A huge vinyl fair is taking over Sunset Strip for one day only
Part of Summer on Sunset, Spinning Sunset: A Vinyl Wax Fair will take over The Pink Dot's parking lot on Saturday, August 16, from 1pm to 7pm. There, music fans, vinyl heads and bargain hunters can mix and mingle among booths from local record stores and vintage vendors while grooving to an all-vinyl DJ set.
But that's only part of the all-day festivities. Sure, jamming with fellow music lovers on the Sunset Strip is a great way to spend a Saturday, but this is L.A. We can't just party all the time.
Stores and hotels along the strip are also getting in on the action, including all-day, themed Soul Cycle classes. Also participating are Andaz West Hollywood, where Riot House restaurant hosts the event's official happy hour with specialty cocktails and food and drink discounts, and Hotel Ziggy, which will host the official after party from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Meanwhile, Sunset House LA hosts a one-day gallery pop-up, The Rebel Lens Gallery + Vinyl Spinning, which pairs some of the most iconic photos in music history with DJ sets to try to recapture some of the magic that made the Strip so iconic. Popular restaurant Katana will offer thirsty patrons a specialty drink for the day, and Cavatina at Sunset Marquis will have a "Sunset Vinyl Vibes Menu," with food and drinks named after artists and albums, plus a "Heaven's Door Whiskey Flight" for $35. Also at the Marquis, DJs will be spinning poolside all day before moving into Bar 1200 for the night.
And check out the discounts offered just for that day by Pink Dot & Urbn Leaf, Book Soup and The Viper Room.
Spinning Sunset is the centerpiece event of Summer on Sunset, dedicated to reminding people just how cool and cultural that little stretch of street is. After all, where else can you enjoy a happy hour with both $9 glasses of wine and stunning views of the Los Angeles skyline than at Mondrian's iconic Skybar?

Orlando Bloom's ex wife Miranda Kerr makes allegiance clear as she shares video of Katy Perry performing after the singer enjoyed a cosy dinner date with Justin Trudeau
Miranda Kerr has made her allegiants clear as she shared a video of Katy Perry performing on Instagram on Tuesday, weeks after the singer split from fiancé Orlando Bloom. It comes as Katy sparked new romance rumours on Monday with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as they enjoyed a cozy dinner date in Montreal at the city's Le Violon restaurant. And now Miranda, who was married to Orlando from 2010 to 2013, has shared a gallery of pictures with her 14.3million followers from her 'summer so far' which included a video of Katy performing during her Lifetimes Tour. The pop star performed hit California Girls at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on July 15, and Miranda beamed for a selfie from the crowd with model pal Amélie Tremblay. The Aussie supermodel, who has previously gushed she 'adores Katy', is the mother of the Lord Of The Rings star's son Flynn, 13, while the I Kissed A Girl songstress shares four-year-old daughter Daisy with Orlando. Fans rushed to the comments to praise Miranda for her 'sweet friendship' with the Roar hitmaker. They wrote: 'It's always refreshing to see ladies supporting each other especially in blended family situations; Love the mama and step mama love; 'Randy and Katy - the sweetest friendship ever; She hug Katy Perry by came to her concert; Girl support girl. Miranda you are one classy lady'. Elsewhere in her photo dump, the model shared a black and white photo of the Eiffel Tower as she spend time in Paris as well as a number of baked good. She also snapped a picture rolling out pastry with hers and son Flynn's name written on parchment paper and she stunned in a plunging top during a lavish meal out. Miranda, who is now married to Snap Inc. co-founder and CEO Evan Spiegel, has only ever had kind things to say about her ex and Katy, as she gushed in 2022 that she 'adores' the singer. Miranda and Orlando began dating back in 2007, with an engagement following in June of 2010. They were married just a month later, and the couple welcomed their son Flynn in January 2011. But in October 2013, the two announced that they were divorcing and had already separated months earlier. The post comes days after Katy sparked romance rumours with Justin Trudeau as they were filmed dining together in Montreal at the city's Le Violon restaurant. In a video obtained by Daily Mail, the pair leaned over a table towards one another as they intimately chatted. A smiling Katy, who is currently on the Canadian leg of her panned Lifetimes Tour, was seen gesturing as Trudeau intently listened. Daily Mail has contacted representatives for comment and has yet to hear back. It has been a tough few months for the unlikely pairing - with Katy weathering her tough split from former fiancé Orlando, a flop album, 143, and immense backlash over her April Blue Origin space trip. Katy and Justin started their romantic evening with a park stroll, and headed for drinks after dinner at Taverne Atlantic, with sources telling TMZ they enjoyed some drinks on the terrace. In a video obtained by the publication, the popstar looked sensational in a black and white dress, while Trudeau cut a dapper figure in a navy shirt and slacks. Meanwhile, Trudeau is navigating life outside of 24 Sussex after his resignation in January following a dramatic fall from grace. Trudeau shares three children with ex wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, from whom he announced a split in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. Sophie was a childhood friend and classmate of Trudeau's older brother Michel, who died in an avalanche in 1998 aged 23. They began dating in 2003 after reconnecting as adults and were engaged a short time afterwards. Katy and Orlando began dating in 2016 and got engaged on Valentine's Day 2019. Split speculation swirled for months before the pair finally confirmed the end of their romance last month. Representatives for the pair confirmed to Daily Mail last month that 'Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting. They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.' The Teenage Dream hitmaker - who is currently on her Lifetimes Tour - was previously married to Russell Brand from 2010 until their divorce in 2012.

