Ranking the Cincinnati Bengals' all-time greatest schedule release videos (2019-2024)
It's the Super Bowl of subtle jabs and viral memes: NFL schedules release Wednesday.
In what has become a league-wide tradition to reveal the 17-game slate, the Cincinnati Bengals will likely premiere their 2025 schedule release video via social media Wednesday night.

To all NFL social media staff out there, we see you and we respect you. With that being said, we ranked the Bengals' schedule release videos from the past six seasons (2019-2024), with No. 1 being the best video.
Here's where the Bengals' schedule releases stand. (We will update this ranking later once the 2025 video drops).
No. 1: Pee-wee football-themed release, 2024
Coming in at No. 1 is the Bengals' 2024 schedule release video, which featured a cast of pee-wee football players in an intense game against numerous Bengals mascots.
Plenty of kid-friendly special effects made their way into the mascot football game, including a tackle made with an electric guitar and a couple of plays cut short thanks to the use of a magic portal and a lasso. Throughout the video, NFL fans might've spotted a couple semi-subtle jabs at opposing teams (did you see the Kermit the Frog cameo right ahead of the baby Bengals' Week 2 standoff against the Chiefs?).
No. 2: Technology-centered video (ft. Mayor Aftab Pureval), 2023
The Bengals' media team used the world wide web angle to its advantage for the 2023 schedule release, with the help of Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval.

Pureval took jabs at the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of their 2023 AFC championship game against the Bengals. In a video posted to social media, Pureval referred to Arrowhead Stadium as "Burrhowhead Stadium." After the Chiefs won, tight end and former UC player Travis Kelce responded by called the mayor a "jabroni."
In the release video, a notification popped up, alerting that Pureval had tweeted. The video went on to, of course, have the mayor announce when the Bengals would face the Chiefs, noting that he had "nothing else to add."
Bengals' offensive tackle, Orlando Brown Jr., who played for the Chiefs during the 2023 AFC championship matchup, recorded Pureval and said, "I think that was better than the last time."
The video also featured multiple other cameos, include appearances from comedian Gary Owen, TV host Kay Adams and former Bengals wide receivers A.J. Green and Trenton Irwin.
No. 3: Leaning into Burrow's cigar-smoking image, 2020
In a now-deleted tweet, the Bengals revealed their 2020 schedule by kicking things off with a "Rick Roll like it's 2011 again," CBS Sports previously reported.

The team leaned hard on the image of its No. 1 overall pick, quarterback Joe Burrow, by centering the video around the iconic image of the QB smoking a cigar after winning the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship with LSU and current teammate Ja'Marr Chase.
According to CBS Sports, the schedule was revealed "through individual cigars getting labeled with the corresponding opponents of each week, including one that just says, 'Bye.'"
No. 4: 'The Legends Pack,' 2021
The Bengals used their legendary players and game moments to announce their 2021 schedule with a playful spin on football cards: "The Legends Pack." The 1980s-style video started with a static TV screen turning on. Each week was accompanied by a prominent former Bengals player and their legendary in-game moment.

Wide receiver Chad Johnson kicked off the video, followed by Jim Breech, Tim Krumrie, Willie Anderson, Bob Trumpy, Isaac Curtis, Boomer Esiason, David Fulcher, Lemar Parrish, Ken Riley, James Brooks, Ken Anderson, Reggie Williams, Corey Dillon, Dave Lapham and, lastly, Cris Collinsworth.
No. 5: Who Dey zooms on a scooter, 2019
Who doesn't love a good mascot video? For the Bengals' 2019 schedule debut, the team had its favorite Bengal, Who Dey, "zoom" through downtown Cincinnati, the Bengals' stadium and the team's weight room on a Razor scooter to announce the schedule.
The video was simple, but it got the job done.
No. 6: Relying on Photoshop and bad animation, 2022
In another now-deleted post, the Bengals combined over 100 stock photos and bad animation to reveal their 2022 schedule, which the team dubbed "the biggest Bengals season ever."

"What happens when you combine 100+ stock photos, bad animation, and the biggest Bengals season ever? The 2022 Schedule Release!" the Bengals wrote in the deleted post.
The Bengals' 2022 schedule release was among CBS Sports' "six best social media reveals" for its creative use of Photoshop.

