Kerry hotel to host works by Andy Warhol and Salvador Dalí in upcoming art and sculptures exhibition

The exhibition, courtesy of Irish gallery Gormleys, will see the lodge and its 300-acre estate provide the backdrop for a selection of sculptures and artworks.
Artworks by Warhol, Dali and Patrick Rubenstein will be complimented by a collection of life-size outdoor sculptures that will be positioned around the lodge's grounds between the Sheen River and the scenic mountains of Kenmare Bay.
Oliver Gormley said the upcoming display of art at Sheen Falls will mark the first time that Gormleys Gallery will host an exhibition in Kerry.
It will follow in the footsteps of 'Art and Soul', one of Ireland's biggest art and sculpture events, which is held at Castlemartyr Resort in Cor, The K Club in Kildare and Culloden Estate in Belfast.
'One of Ireland's most acclaimed artists—and proud Kerry native — Liam O'Neill will debut a brand-new collection of sculptures, adding a special local dimension to the exhibition,' Mr Gormley said.
'Inside the hotel, guests can admire iconic pieces by global icons, including Warhol, Dali and Rubinstein, alongside an array of celebrated Irish artists.'
Sheen Falls general manager, Brian Loughnane, said the exhibition will create an 'unforgettable cultural experience for guests and visitors'.
The free exhibition will officially open on Sunday, September 14 at 4pm and run until Sunday, October 12.
The display will open daily to the public from 11am to 7pm, but will be closed on certain days to accommodate private events.
An 'Art Appreciation Dinner' with live entertainment will be held at Sheen Falls as part of the exhibition on Tuesday, September 16.

Guests will get a guided tour of the exhibition and a conversation with featured artists Liam O'Neill, John Redmond and Jenny Belton before they are seated for a refined three-course dinner with paired wines, designed by the hotel's executive chef Mark Treacy.

'Bring on the noise' - Oasis arrive in Dublin ahead of sold-out Croke Park gigs

Oasis have touched down in Ireland ahead of the legendary Britpop band's two sold-out shows at Dublin's Croke Park this weekend. Excitement is building as the Gallagher brothers and co. are set to play their first gigs on Irish soil since 2009 when they take to the stage at GAA HQ on Saturday and Sunday. Rumours emerged on social media that the band were due to fly into Dublin on Wednesday, with some die-hard fans making the trip to Dublin Airport in the hopes of catching a glimpse of Liam and Noel. And it seems the online rumours were true, with Oasis guitarist Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs sharing a picture of the Irish coast from the band's plane on his Instagram account on Wednesday evening. "Bring on the noise," the musician captioned the post, which also included emojis of the Irish tricolour. Oasis have been tipped to spend their stay in Dublin at the luxurious five star Intercontinental Hotel, located almost seven kilometres away from Croke Park, with hotel room prices start from €700 per night. The property is nestled on two acres, homing 215 bedrooms in total, boasts five restaurants and bars and an award-winning spa for when the Gallagher's want to relax after their sold-out shows. As well as promising privacy to guests, the hotel includes different suites with balconies that offer differing views of the courtyard and city skyline and an Italian marble bathroom with countless other additional amenities. It wouldn't be the first time the Gallagher brothers have stayed there. In 2023, Noel hired a plush suite to conduct his press interviews for his High Flying Birds tour and promoting his new album. The Gallagher brothers have a long and storied connection to the Ireland - their parents' homeland. Born in Manchester to Irish Catholic working-class parents, Noel and Liam are the sons of Margaret 'Peggy' Sweeney from Charlestown, Co. Mayo and Thomas 'Tommy' Gallagher from Duleek, Co. Meath. The Gallagher family lived in a council estate and were part of Manchester's vibrant working-class Irish community. The boys attended Catholic schools and Noel even played Gaelic football in his teenage years. Growing up, Noel and Liam's mother was the central figure in their lives and the strongest influence in shaping their Irish sense of identity. Peggy has previously said that she hoped to be in attendance at Croke Park this weekend for the band's sold-out concerts, but was recovering from hip surgery. ‘See you in Dublin, bring the noise' – Oasis guitarist lands in Ireland ahead of sold-out Croke Park gigs

The guitarist has re-joined Oasis alongside the Gallagher brothers and members Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker for their reunion tour, which continues in Dublin this weekend. Sharing several Irish flag emojis and a view of the Dublin coast from a plane, the musician said: 'Bring on the noise." He also shared a photo of fans enjoying a previous gig on the tour, telling Irish fans: 'See you in Dublin, bring the noise.' According to NME, Noel Gallagher told fans in Cardiff that Arthurs is the one responsible for the reunion tour, saying: 'On guitar, if it wasn't for him, none of this would have happened.' Arthurs, a founding member of the band, played with Oasis for their first three albums before departing in 1999 and has played with Liam Gallagher's solo band in recent years. After a 16-year hiatus, the Gallagher brothers announced last August that they would perform together for the first time since the band's split in 2009. They will bring their highly anticipated Live '25 tour to Dublin for two sold-out nights on Saturday and Sunday, August 16 and 17. Extra rail services to Dublin are planned for the upcoming weekend as crowds are set to descend on Croke Park for the gigs. On the first night of the tour last month, the band thanked their fans for 'putting up with us over the years'. During the gig, Liam apologised to fans for how long it had taken for them to reunite. As they broke into fan-favourite Champagne Supernova, their final song of the evening, he said: 'Right you beautiful people, this is it. Nice one for putting up with us over the years, we know we've been difficult. A movie, produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, is being made in conjunction with the reunion tour. Formed in Manchester in 1991, the rock band was led by lead guitarist Noel and his brother, lead vocalist Liam, during their 18 years together. Oasis signed to independent record label Creation Records in 1993, rising to fame with the release of their debut chart-topping album Definitely Maybe on August 29 1994. They had hits with songs including Don't Look Back in Anger, Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall and Live Forever. Dig Out Your Soul, the band's last studio album, was released in 2008, just months before their dramatic split.