Rochelle Humes looks radiant as she shares a loved-up album of family snaps with husband Marvin and their children
Rochelle Humes looked radiant as she shared a series of sweet family snaps on Instagram on Tuesday. The former Saturdays singer, 36, shares three children - Alaia Mai, Valentina and Blake - with JLS star Marvin, 40. And showing that she is ever the family woman, Rochelle gave a glimpse into her summer with her adorable family. In on snap, the singer and Marvin looked happier than ever as they posed for a loved-up snap together at the KissStory festival. Rochelle cut a stylish figure in a cropped Miu Miu navy jacket and jorts, while Marvin donned an all black ensemble. Another shot showed the beauty in a photo booth with her children as they posed for fun-filled snaps during a day out at a Jellycat pop up in London. This was followed by a sweet photo of her daughter and Marvin at the diner table as she captured a candid moment. Rochelle also included snaps of her sister Sophie along with some head turning fashion snaps. Alongside the photo dump, the star penned: 'Some summer stuff that's made me a happy girl.' It comes after Rochelle admitted she would be 'lost' if she didn't have 'help' at home, despite previously having a 'bad experience' using a childminder. During a Q&A session with her Instagram followers in April, the star was asked if she has help at home to support her and Marvin when they are busy with work. Rochelle opened up on having two people help her with the kids and her house - her mother Roz Wiseman and a lady called Dita, who she said is also like family. She explained: 'I do have help, I'm going to be honest, I'm not sure I'd be able to spin as many plates if I didn't. 'Obviously the children are in school 5 days a week (Blake in preschool), Marvin hosts radio 11-1 so his hours slot perfectly around the school run. We have an incredible lady (called Dita) who helps with the house. There were also some head turning fashion snaps 'She's like family and has worked with us for years and then my mum helps us SO much, we would be lost without her. I feel so lucky that our nanny is their actual Nan. 'We always try and make sure we are pulling opposite work shifts so one of us is always there! The only time that's not possible is when we record our TV show [The Hit List] and then the children stay with my mum. 'I squeeze as much into school hours as humanly possible and take it week by week.' Rochelle previously shared that she would never use a nanny again after experiencing trust issues in the past. The This Morning host said she relies on her mum Roz to help out with family life, after having 'a bad experience' using a childminder. She told Zoe Hardman and Georgia Dayton on Made By Mammas: The Podcast that it was 'really awkward' to be off work as the nanny would still be around the home. She added: 'I had a bit of a bad experience with like, trust issues and stuff in a previous nanny role before. So, it just didn't work with me.' The presenter previously said planning ahead and taking time out for self care has helped her be a better parent. She told Mother & Baby: 'I just think when things get overwhelming, you just have to try and find time to take care of yourself in all of that. 'I do as much as I can the night before. 'That's just little things just to make me feel like I'm halfway there. 'So whether that's laying out the kids uniforms, or filling up their water bottles because that's one thing down for the morning or even laying out my own outfit.'

Shoppers ‘obsessed' with new Terry's Chocolate treat launching on supermarket shelves
CHRISTMAS isn't complete without Terry's chocolate orange but a new launch from the brand is perfectly placed for summer. Last year Terry's branched out to offer minty-flavoured products including a chocolate ball and mini segments. 1 Now an eagle-eyed shopper has spotted Terry's chocolate mint bars on the shelves of Sainsbury's, offering a new way to tuck into the treat. Other fans were eager to get their hands on the new item. One said: "That's being added to my shopping list thank you." Another added: "I will have to get to Sainsbury's." Terry's is well-known for its zingy orange flavoured chocolate but the mint version has also been a hit with fans. Gushing shoppers wrote online: "I love these even more than the orange flavour." Another said: "Really nice mint flavour (found other mint choc quite synthetic) would highly recommend." A third added: "I do not like chocolate orange so had never bought Terry's but these are amazing and my whole family are obsessed. Just like after dinner mint but so much nicer as it is milk chocolate and not dark." The mint flavoured bars are £1.25 and stocked in Sainsbury's. But if you can't find the bars in your local shop, the mint chocolate balls are currently more widely available. The cheapest price we could see was from Asda at £1.98. Last year, the brand also launched Terry's Chocolate Mint Crisp Minis. These are mint chocolate segments with crispy pieces inside. The item was a seasonal product but fans will no doubt be hoping it returns again this year. The brand also offers mini and big chocolate flavoured eggs as part of its special Easter ranges. And for anyone who wants a truly cooling treat, Terry's chocolate orange ice cream is currently available in Iceland, £4.50 for a box of four. Terry's plain milk chocolate balls are widely available in supermarkets priced at around £2.50. Terry's Chocolate Orange is a much-loved icon in the confectionery world and has been available to buy since 1932. Around 44 million of the zesty treats are sold globally each year, so the brand has to tread carefully when launching new flavours. Earlier this year, a TikTok account @belongwealth posted a video divulging a little-known secret about the household name. The clip revealed that the iconic brand had another delicious product predating the chocolate orange.. the chocolate apple. The poster gave some context to the history of the product, saying: "In 1926, Terry's Chocolate Works, a family run factory in York, released a dessert chocolate apple. "It did pretty well, so in 1932 they released a dessert chocolate orange, which did really well." According to the TikToker, the chocolate apple did not have the longevity of the orange ball we know and love today because during World War 2, the Terry's chocolate factory was taken over to use as a base for building aircraft blades. After the war, the factory was returned to the Terry's. But due to rationing and limitations on cocoa imports, the company phased out the less popular chocolate apple and focused on the much-loved orange. How to save money on chocolate We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar. Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs... Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars. Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere. Websites like let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal. Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced. They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged. Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar. So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
