BBC and ITV will share the coverage of group-stage and knockout games — splitting them equally — but will both show the final, after covering the previous edition of the tournament together as well.
'Extending our partnership with FIFA alongside ITV ensures that the drama and spectacle of the Women's World Cup remains free-to-air,' said BBC director of sport Alex Kay-Jelski in a statement on their website. 'BBC Sport has been a longstanding champion of women's football, helping to elevate the game to where it is today – a sport experiencing unprecedented growth in popularity and reach across BBC Sport platforms.'
England lost to Spain in the 2023 World Cup final, but will get the chance to beat the reigning world champions in the Euros final on Sunday as the national teams face each other again.
'It's vital we ensure tournaments like the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027 remains free-to-air for generations of football fans to enjoy, with support of the game at an all time high,' said ITV director of sport Niall Sloane in the same statement.
The tournament will be shown in the United States on Netflix, who beat Fox in the bidding process and will also show the 2031 edition of the tournament.
The agreement comes on the same day that Tour de France cycling coverage will stop being free-to-air in the UK as Warner Bros Discovery gain exclusive rights.
The 2025 Euros final between England and Spain kicks off at 5pm on Sunday.

Leverkusen striker Schick dismisses team's title chances after Xhaka becomes latest to leave
LEVERKUSEN, Germany (AP) — Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick says his team is not capable of fighting for the German Bundesliga title without new signings, after Granit Xhaka joined a string of title-winning players to leave the club. Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is faced with an even bigger rebuild as Leverkusen's new coach after midfielder Xhaka joined English Premier League side Sunderland. Attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz, right back Jeremie Frimpong and defender Jonathan Tah — all crucial to Leverkusen's league and cup double in 2024 — left the club this off-season and coach Xabi Alonso departed for Real Madrid. 'The most important players have gone and that obviously hurts,' Schick, who was Leverkusen's top scorer last season with 27 goals in 45 games, told Sky Sport Germany in an interview released late Wednesday. 'Right now, we're hoping that we can still get a couple of good players in, because we're not currently in a position where we're capable of fighting for the title.' Czech striker Schick said, as a forward, he'd most miss attacking midfielder Wirtz because 'the quality that he has is very hard to find,' but that Xhaka is the biggest loss to the team as a whole. 'He was a leader,' Schick said. 'He was the player with the most experience.' The bulk of Leverkusen's off-season spending so far has gone on American attacking midfielder Malik Tillman from PSV Eindhoven and former Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah, while the club's also signed Brentford's highly-rated goalkeeper Mark Flekken. Schick, however, picked out a lesser-known name as his most impressive signing of the summer. Ibrahim Maza, a 19-year-old midfielder signed from second-tier German club Hertha Berlin, is 'really a good player,' he said. ___ AP soccer: The Associated Press

Popular Blackburn Rovers player reflects on Ewood Park anniversary
Makhtar Gueye is hoping to continue his progress as a Blackburn Rovers player after a year of adaptation in England. The forward arrived on July 30, 12 months ago. He was part of a flurry of activity from Rovers, with their first signing not arriving until the end of pre-season. By contrast, this season's flow has been much more succinct. Valerien Ismael has four new signings through the door with two to three more eyed in the next month. Gueye, like Yuki Ohashi, has been adjusting to English culture after arriving at the club without any grasp of the language. The physicality and intensity of the division have also been a learning curve. READ MORE: The big striker has been taking English lessons once a week, alongside team-mate Ohashi, and gave an update on his progress after marking a year at the club. "I'm happy to be here, I'm very happy," Gueye told RoversTV. "I didn't have a pre-season when I came here from Belgium. Now I've had a pre-season this year and that makes a difference physically. So I'm very good. "My English is a lot better, I understand more. I can speak when I want to. Lots of people have helped me. I had a teacher during the week for an hour, me and Yuki. "Trav has not helped me; he is always laughing at me. Seriously, he's a good guy, a very funny guy." Augustus Kargbo conducted the interview, with their on-screen camaraderie highlighting their growing friendship. On the pitch, they have been linking up in pre-season. Gueye has scored twice and laid on one for his team-mate against Qatar SC. For the season ahead, the 27-year-old wants to add to his six goals last term. "My objectives are the same, to score more goals and to do more work," he said. "We want to work for the team and help the team. Me and Yuki want to score lots of goals. We're always working hard and we want to win games."
