UFC full fight: Michael Morales runs through Neil Magny for first-round TKO
Neil Magny has stood as a welterweight test for many years. Some rising prospects get through him and go on to big bouts, but others aren't able to, proving they're not up to par against the top of the division.
This past August at UFC on ESPN 62, undefeated contender Michael Morales proved he's ready for the big names, stopping Magny in impressive fashion in the first round of their welterweight bout. Morales landed a big spinning elbow, dropped Magny, and then proceeded to land ground-and-pound until the referee waved off the fight. It was a big win for the Ecuadorian.
You can watch Morales' dominant win over Magny in the video above.
Morales (17-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) returns to the cage this Saturday in the main event of UFC Fight Night 256 (ESPN+) – which takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. He takes on former UFC welterweight title challenger and veteran Gilbert Burns (22-8 MMA, 15-8 UFC) in a five-round bout.
