Christopher Schwarzenegger has finally spoken out about his dramatic weight loss.
The 27-year-old son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver appeared at the Inaugural Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit in Los Angeles (via People) on May 10, where he spoke with Kelly Osbourne and event host Jeff Beacher about finally shedding his excess weight after nearly a decade of effort.
"It was a big process," Schwarzenegger admitted. "I started in 2019 when I was living in Australia. I was on this big trip. I made it a big [deal] like, 'Oh, I'm going to go out and do all this stuff, be in Australia,' and I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities. I was like, 'I want to go skydiving.' And my friends were like, 'Yeah, no shot.' I was like, 'Yeah, I can't skydive.''Schwarzenegger's battle to shed weight began during his teen years, but it took several attempts to find a successful diet. "I tried everything. I was doing meal delivery things in high school, and I remember feeling like a weirdo when I was bringing weird lunches to school," he recalled.
But even though he's slimmer than ever before, Schwarzenegger still feels his body is a work in progress. "It's not an overnight thing, but it took a lot of trial and error,' he explained. 'And even still to this day…when you're saying, oh, before and after photos…I don't feel like I'm an after yet. I don't feel like I'm at the point."Luckily, he's found a bit of a shortcut to his fitness goals. Schwarzenegger said that he gave up eating one food item this year, which resulted in him shedding a whopping 30 pounds in under two months. "Weirdly enough, I gave up bread for Lent,' he admitted. 'I was like, 'Well, if I'm giving up bread, I might as well just take the opportunity and I'm a good Catholic boy, so I'm not going to break it.' And that was my one rule. I was like, 'I'm not going to break Lent.' And so I lost 30 pounds just through that."

Split Verdict in Harvey Weinstein Sex Crimes Trial — as Jury Deliberates Final Charge

A New York City jury found Harvey Weinstein guilty on one count of criminal sexual act and not guilty on a second. Three women testified against the disgraced movie mogul Weinstein has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty of one charge of criminal sexual act and not guilty of a second charge, PEOPLE confirms. The jury is still deliberating on the third-degree rape charge involving actress Jessica Mann. Former TV production assistant Miriam Haley, 48, testified that Weinstein, 73, forced oral sex on her at his SoHo apartment in July 2006. Former model Kaja Sokola, 39, also testified that Weinstein forcibly performed oral sex on her in 2006, when she was just 19 years old. Actress Jessica Mann, meanwhile, testified that the former Miramax chief raped her in a New York hotel room in 2013. Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage? Weinstein has been accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of women, and the initial allegations against him in 2017 sparked the global #MeToo movement. He has denied all wrongdoing. In February 2020, Weinstein was convicted on state charges of first-degree criminal sexual act and third-degree rape in New York, and was sentenced to 23 years in prison. However, in April 2024, the New York Court of Appeals overturned his conviction, finding that the trial judge erroneously allowed three women whose allegations were not a part of the criminal case against Weinstein to testify about his alleged 'prior bad acts.' In 2022, Weinstein was convicted of rape and sexual assault in California, a conviction that still stands. Weinstein did not take the stand in his defense at the retrial. In a rare interview Friday with Fox 5's "Good Day New York," Weinstein said he took the advice from his lawyer to stay silent in court, lest the District Attorney "try to rip me apart." He also claimed to have "regrets" about how he "acted immorally," and over what his family had been put through. However, he claimed none of his actions were illegal. NPR reported that Weinstein has recently received treatment for bone marrow cancer. PEOPLE reported in 2024 that he had emergency heart surgery at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. Emily Blunt Says Her 2 Daughters Would 'Quite Like' to Visit 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' Set: 'Just for the Fashion'

Emily Blunt's girls are just as excited about The Devil Wears Prada sequel as the rest of us. The actress, 42, spoke with Entertainment Tonight at the American Institute for Stuttering's 19th Annual Gala and was asked about the upcoming sequel to the iconic movie. Blunt, who was careful not to reveal too much, did say that her daughters Hazel, 11, and Violet, 9, are excited to visit her on set. "I think they would quite like to go to set. Just for the fashion,' Blunt says of her girls, whom she shares with husband John Krasinski. 'I know, they're like Mary Schmoppins, this is like Devil Wears Prada. They're all about it," she jokes. Back in September, Blunt told Page Six that her daughters found her performance as Emily Charlton in the 2006 film less than savory. 'They thought I was the meanest person they've ever met,' Blunt said of their reaction to Charlton, a high-strung assistant at fictional fashion magazine Runway. But others appreciated the character far more, as she told the outlet that her lines from the film are still 'quoted to me every week.' 'It's incredible that it has such an indelible fingerprint on people,' she said. While chatting with PEOPLE in 2023, Blunt revealed that despite its family-friendly nature, her 2021 film Jungle Cruise was a distressing watch for her little ones. 'They've only seen Jungle Cruise once,' the Oppenheimer actress said. 'They didn't like the underwater stuff where I'm trapped and I'm in peril.' Upon seeing their mom in danger, the actress recalled, both Hazel and Violet 'started crying' and 'left the room.' In general, she explained, 'They don't love watching me on-screen, which I understand because I'm their mommy and it's very strange to see me play someone else.' Read the original article on People
