Warrant issued for man accused of abusing dog outside of restaurant
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A warrant has been issued for a man accused of abusing a dog at a local Dodge's Chicken.
Justin Johnson, 34, is wanted for aggravated animal cruelty, stemming from an incident that occurred on Mar. 27.
Police said that at 11:30 p.m., a man was captured on camera at Dodge's Chicken located on South Third Street striking a dog in the backseat of a vehicle. The video showed the man abusing the dog and the dog crying out in pain. The suspect left the scene with the dog in a white Kia.
The next day, the Memphis Police Department launched an investigation in conjunction with the Memphis Animal Shelter.

On Mar. 29 29, 2025, an investigator was able to determine that the man responsible was Justin Johnson.
The dog, named Brixleigh, was taken to Raines Station and given to the police.
Police said she is safe and receiving treatment for injuries she sustained during the abuse. She is expected to recover.

A resident on Pheasants Run Road reported two people in their driveway attempting to steal their parked vehicle, however they were unsuccessful as the alarm scared them off at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday, police said. The department is warning owners of Kias and Hyundais to be extra careful, as some of the manufacturer's vehicles can be stolen without a key. Police also reminded residents not to leave valuables in the car, purchase security devices and keep alarms active. 5 teens arrested in crash with multiple stolen vehicles
The Brief Five teens, ages 13 to 15, were arrested after fleeing from a stolen vehicle in Montgomery County on Tuesday evening. Police recovered four stolen cars, including a Kia and three Hyundais, at the scene of a crash and subsequent traffic stop. All teens were charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and later released to their guardians. What we know On Tuesday around 7:30 p.m., Montgomey County police responded to the intersection of Heathfield Drive and Parkland Drive after reports of a crash. Officers found three cars, empty and idling. The cars, one Kia and two Hyundais, were determined to be stolen. Police at the scene saw a dark colored Kia speed away with multiple people inside. The Kia stopped at Weller Road, where five teens got out of the car. The Kia was also determined to have been stolen. The five teens – one 13-year-old, three 14-year-olds and a 15-year-old, were taken into custody and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. They were released to their guardians. No citation issued after failure to yield right-of-way causes crash
SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — One person has been taken to the hospital after two vehicles collided on private property near Panda Express in the morning of June 6. According to a San Angelo Police Department officer at the scene, the collision occurred in the 5600 block of Sherwood Way on a private roadway near a Panda Express and a Chick-fil-A. Fundraiser started after 5-vehicle crash 'totaled' family's only car The officer said the crash happened after a Kia 'coming in off of Sherwood Way' attempting to make a left turn 'turned in front of' a Ford Mustang driving toward the nearby H-E-B grocery store. The officer stated that no serious injuries were reported. However, the driver of the Kia was transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure. The officer also said that, although the crash was caused by a failure to yield right-of-way, no citation will be issued as the incident occurred on private property rather than a public roadway.
