Cowell bluntly critiqued: "Maybe I was just in a really good mood on the auditions.
"I'm surprised we started the live shows with an act who are really, really not gonna win the show."
Berating the band, he later told presenters Ant and Dec: "I know this sounds stupid... it was like dinosaurs doing karaoke, which I know that's what it was, but it was just very... weak."
