EastEnders fans rediscover Chelsea Fox star's forgotten Coronation Street role
Gobsmacked EastEnders fans have unearthed Chelsea Fox star Zaraah Abrahams' former Coronation Street role.
The actress, 38, found fame as Magda in the TV adaption of Jacqueline Wilson's Girls in Love in 2003, before playing Michaela White in Waterloo Road for two years.
For the last five years she's appeared as Chelsea in the BBC soap, assuming the role from original actress Tiana Benjamin.
Some of her biggest storylines have included a relationship with abuser Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith), and later developing Stockholm syndrome.
We've also seen her feud with Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) when she framed her for enabling a mass crushing in Peggy's bar.
More recently, Chelsea was furious to learn that mother Denise (Diane Parish) was sleeping with her ex-boyfriend Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
However, years before the drama of Albert Square, actress Zaraah was treading the cobbles of Weatherfield.
Between 2005 and 2007, she played Underworld worker Joanne Jackson.
Arriving alongside her 'identical twin sister' Jessie (Nailah Cumberbatch), the girls finished one another's sentences and dressed in the same outfits – before eventually admitting that they were actually cousins.
Joanne had relationships with mechanic Nathan Harding (Ray Fearon) and her boss' son Jamie Baldwin (Rupert Hill), before moving on to Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson).
The latter love is playing out on our screens each afternoon in ITV3's Classic Corrie repeats, which has caught the attention of soap fans.
'Just flicked onto #ClassicCorrie. OMG I didn't know Zaraah Abrahams (Chelsea Fox in #EastEnders) was on Classic Corrie' said one viewer on X.
Another replied: 'Yes has been for a while. Just a small part though…'

In disbelief, a third added: 'I cannot believe you did not know. Surely! She also starred in Waterloo Road after she left Weatherfield.' More Trending
Later plots included Joanne being arrested by immigration officers, after confiding in Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh) that she came illegally to the UK from Liberia as a child.
After being released from a detention centre, Carla Connor (Alison King) fired her from the factory and Joanne threatened to take her to an employment tribunal.
She also accused Liam Connor (Rob James-Collier) of sexual harassment, and was handed a £5,000 pay out in exchange for her silence before fleeing the area.

The lyrics she used were: "And I don't want the world to see me." It comes after we told of Dan's raucous nights out with newly single Christine while Dan was still building bridges with Jac over previous cheating claims. A pal told The Sun: 'Dan and Christine have known each other for years. 'Their friendship goes as far back as 2019, when Jac was heading Down Under to the I'm A Celeb jungle, when they had a brilliant night out at a fund-raising gala in London. 'They stayed in touch sporadically and would bump into each other at events and their messages got pretty flirty. 'Some were seen by mutual friends. 'She would call him 'D' in texts and it became an open secret among their circles. 'There is no suggestion anything sexual happened, but it's fair to say there was a spark between them.' Our source said the pair met at London's The Hoxton hotel in March 2023 — a year after Christine called time with Paddy, 51. They also partied together at a restaurant called Habbibi in Leeds. Dan moved out of the family home briefly earlier this year as their marriage hit the rocks once again. But they jetted off on a make or break holiday and looked to be patching things up. Their relationship has suffered countless cheating allegations over the years. In 2019, Dan confessed publicly to having made 'mistakes'. He said: 'I've done things I shouldn't have done.' And Jac said she had "given him hell" over the allegations.

Emmerdale star confirms fan favourite's return after months off-screen
The young character will be bringing his troubled past with him Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A FAN favourite on Emmerdale is making a long-anticipated return. Dylan Penders, played by Fred Kettle, will be returning to ITV screens soon after months off the show. Despite caring for April and becoming good friends, her dad Marlon Dingle, was not a fan on Dylan and resorted to planting drugs on Dylan in a desperate bid to force him out of April's life. But his plan backfired dramatically when Dylan ended up overdosing and left to attend rehab. Emmerdale producers revealed earlier this month that Dylan would be returning to the village, but Amelia, who plays April on the soap gave a hint when exactly fans can expect to see him again. "April has had an incredibly tough year with what she has been through, with the pregnancy and the homelessness storyline," she told Mirror Online. "April and Dylan didn't leave things on the best terms, but I think what is important now is that he's back." Amelia added: "Who knows what will happen. It will be great to explore that relationship further, I think fans want to see that which is great." It's been a big week for Amelia who took out the gong for Best Young Performer at Thursday's British Soap Awards. She managed to win the prize ahead of her brother William Flanagan, who was nominated for playing Joseph Brown on Coronation Street. Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw confirmed Dylan's return earlier this month. Emmerdale's Marlon visits Dylan in hospital after he takes an overdose "Lovely Fred Kettle, who plays Dylan, is coming back to the show," she told media. "He's going to be bringing his past back to the village with him. And that's going to cause huge problems for April and the wider family there." Laura added: "We've got a couple of exciting new castings that are joining us for that story, but I'm not allowed to tell you who they are. Watch this space, because it's very exciting." 5 Amelia Flanagan confirmed the news at the British Soap awards Credit: Getty
