How to watch: WA Bush Summit brings together state's political and business leaders
The forum is the first in News Australia's National Bush Summit series, which will focus on bridging the urban-rural divide and tackling the problems holding back country areas.
The WA Bush Summit will be broadcast live on Sky News Extra and for subscribers at SkyNews.com.au.
The summit will examine the impact of policymaking on regional Australia and explore solutions to reduce burdens facing rural households and businesses.
This will include discussion on energy policy, red and green tape, the cost of living, healthcare, housing, infrastructure, taxation, trade, and education.
Attendees will include WA Deputy Premier Rita Saffioti, Minister for Agriculture and Food, Fisheries, Forestry, and Small Business Jackie Jarvis, Tony Seabrook from the Pastoralists and Graziers Association of WA, North West Tourism CEO Bill Tatchell, Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility Director Vanessa Elliot, Pearls of Australia managing director James Brown, and Hancock Prospecting Executive Chairman Gina Rinehart.
When announcing the National Bush Summit series, News Corp Australia Executive Chairman Michael Miller said it would be a "catalyst for action and has delivered tangible solutions to the unique challenges faced by the regions of Australia".
"Together with Hancock Prospecting and S Kidman and our partners we are able to amplify rural voices, celebrate bush life, and drive meaningful change," he said.
"This enduring initiative underscores News' unwavering commitment to ensuring regional Australia's stories are heard.'
The 2025 National Bush Summit series includes events across five states and the Northern Territory. Wednesday 20 August – Broome, WA

Wednesday, August 27 – Wagga Wagga, NSW
Friday, August 29– Ballarat, VIC
Monday, September 1 – Darwin, NT
