Gurgaon braces for a wet week ahead, dip in temp likely too
IMD officials have warned of potential waterlogging in urban areas like Gurgaon, especially if the rainfall intensifies midweek. Residents in low-lying localities or areas prone to drainage issues have been advised to remain cautious.
On Saturday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 31.7 degrees Celsius, a slight dip of 0.1 degrees Celsius from the previous day, while the minimum rose to 26 degrees Celsius—up by 0.4 degrees Celsius.
Rainfall was measured at 1.5mm, according to data from the KVK automatic weather station (AWS).

Sunday could bring more intense weather. According to the forecast, parts of the city may receive sustained rain and thunderstorms in the morning, followed by scattered storms in the afternoon.
Daytime temperatures are likely to dip slightly to around 31 degrees Celsius.
"The unsettled pattern is expected to persist into early next week.
On Monday, some areas may see isolated thunderstorms in the morning, clearing later for some sunshine. Tuesday brings a higher risk of afternoon thunderstorms, with similar daytime highs around 32 degrees Celsius," said an IMD official.
The heaviest rainfall is likely on Wednesday morning, when dense cloud cover and intense showers are expected. While the rain may taper off later in the day, the sky will remain mostly overcast.
Temperatures will hover around 31 degrees Celsius during the day and dip to 26 degrees Celsius at night.
By Thursday and Friday, conditions may gradually stabilise. Thursday will start out cloudy but could clear up later. Friday is expected to be mostly cloudy, with temperatures climbing to 34 degrees Celsius.
With a combination of heavy morning showers and afternoon thunderstorms in the mix, the city is staring at several days of wet commutes and muggy weather.
