With its thumping success against Pakistan in the recent 4-day conflict following Operation Sindoor, the Indian Air Force is now looking to arm itself with Israel's stealthy air-launched cruise missile 'Ice Breaker'. According to reports, the IAF is evaluating the purchase and induction of the Ice Breaker in its fleet. Notably, the IAF used BrahMos missiles among others during Operation Sindoor against Pakistan, Ice Breaker will be another feather in the Air Force's cap. When it comes to Ice Breaker, it's definitely a class apart for long-range precision strikes. If inducted, Ice Breaker will surely give chills to China and Pakistan. https://zeenews.india.com/photos/world/meet-ice-breaker-israels-stealth-missile-that-could-arm-india-against-china-pakistan-2910108 Updated:Jun 02, 2025, 04:54 PM IST Long-Range, Smart Strike
1 / 7
So, what exactly is the Ice Breaker? Imagine a super-smart, long-range missile that knows how to find its target with incredible accuracy, even in really tough conditions. It's built to deliver a punch against a whole range of high-value targets, whether they're on land or at sea, and it does so with surprising autonomy. It's essentially a precision-guided weapon that can operate on its own, even if GPS signals are jammed. Brains & Vision
2 / 7
One of the coolest things about the Ice Breaker is its brain. It uses an incredibly advanced electro-optical seeker that can "see" in all weather conditions, almost like it has its own pair of super-sharp eyes. Plus, it's loaded with artificial intelligence that helps it recognize targets and ensures it only engages hostile ones, keeping collateral damage to a minimum. Ghost Mode: Staying Stealthy
3 / 7
Imagine a weapon that can just slip past even the most sophisticated air defenses without being seen. That's the Ice Breaker for you! It flies incredibly low, hugging the terrain or skimming the waves, and its design makes it very hard to detect. This 'Very Low Observable' (VLO) capability gives it a significant edge in getting to its target unnoticed. Ready For Anything
4 / 7
This isn't a one-trick pony. The Ice Breaker is remarkably compact and lightweight – under 400 kg! This means it can be launched from almost anything: jet fighters, light attack aircraft, helicopters, even small maritime vessels and ground vehicles. It truly offers a multi-service capability, making it incredibly adaptable to various operational needs. Surgical Strikes
5 / 7
The Ice Breaker is all about smart engagement. It can work in a synchronized attack with multiple missiles, enhancing its ability to penetrate well-defended targets. And with its precise targeting and effective warhead, it ensures the desired damage is delivered, whether it's neutralization or destruction while reducing risk to uninvolved civilians nearby. Human-in-the-Loop
6 / 7
While the Ice Breaker is designed to be highly autonomous, it still keeps humans in the loop. This means that while it can operate independently, there's always an option for human decision-makers to intervene, provide backup, and assess the outcome, ensuring responsible and effective operations. It's the best of both worlds: smart automation with human oversight. Hard To Intercept
7 / 7
For those who love the nitty-gritty details, the Ice Breaker packs a serious punch in a relatively small package. It's about 4 meters long, weighs less than 400 kg, and can hit targets up to 300 km away at high subsonic speeds, carrying a 250 lb warhead. It truly is a testament to modern engineering, blending power, intelligence, and range into one formidable system.

"Pak Generals want conflict, terrorists are their tools": Ravi Shankar Prasad in Berlin
Berlin [Germany], June 7 (ANI): BJP MP and leader of the all-party delegation Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday sharply criticised Pakistan's military establishment, asserting that its Generals orchestrate conflicts to remain relevant, using terrorists as tools to destabilise India. During a community event with the Indian diaspora in Berlin, Prasad highlighted India's remarkable progress in IT, space, and digital transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, contrasting it with Pakistan's repeated failures in wars while referring to the repeated incidents of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and the military's dominant role in the country's politics. 'India and Pakistan were born the same day. Where are we in India, and where are they (Pakistan)? India has become a major global IT power in the world. India has become an emerging space power in the world. The startup movements here are now globally recognised. India has also become the second biggest mobile phone manufacturer in the world. We have brought digital transformation with equity and justice,' Prasad said. 'What Pakistan is doing is creating terror machines. How to create world-class terrorists under their (military) Generals. They attacked us four times and lost every time. We never attacked; they were the ones who always started the war. It is because they are under the control of Generals and not political leaders. Generals want conflict to keep themselves relevant, and terrorists are the instruments through which they execute. Wherever there is a terrorist, either he is a Pakistani or trained in Pakistan,' he added. He emphasised India's economic achievements, including a 51 per cent share of global digital payments and its status as the second-largest mobile manufacturer, attributing this to PM Modi's 2014 vision of 'IT+IT=IT' (Information Technology + India's Talent = India Tomorrow). 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi used to say in 2014 that if he became the PM, he would make an India where IT+IT=IT, which means Information Technology + India's Talent = India Tomorrow. Digital payment in India is at 51 per cent of the world,' the BJP MP stated. Prasad also spoke about the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and India's decisive response through Operation Sindoor on May 7, noting that Operation Sindoor remains paused but ready to resume based on Pakistan's actions. 'Pahalgam attack happened on April 22. We attacked on May 7 and hit the terrorist camps. If Pakistan has to talk, it must directly speak to us. Our message was stern and straight: If you stop, we stop. If you fire, we will give a stronger reply. Operation Sindoor is on pause, subject to the good behaviour of Pakistan. It has not ended,' he stated. The delegation, led by Ravi Shankar Prasad, includes BJP MPs Daggubati Purandeswari and Samik Bhattacharya, Congress MP Amar Singh and Gulam Ali Khatana, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, AIADMK MP M Thambidurai, former Union Minister MJ Akbar and former diplomat Pankaj Saran. The delegation arrived in Germany after concluding their visit to Belgium to convey India's resolute and united stand against terrorism. (ANI)

India receives request from China's staunch enemy for D4 anti-drone system, not US, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, it is...
New Delhi: Taiwan has officially asked India for the weapons with which India had destroyed Pakistani drones during Operation Sindoor. Taiwan has sent a request to buy the D4 anti-drone system developed by India's DRDO and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). China is bound to get angry at this request of Taiwan because China does not want any country to help Taiwan. But the way China is giving defense packages and modern weapon systems to Pakistan, experts say that India should also hand over similar weapons to Taiwan. The D4 anti-drone system has been developed by India's DRDO and manufactured by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). The power of the D4 anti-drone system was seen during Operation Sindoor, when Pakistan attacked India with about 300 to 400 drones made by Turkey and China. During this time, India shot down all the drones in the air itself. India also shot down Turkey's Bayraktar TB-2 drone. This revealed the strength of India's advanced soft kill jamming and hard kill laser capability which stunned the world. D4, i.e. Detect, Deter, Destroy, Defend, is an integrated anti-drone system developed jointly by India's DRDO and BEL (Bharat Electronics Limited). This system works at 4 levels. Detect: Accurately detects the presence of drones with multi-frequency radar and EO/IR sensor. Deter: It can deviate enemy drones from the mission through signal jamming and GPS spoofing. Destroy: Drones armed with laser-based hard-kill technology and RF jammers in the system can be destroyed in the air itself. Defend: Ensures the protection of sensitive areas from any remaining drone or swarm attack. China considers Taiwan as its part and has clearly stated that it does not mind using force to merge Taiwan with China. In the last few years, China has increased its military exercises and drone surveillance in the Taiwan Strait. Since 2024, the PLA has doubled the number of surveillance and attack drones near the Taiwan border. In such a situation, there is a great need for a first-rate anti-drone system for Taiwan.
