The 2025 Logie nominations have been revealed
The full list of nominees for the 65th TV Week Logie Awards has been revealed, and an exciting new category has been announced.
Among those vying for the night's top accolade, the coveted Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television, are Home and Away star Lynne McGranger and television host Sonia Kruger, known for fronting The Voice and Dancing with the Stars.
Julia Morris and Hamish Blake have also been nominated for the title alongside some other first-time nominees, including Ally Langdon, Lisa Millar, and Poh Ling Yeow.
'Looking at the list of nominations, it's always thrilling to see the diverse range of Australian stories being told on our screens,' TV Week's Editorial Director Amber Giles said.
'It's especially pleasing to see the breadth of original Australian content on both free-to-air and streaming services. If you see a show or star on the list that you've watched and enjoyed, then don't be shy – get voting.'
The nominees for the 65th TV WEEK Logie Awards were revealed on Monday morning at the Sydney Opera House ahead of the awards ceremony that will be held at The Star in Sydney on August 3.
McGranger, who concluded her nearly 33-year run as Irene on Home and Away earlier in 2025, is the only Gold Logie nominee who will not be attending the event, as she is currently overseas.
The Logies has also introduced the Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Reporter, which will sit alongside the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent and the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter. Isla Fisher has shared a very telling photo on social media just days after she finalised her divorce from actor Sacha Baron Cohen. The Australian actress, 49, took to Instagram on Monday to share a sultry snap of three tanned and shirtless firefighters holding puppies. The sculpted men wore nothing but a pair of yellow firefighter pants and boots. They held the pups up to their shoulders, showing off their chiseled abs and arms. 'Look at those cute puppies,' Fisher cheekily wrote. The Confessions of a Shopaholic actress' telling post could suggest she has begun to cast her eye around and is ready to find love again. It comes after she and Baron Cohen, who won a Golden Globe Award for starring in Borat, announced they had finalised their £120 million (AU$251 million) divorce in a joint statement released via social media on Friday. 'We are proud of all we have achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children,' the statement read. 'We ask for the media to continue to respect our children's privacy.' Amid their divorce, Fisher and Baron Cohen, 53, co-parent their three children, Olive, 18, Elula, 15, and Montgomery, 10, while living in the UK. The actress shared a Father's Day tribute to her ex-husband on social media on Tuesday, showing that the pair remain very much friends. 'Happy Father's Day to the best father our children could hope for," she wrote over a photo of the Borat star lovingly holding one of their children. Despite the rosy picture, the Australian actress previously opened up about the challenges of co-parenting after the couple separated. 'It's the most difficult thing that I've been through, and I've learnt so much about myself in the process,' Fisher told The Sunday Times in February. 'I never imagined my family being separated, but we are committed and loving parents.' Fisher and Baron Cohen first met at a party in Sydney in 2001, and they tied the knot in Paris in 2010 after Fisher converted to Judaism. The pair announced their separation in April last year, sharing a joint statement on social media. "After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down," they wrote alongside a photo of themselves in tennis whites. They went public with their split just days after Australian actress Rebel Wilson accused Baron Cohen of sexually harassing her during the filming of Grimsby in 2016, in which Fisher also had a role. A spokesperson for Baron Cohen denied the claims in Wilson's autobiography Rebel Rising, calling them "demonstrably false" and "defamatory". Fisher's career in the spotlight remains unwavering despite her personal life. In February, she led the voice cast on the animated film Dog Man and appeared in a cameo role in the new Bridget Jones sequel. She has also recently consolidated her property portfolio after selling off an apartment in Sydney's ritzy Woollahra. It is understood the former Home and Away actress no longer owns property in the country after the sale in Woollahra.

Recipe below: Chorizo, Potato & Tomato Baked Eggs Ingredients: 1 small brown onion, finely chopped 1 clove garlic, minced ½ Tbsp smoked paprika 1 tsp ground cumin 1 chorizo sausage, sliced 2 small starchy potatoes, peeled and cubed 200g crushed tomatoes 4 eggs 100g mozzarella, torn or grated Fresh parsley and coriander, chopped (for garnish) Salt, to season Olive oil, as needed Sourdough bread, to serve Instructions: In a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil. Cook the onion until soft and translucent, about 3–4 minutes. Add the garlic, smoked paprika, and cumin. Stir for 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from the pan and set aside. In the same skillet, add the sliced chorizo. Fry until browned and the fat is rendered—about 4–5 minutes. Remove the chorizo and set aside, leaving the fat in the pan. While the chorizo is cooking, season the cubed potatoes lightly with salt in a bowl. After removing the chorizo, add the potatoes to the hot fat and fry until golden and crispy on all sides, about 10–12 minutes. Remove and set aside on a paper towel. Return the cooked onion mixture and chorizo to the pan. Add the crushed tomatoes and simmer for 5–7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Return the fried potatoes to the pan and fold through. Make small wells in the sauce and crack in the eggs. Sprinkle mozzarella over the top. Cover with a lid or foil and cook on low heat (or transfer to an oven at 180°C/350°F) until the eggs are just set—about 7–10 minutes. Top with chopped parsley and coriander. Serve hot with toasted sourdough.

How a racehorse owner fired off a boozy message, and was proven wrong in front of the King
Prominent racehorse owner Rod Lyons has scaled some of the great heights of racing, including winning The Everest with boom sprinter Nature Strip, but there is one regretful moment he would love to take back. At the end of a boozy Friday afternoon in the middle of June last year, Lyons fired off a 'tongue-in-cheek' message to trainer Henry Dwyer and the owners of Asfoora, saying they were 'wasting their time' taking their mare to Royal Ascot. He went further than that. He said the horse was a 'second-rater' who would not only waste their money but embarrass great Australian sprinters who had won at Royal Ascot in the past. With the benefit of hindsight, Lyons now admits he was made to look a 'fool'. Loading Days after he sent his note, Asfoora became the sixth Australian sprinter to win the King Charles Stakes. The ecstatic scenes after she thundered down the iconic 1000-metre straight, under the urgent riding of Oisin Murphy, were celebrated across the country. Ballarat trainer Dwyer, who gave up accountancy to run a stable of horses, was ushered into the royal enclosure, resplendent in top hat and tails, and shook hands with King Charles. The only one feeling uncomfortable in that moment was Lyons.
