Odessa Police Department mourns the loss of loyal K9 Jimmie, a true hero & protector
ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The Odessa Police Department is mourning the loss of a beloved protector, K9 Jimmie, who was euthanized Monday morning.
More than just a K9, Jimmie was a steadfast companion, a devoted protector, and, most importantly, the best friend of Corporal Aguayo.
According to OPD, after retiring in 2020, K9 Jimmie enjoyed his well-earned rest. However, due to health complications, he was euthanized on Monday, February 3, and left behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.
'Though her heart is heavy, Corporal Aguayo finds comfort in knowing that K9 Jimmie is now running free and no longer in pain,' OPD wrote.
OPD shared that K9 Jimmie's courage knew no bounds. With every mission, he stood by Corporal Aguayo's side, facing challenges head-on with a heart full of determination and an unbreakable bond of trust.
'K9 Jimmie had a heart full of courage and unwavering devotion that made him truly special…Rest easy, my friend,' OPD stated.

Midland man arrested for allegedly using truck to hit wife during domestic dispute
MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- A Midland man is facing a felony charge after police say he intentionally struck his wife with a vehicle during an argument Saturday morning. 61-year-old Ralph Allan Olson was arrested on June 7 and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony. His bond was set at $75,000. As of Monday, Olson remained in custody at the Midland County Detention Center. No attorney was listed for him in court records. According to an arrest affidavit, Midland Police responded to a call just after 9 a.m., near Holloway Drive, for a reported accident involving a pedestrian. Officers arrived and found the victim, identified as Olson's wife, with visible scrapes and bruises on both knees and her left arm. Olson allegedly told officers that he and his wife had been in a verbal argument earlier that morning. He said he left the home but returned a short time later and saw her walking near the curb. Olson admitted he 'sped by out of spite' following the argument and struck her with his brown Ford F-150 on the passenger side of the vehicle. The victim confirmed the couple had been arguing and said she was walking along the curb when she noticed Olson's truck approaching. She told officers she was struck by the passenger-side hood and mirror, which knocked her to the ground. Despite her injuries, she initially told police she did not want to pursue charges. However, officers reviewed security footage from a nearby residence, which reportedly showed Olson driving at a high rate of speed through the residential neighborhood and making no attempt to avoid hitting the woman until after the impact. The video also showed that the victim was walking near the curb and not obstructing the roadway. Several witnesses told police that Olson did not immediately return to the scene after the collision. Due to the totality of the evidence, including Olson's admission, video footage, and eyewitness accounts, he was placed under arrest and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Henry County car chase ends in drug arrest, one still at large
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Henry County Sheriff's Office said a man and a woman wanted in Henry County on drug charges led deputies on a vehicle pursuit near Bassett on June 10. According to the sheriff, deputies attempted to pull over a green Ford Ranger pickup truck on the 1500 block of Stones Dairy Road around 4 p.m. on Tuesday when the driver, 25-year-old Brandee Taylor Feazelle of Collinsville, allegedly fled. Deputies began to pursue Feazelle down Stones Dairy Road before turning onto Jarrett Drive, the sheriff said. As the chase continued, deputies allegedly witnessed the passenger door being opened 'multiple' times, suggesting that one of the occupants may have been attempting to flee. Teen charged with robbery at Collinsville store, sheriff said The sheriff said that Feazelle then stopped the Ford Ranger behind a location at Jarrett Drive and exited the vehicle before allegedly attempting to flee on foot. James Shaffer, who was identified as the passenger in the front seat, also fled the scene into a wooded area behind a nearby trailer, according to the sheriff. Deputies also apprehended a third person who attempted to flee the scene; however, it was determined they had no outstanding warrants and were later released. A K9 Deputy responded to the scene and conducted a track to locate Shaffer, but the search was unsuccessful. Feazelle and Shaffer were both wanted on outstanding warrants. A search of the vehicle was then conducted, during which narcotics and drug paraphernalia were allegedly seized. Those items were collected and will be sent to the Virginia Department of Forensic Science Western Lab in Roanoke for testing. Three arrests made in Henry County homicides and human trafficking cases Brandee Taylor Feazelle has been arrested and charged with the following outstanding warrants: Possession of Schedule I or II Controlled Substances (Virginia Code Section §18.2-250) Probation Violation (Virginia Code Section §19.2-306) Additionally, Feazelle was charged with: Fail to Stop for Law Enforcement (Virginia Code Section§ 46.2-817) Loud Exhaust (Virginia Code Section §46.2-1049) Improper Tread Depth (Virginia Code Section§ 46.2-1043) Feazelle is currently being held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center without bond. James William Shaffer is still wanted by the Henry County Sheriff for the following charges: Possession of a Schedule I/II Drug (Virginia Code Section § 18.2-250) Possession of a Schedule I/II Drug (Virginia Code Section § 18.2-250) The Henry County Sheriff said the investigation is ongoing.
