 'entanglement' she had four years earlier with their son's friend August Alsina, who is 21 years her junior. News of Jada's fling with August first emerged in early 2020 - but she and her spouse initially denied the allegations, claiming they were 'absolutely not true'. While the 'entanglement' put major strain on the couple's 30-year relationship, neither Will or Jada have ever filed for divorce. Earlier this year, it was reported that the couple were continuing to live in separate homes, though sources insisted that they are still together. Will and Jada 'are living their own lives but haven't completely severed ties,' a source told PEOPLE in January. 'Call it what you want,' the outlet's source added. Meanwhile, another inside said the pair, who got married in 1997, are 'still together' but 'have had separate homes for years.' In 2023 it was reported that Jada had her own house nearby to Will in Calabasas — the same year she confirmed their separation. Speaking to PEOPLE at the time, Jada claimed her and Will were 'still figuring it out. We've been doing some really heavy-duty work together. 'We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us.' While promoting her memoir Worthy on the Today show two years ago, Jada gave insight into her marital woes and told host Hoda Kotb that the relationship had left them 'exhausted.' 'I think by the time we got to 2016 we were just exhausted with trying,' Jada admitted. 'I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be,' she explained of what caused them to drift apart. In Jada's book, she describes the separation as a 'divorce,' but clarified they never filed any paperwork. 'It was not a divorce on paper. But it was a divorce,' Jada said. Meanwhile Will wrote in his 2021 memoir, Will, that there were times in their marriage when they were both 'miserable and clearly something had to change.' Jada later revealed how the pair found their way back to each other after Will infamously slapped comedian Chris Rock during the 2022 Oscars. The confrontation took place after Rock made a joke about Jada's shaved head, prompting Will to make his way to the stage, slap the presenter and say 'keep my wife's name out of your f**king mouth.'. 'That was a moment that I knew I would never leave Will's side after all those years thinking I would,' she told Extra. 'I didn't go in there as his wife, but I was leaving as his wife,' she added. 'You know, it's funny how intense situations can amplify love, and it was a pretty difficult time, but it definitely drew us closer. So yeah, it's crazy how things work.' While speaking to Daily Mail's YOU Magazine, Jada said 'many positive things came after' Smith slapped Rock. 'After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will's side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him. Who knows where our relationship would be if that hadn't happened?' After Jada spoke publicly about their marital estrangement, Will followed up with his own comments on the situation. In an email published in the New York Times, Will said her comments on their relationship were a wake-up call to him, adding that she was more 'resilient, clever and compassionate' than he'd realized. The King Richard actor told the paper, 'When you've been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in. 'And you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.' Despite the strides they've made in their relationship, Will and Jada have not been photographed together publicly since November 2024.

Brad Pitt purchases $12 million Hollywood Hills mansion from The Killers guitarist... two months after actor's LA home break-in
Brad Pitt has reportedly added to his massive real estate empire by purchasing a $12 million Hollywood Hills mansion from Dave Keuning - the lead guitarist of the rock band The Killers. The 61-year-old Oscar winner closed the deal on the Spanish-style abode earlier this month on August 5 - the same day that his mother Jane Etta Pitt passed away at the age of 84. The Fight Club actor was able to acquire the house for lower than the asking price, which Dave and wife Emilie had initially listed on the market for $13.99 million back in June, per the Wall Street Journal. The big purchase comes just two months after Brad's home located in Los Feliz was broken into in June - with three suspects recently being arrested. The star's new Hollywood Hills mansion consists of six bedrooms as well as eight bathrooms. Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Brad who declined comment. The house is located in the Outpost Estates community and offers scenic views of the bustling city of Los Angeles as well as the Pacific Ocean. The kitchen has up-to-date appliances and a modern design with marble countertops and backsplash. A spacious island is located in the middle of the kitchen - which also leads to an open living room area. The second level of the house contains a large balcony that also looks down at the backyard, where residents can spend time by the outdoor swimming pool. When not taking a dip in the cool water, there is also a designated barbeque and kitchen area outside, as well as a comfy couch and lounge chairs. A brick pathway leads to the front entrance of the mansion - which was built back in 1989 and is 8,385 square feet. Some rooms inside the abode contain arched ceilings while one of the bathrooms also has marble finishings for a glamorous touch. The estate additionally has wooden flooring and an arched hallway that leads to the open living room and fireplace. Brad has previously purchased and sold other homes in the Los Angeles area - such as in 2023 when he sold his $33 million Los Feliz mansion to Aileen Getty. The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor then went on to buy a $5.5 million house in the same neighborhood. Back in 2023, Daily Mail revealed that the star has been involved in around $72 million in real estate deals at the time. Brad - who is the ex-husband of Angelina Jolie - has also been spending time at his $40 million love nest located in Carmel, California with girlfriend Ines de Ramon. A local to the area told Daily Mail in June, 'Brad and Ines sightings in Carmel are regular. 'They hit the fancy restaurants and shop at boutiques like Tancredi & Morgen just like all the locals. Brad has been seen with a hat and sunglasses on at Nielsen Brothers Market.' The source added, 'No one hassles celebrities here because the locals don't like to make a fuss, they think approaching a celebrity is classless. So Brad and Ines get their space.' The beach city of Carmel is located just south of Santa Cruz - and is also known as Carmel-by-the-Sea. Brad - who is the ex-husband of Angelina Jolie - has also been spending time at his $40 million love nest located in Carmel, California with girlfriend Ines de Ramon; Brad and Ines seen in June in London In late June, Brad's $5.5 million Los Feliz abode was broken into and burglarized by thieves. At the time of the incident, the actor had been on a press tour in Japan to promote his new F1 movie. Earlier this week, it was revealed that three people suspected of burglarizing the star's home had been taken into custody, according to NBC LA. Other celebrities that have also been targets in criminal schemes throughout the L.A. area include Jennifer Aniston, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, as well as Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. Earlier this month, it was revealed that Brad's mother Jane Etta Pitt had reportedly passed away. The actor's family confirmed Jane's death in a social media post shared on August 6 but a public obituary claimed that she actually died on August 5 at the age of 84. Only weeks before the announcement of his mother's death, Brad had given a sweet shoutout to Jane while promoting his F1 movie. During an appearance on the Today show in June, the actor told host Savannah Guthrie, 'I've got to say hi to my mom because she watches you every morning.' The star flashed a big smile on his face before waving to his mom. He then blew a kiss towards the camera and added, 'To Jane Pitt. Love you, Mom.' Jane was born on August 13, 1940 in the city of Memphis and later settled in Springfield, Missouri with husband William 'Bill' Pitt. Before her passing, she had been a retired school counselor and former elementary school teacher. A 'private Celebration of Life will be held at a future date to honor Jane's remarkable life,' the public obit stated. Jane is survived by husband William Alvin Pitt, three children and 14 grandchildren. Brad is father to Shiloh, 19, twins Vivienne and Knox, 17, and three adopted children Maddox, 24, Pax, 21 and Zahara, 20 - whom he shares with ex-wife Angelina. The Oscar winner has also been busy filming his upcoming project The Continuing Adventures Of Cliff Booth.
