Those books were also adapted into a 2015 television series starring Mark Rylance as Cromwell and Damien Lewis as King Henry. It's now a decade later and the third book in Mantel's series, 'The Mirror and the Light,' has also been adapted for the small screen. Its finale airs on Sunday, April 27.
Joining the host Gilbert Cruz on this week's episode is Mantel's former editor Nicholas Pearson. Pearson currently serves as the publishing director of John Murray Press in Britain, but he previously worked for more than two decades at the publisher Fourth Estate, where he had the opportunity to work with Mantel on her 'Wolf Hall' trilogy. He describes what it was like to encounter those books for the first time, and to work with a great author on a groundbreaking masterpiece of historical fiction.

'It's something my husband and I discuss all the time. 'Do we want to show our son?'' she said. 'We will know when the time might be right, but it's also a protection.' 4 arrested in break-in at Brad Pitt's home, other residences, sources say
Four people have been arrested in a series of burglaries that included the home of actor Brad Pitt, law enforcement sources told The Times. The suspects were arrested in a series of burglaries across Los Angeles — some of which targeted celebrities, including the Los Feliz home of Pitt, according to two law enforcement sources. Los Angeles police said the arrests were made in the 77th Division in South L.A. on Thursday evening. Pitt's home was broken into the night of June 25 while the movie star was away promoting his new movie 'F1.' Los Angeles police officials said a break-in at a home occurred around 10:30 that night. At least three suspects scaled the security fence at Pitt's Los Feliz-area house and smashed a window before entering, making 'a real mess' and stealing some items, according to sources not authorized to discuss the case. Pitt's possessions were tossed and overturned as the thieves 'had gone through looking for what they could take of value,' said one source familiar with the crime. Pitt's Midcentury Modern home, dubbed the Steel House, is one of several owned by the movie star. He was in London at the time for the European premiere of 'F1: The Movie.' Pitts' is one of several celebrity homes recently burglarized, alongside those of soccer star Olivier Giroud, actor Nicole Kidman and Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Brandon Blackstock's cause of death revealed, confirming details about cancer battle
Talent agent Brandon Blackstock, who was the ex-husband of pop star Kelly Clarkson and the father of their two children, died Thursday after losing his battle with melanoma. Butte-Silver Bow County coroner Dan Hollis confirmed Blackstock's cause of death to The Times on Monday. He also confirmed that Blackstone died at his home in Montana under hospice care and surrounded by his family, as first reported by People. The coroner said Blackstock's manner of death was natural causes. The official cause of death clarifies information shared by Blackstock's family, who announced his death last week in a statement shared with The Times and on social media. Blackstock 'bravely battled cancer for more than three years,' the statement said, not giving specifics. Melanoma is a kind of skin cancer that first affects cells that help produce pigment for skin color, according to the Mayo Clinic. Blackstock's family announced his death shortly after Clarkson postponed four August shows in her Studio Sessions residency in Las Vegas for personal reasons. She wrote in an Instagram post that 'this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.' Clarkson and Blackstock married in 2013 and split in 2020, finalizing their divorce in 2022. They share a daughter and a son. Blackstock also had two children from his first marriage. Since her ex-husband's death, footage of Clarkson wiping away tears during a July 26 show in Las Vegas resurfaced on social media. In the video, the 'American Idol' alumna reflects on the changes she had on her song 'Piece by Piece,' which she first wrote about Blackstock.