It's Chiefs vs. Bills In Top-Ranked Rivalry Game In 2025
It's Chiefs vs. Bills In Top-Ranked Rivalry Game In 2025 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Kansas City Chiefs have been at the top of the NFL for the past couple of seasons, winning two of the last three Super Bowls and regularly beating some of the best teams in football. Advertisement After their exploits last season, the Chiefs again made it to the Super Bowl for a third consecutive year, and again, they slayed the Buffalo Bills, this time in the AFC Championship game, to get there. The Chiefs/Bills, Patrick Mahomes/Josh Allen rivalry is now perhaps the modern-day Tom Brady/Peyton Manning, with both usually playing each other in the postseason. And in 2025, the Chiefs are again facing off against the Bills - on November 2 at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park - in what Kevin Patra has as his No. 1-ranked game of the year. "Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes make for appointment viewing on their own -- when they are on the same gridiron, it's a must-watch live situation," Patra writes. "Buffalo and Kansas City have faced off nine times since 2020, and while the Bills have won four straight regular-season clashes, they have yet to get over the postseason hump against Mahomes and Co. The influence this matchup tends to have on playoff seeding adds extra importance to the high-powered showdown between two otherworldly quarterbacks." Kansas City Chiefs guard Trey Smith (65) blocks Buffalo Bills defensive end Greg Rousseau (50) in pursuit of quarterback Patrick Mahomes (15). Mark Konezny-Imagn Images In what is a rather odd scenario, the Chiefs have beaten the Bills the last four times in the postseason, but the Bills have beaten the Chiefs in their last four regular-season meetings. Advertisement Odd, indeed. With the Chiefs' shine being taken off after the Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Bills seemingly in perhaps their best position to strike in the AFC, this game could decide the playoff seeding, which, as we know, is of the utmost importance. It will be Mahomes vs. Allen again, with bragging rights on the line. Grab your popcorn, folks. Chiefs' 'Locked In' Patrick Mahomes Channeling Super Bowl Loss As Motivation
Chiefs' 'Locked In' Patrick Mahomes Channeling Super Bowl Loss As Motivation originally appeared on Athlon Sports. There are a lot of things that can put you on your backside in professional sports, and for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, a 40-22 Super Bowl loss will do it. Advertisement With the three-peat dream now dead, and such was how the Chiefs and Mahomes were disarmed and dismantled, it has been back to the drawing board of sorts, according to coordinator Matt Nagy. However, Mahomes isn't a stranger to losing big games, having lost two Super Bowls now. For Nagy, Patrick was on point as soon as the offseason workouts began, as he sought ideas on how to improve. 'He came in here after the Super Bowl, the first day we had him and he was so locked in and it wasn't this angry pissed off at the world like got to get back at people revenge thing that's not what it was,' Nagy said. 'It's just a calm, professional want to get better and use it in the right way, and it's a strong positivity in that room right now it's been great.' Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes© Denny Medley-Imagn Images Many are jumping off the Chiefs bandwagon in 2025, with the Super Bowl loss a key reason why, but we aren't there just yet. Advertisement A returning Rashee Rice, Marquise "Hollywood" Brown for a full season, the improvement (they hope) in the offensive line along with Travis Kelce, the offense under Mahomes does have room to grow. After all, last season was seen as perhaps one of the worst offenses Mahomes had led, and they still won 15 regular-season games and the AFC. So this offseason is all about finding ways to get better, and the Super Bowl loss might have accelerated that process for Mahomes and the Chiefs. Chiefs Coach Offers Good News Update On Patrick Mahomes' Receiver Duo
Chiefs Coach Offers Good News Update On Patrick Mahomes' Receiver Duo originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy is keeping a close eye on OTAs as the majority of the roster goes through its paces. Advertisement At this time of year, it is more about getting the scheme and plays down pat so when training camp rolls around, everyone is all gas, no brakes. However, it is also the time of year when rehabbing players are closely monitored, such as Rashee Rice. After a significant knee injury that ended his 2024 season after just four games, it has been a slow grind for Rice to get back on the field to the point where he's productive. And for Nagy, Rice, along with fellow receiver Xavier Worthy, is in a good spot as OTAs continue. "He's come back strong," Nagy said of Rice. "He's been working hard to get to this point. It reminds me of last year, where he was going into the second year, when these guys start learn, even with Xavier [Worthy] right now, you can tell he knows where he's going. Those guys are looking sharp." © Denny Medley-Imagn Images Having Rice back will be a big boost for Patrick Mahomes and the offense, who struggled at times last season without a consistent outlet. Advertisement Yes, Rice will be brought back up to speed slowly. As for Worthy, the second half of his rookie season was superb, culminating in a 157-yard, two-touchdown game in the Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. So both appear to be on the right track as training camp approaches, and the duo looms large as the key pieces in Nagy's offense with the Chiefs aiming to bounce back from the horror ending to last season. It is early in the offseason, we understand that, but having Rice moving well, and Worthy already showing improvement from his rookie season, things feel like they are moving along rather nicely for the defending AFC champs.
