Football's teen wonderboy Lamine Yamal, 17, takes a luxury holiday with flight attendant 13 years his senior, as Barcelona forward releases statement

Daily Mail4 hours ago

Barcelona teenage wonderkid Lamine Yamal has been spotted on holiday with a flight attendant 13 years his senior.
Yamal, 17, is currently having some well-earned downtime after his Spain side were beaten on penalties by Portugal in the Nations League final earlier this month.
And he has chosen to spend his time with Spanish flight attendant and social media influencer Fati Vazquez, who is 30 years old.
Yamal and Vazquez have posted photos from the same location in Italy in recent days, with the pair enjoying a life of luxury that has included going on a boat trip, relaxing by a pool and flying in a helicopter, leading to speculation that they may have started a relationship.
However, Yamal has denied that they are a couple after speaking with gossip expert Javi de Hoyos.
De Hoyos claims 'he's been able to speak to Lamine Yamal, and he categorically denies that he's with her; he says they have nothing going on.'
De Hoyos added: 'Lamine didn't go to this vacation spot alone, but with other Barça teammates.'
Having revealed that Yamal is not in a relationship with Vazquez, De Hoyos suggested that the influencer could instead be interested in another Barcelona player.
'Probably, Fati does have something going on with someone at Barca or is a friend of another teammate,' he said.
There has been plenty of online reaction to Yamal and Vazquez holidaying together in light of their significant age gap.
Vazquez has now responded to the abuse she has received, while choosing not to address the rumours that she is dating Yamal.
'It's sad to see how some people carry so much darkness inside that they get to wish death on someone they don't even know,' she posted on Instagram.
'What others project speaks more about them than me. I choose to live with purpose, continue to grow and surround myself with light. To those who wish me evil, I wish them healing, because no one who is well with himself wishes to destroy another.'
Vazquez started her career as a flight attendant but has since moved on from being a crew member to focus on social media.
She has over one million followers across YouTube and Instagram, where she regularly posts about her fitness regime and healthy eating.
Vazquez has also written a book about the bullying she experienced during her teenage years.
Yamal went public with his TikTok star girlfriend Alex Padilla after winning Euro 2024, but they split shortly afterwards after a video of her sitting on another boy's lap went viral
Meanwhile, Yamal appears to still be single for now. He went public with his TikTok influencer girlfriend Alex Padilla last July after she cheered him on to Euros glory in Germany.
However, he unfollowed Padilla later that month after a video of her sitting on another boy's lap went viral on social media.
Yamal was then spotted with another TikTok star, Anna Gegnoso, in December as they went shopping together in Barcelona amid reports they had started dating.
But it is understood that they are not in a relationship currently.
Yamal posted a photo of himself at the airport ahead of a planned trip to Brazil on Monday, where he is expected to meet one of his childhood heroes, Neymar, after previously mentioning his intention to do so in multiple interviews.

Darling a 'very talented player'

Ex-Norwich City midfielder Mark Fotheringham says he is "excited" by new centre-back signing Harry 25-year-old penned a three-year deal at Carrow Road after his contract with Swansea City worked with Darling during a brief spell as first-team coach with the Swans at the end of last season."I'm quite torn because Swansea is a really special club and I really enjoyed my time there," Fotheringham told The Scrimmage podcast on BBC Radio Norfolk."But I'm also happy my old club Norwich have signed a fantastic player."Fotheringham said Darling is a "very talented centre-back" with a high level of experience of playing Championship football."He's very dominant in the air, which you would expect from his presence and his height [6ft 2in], which makes him really dangerous in both boxes," Fotheringham said."But his special weapon for me is his ability to play with the ball. He steps into midfield areas and finds great solutions to break lines."He's got really good diagonal passing - fantastic range."Fotheringham added: "He's very much a gentleman, he's got time for people, he's very well respected around the group."But he also has a real edge to him. When there are any duels or 50-50s to be won, he's very much on the front foot and a very aggressive defender, which you need." Listen to Mark Fotheringham's full interview on BBC Sounds.

David Coote hit with two FA charges for Jurgen Klopp rant as shamed referee is accused of aggravated breach of rules

DAVID COOTE has been hit with two FA charges for his rant about Jurgen Klopp. The shamed referee has been accused of an aggravated breach of FA rules following an infamous video showing him hitting out at the ex-Liverpool manager. 1 In the viral video, he referred to Liverpool as "s***" and extraordinarily dropped the C-bomb to describe ex-Reds boss Klopp. Coote said: "Liverpool were s*** . Klopp is an absolute c***. "Aside from having a right pop at me when I was refereeing them against Burnley in lockdown, he accused me of lying and then had a right f***ing pop of me. "I have no interest in speaking to someone who is f***ing arrogant. So I do my best not to speak to him. James Milner is all right, I get on with him. "You can see me there with a 'mask' on. But, my god, German c***, f*** me." THIS IS A DEVELOPING STORY..
