Since 1998, Henry Schein's "Back to School" program has provided TSMs with opportunities to make a difference through hands-on volunteerism. In partnership with not-for-profit social service organizations, TSMs pack backpacks full of school supplies and oral hygiene kits, helping underserved children start the school year with confidence. Over the years, the program has grown to a global scale, benefiting more than 75,000 children across the communities Henry Schein serves.
On August 14, Henry Schein welcomed hundreds of children and their families to its event at the Company's worldwide headquarters in Melville, N.Y. Approximately 400 pre-identified students received backpacks filled with school supplies, along with gift cards to help purchase their first day-of-school outfits. The evening was filled with family-friendly fun, including a barbecue, crafts, games, and engaging activities for all ages. To emphasize the value of education, the event featured a book tent offering a wide selection of free books generously donated by TSMs and KPMG LLP – a U.S. audit, tax, and advisory firm – through its Family for Literacy program and partnership with First Book, a nonprofit social enterprise. This memorable gathering was just one of many 'Back to School' celebrations taking place around the globe this season.
'Our 'Back to School' initiative is a powerful example of what Team Schein can accomplish when we come together in service of our communities,' said David Kochman, Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Henry Schein. 'Together, we are helping to provide children with more than just supplies — we are helping them feel seen, supported, and ready to learn.'
For the Melville event, Henry Schein partnered with 10 Long Island-based social service organizations to pre-identify participating children and their families: Bethany House; Espoir Youth Program, Inc.; Family and Children's Association; Hispanic Counseling Center; Iovino South Shore Family Center (Family Service League); SCO Madonna Heights; Social Service Volunteers of Nassau; The Raymar Children's Association; WellLife Network; and YES Community Counseling Center.
'We're grateful to Henry Schein for helping our students begin the year feeling ready and cared for,' said Katie Swanson, Executive Director, Bethany House of Nassau County. 'Our partnership with Henry Schein's 'Back to School' initiative is rooted in purpose. Thank you to Team Schein for their continued support of Bethany House.'

NEW YORK, August 19, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Town Lane ( a real estate investment management firm, today announced the off-market acquisition of The Goldton at Venice, a 167-unit, full continuum Senior Living community in Venice, Florida. The Community, which opened in 2023, offers Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care services to meet the needs of the region's growing senior population. "We are excited to announce the acquisition of Goldton at Venice another well-located, recently constructed, high quality senior housing asset to add to Town Lane's emerging Senior Housing portfolio as we continue to prioritize recently built, full continuum assets in growing markets. As with our prior acquisitions in both Naples and Sarasota, the underlying fundamentals within this market and Senior Housing broadly are compelling and this remains a high priority theme for us as a firm," said Tyler Henritze, Managing Partner at Town Lane. The asset will continue to be operated and leased by Atlas Senior Living, a leading senior housing management company with expertise across the sector and an established footprint in Florida where it currently manages seven other communities. Long-planned towers could soon rise along Morrissey Boulevard

The two-tower residential project at 75 Morrissey Blvd. would include a community park in between the two buildings. The project will incorporate flood resilience by elevating the property by five feet. CBT The Boston Planning and Development Agency board last week approved the towers as the first phase of the nine-acre master plan, which itself won initial approval in December 2023 two life-science laboratories, but the Copper Mill team pivoted after taking over from Center Court last year. 'The most acute need was housing,' said Andrew Flynn, the chief executive of Copper Mill and formerly the chief executive at student housing developer Scape USA, in an interview. Advertisement The project is among the largest housing developments approved in Boston in the past several years, following the BPDA board's Advertisement One-fifth of the homes at 75 Morrissey Blvd. will be set aside for residents making less than the area median income. That The 754-unit apartment project is the first phase of a seven-building master plan between Morrissey Boulevard and Interstate 93. The Boston Planning and Development Agency board approved the master plan in late 2023. CBT The project will also include a three-level, 414-space underground parking garage and 6,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The ground level retail stores will have deployable flood barriers at their entrances, said Phil Casey of architecture firm CBT in Boston. In a worst-case scenario, Casey said, the floor heights of the retail stores could be raised to manage future flooding. Beyond that ground-level flood mitigation, the site will be raised by five feet to ward off water from a Flynn knows those flood waters personally. A graduate of Boston College High School, which sits just across the street from the 75 Morrissey site, he recalled upperclassmen driving past younger students, walking from the MBTA JFK-UMass Red Line station, and splashing them with puddled water. It was important to incorporate flood protection at the 75 Morrissey site at the start of design, he said. 'It's not something you can do as an afterthought,' Flynn said. 'It has to be one of the leading design elements.' Copper Mill aims to start demolition of the vacant television studio at 75 Morrissey Blvd. later this year and ground-up construction of the first of the 18-story towers in 2026. Flynn said the firm has not formally marketed the project to investors, but intends to engage with capital markets now that the development's first phase has secured BPDA board approval. Advertisement Chicago-based real estate investment firm POB Capital, which through an entity for years has owned the nine-acre stretch of 35-75 Morrissey Blvd. (including the former television studio, former Beasley Media station and Star Market), will likely partner 'in some form' with Copper Mill throughout development, Flynn said. After an extended period of hesitancy to allocate large pots of money to specific projects, institutional investors are tentatively starting to crack open their pocketbooks. Flynn said institutional investors are increasingly eyeing opportunities to fund multifamily residential projects — especially those near transit — in 'flight to quality' markets like Boston. 'As they look at the spectrum, whether it's … industrial, office, hospital, or across geographies domestically, I think Boston multifamily is something that seems to have a bullseye on it,' Flynn said.
