Cadbury Twirl White Dipped compared to noughties Flake Snow

Cadbury Twirl White Dipped compared to noughties Flake Snow

Powys County Times12 hours ago

A limited-edition Cadbury chocolate bar has led shoppers on a hunt to find them after being compared to a discontinued treat from more than 15 years ago.
The new Twirl White Dipped went on sale earlier this month, and shoppers have been looking everywhere to find it in the UK.
Morrisons, Co-op, Home Bargains and B&M are selling the popular bar – but only in select shops for a limited time.
When shoppers did get their hands on it, they were quick to take to social media to praise its taste and similarities to a discontinued favourite from the late noughties.
Is a Twirl just a Flake dipped in chocolate?
Long has been the debate that Twirls are similar to Cadbury's famous Flake chocolate bar – but now the comparison has heightened for a different reason.
The Twirl White Dipped was being compared to Cadbury's Flake Snow even before it hit the shelves.
Cadbury's Flake Snow chocolate bar was first launched in the UK back in 2000.
The bar had a crumbly white chocolate flake inside, covered in milk chocolate.
But it only lasted eight years in the UK, with Cadbury revealing in 2008 the chocolate bar had been discontinued.
Cadbury Twirl White Dipped – shoppers react online
Taking to Facebook foodie groups, shoppers were quick to share where they had picked up a Twirl, at what price and if it had similarities with Flake Snow.
'Limited edition Cadbury twirl white 85p spotted at B&M,' one person wrote.
'Does it taste like a Flake Snow? Yes it does,' another said.
One person commented: 'It's like a Flake Snow in reverse!'
Another added: Wow, these are outstanding - closest bar you'll ever get to a Cadbury Snowflake!"
Recommended reading:
'Not bad but definitely not as good as Flake Snow was," another wrote.
Others commented about the chocolate's taste, saying: 'These were amazing!"
'They are divine' and 'Found mine, I love them – so delicious.'

This High Street Shirt Looks Like Loewe – But It's Over £500 Cheaper

Few sartorial wins feel as satisfying as spotting a designer-looking staple on the high street. From M&S's scarf coat (a dead-ringer for Toteme's sell-out style) to Anthropologie's Melie Bianco bag featuring the same woven detailing as the coveted Bottega design, the high street continues to deliver affordable gems that punch well above their price tag. This month, fashion set favourite Zara has taken the spotlight with a chic new shirt that channels Loewe. The shirt in question? Zara's Embroidered Pocket Shirt, featuring detailing that looks strikingly similar to Loewe's cult-favourite Cotton Embroidered Logo Shirt. Crafted from a soft fabric, it combines the sophisticated fit of a shirt with the relaxed fabric of Lyocell - making it a go-to for smart balmy weather dressing, especially now that temperatures are on the rise. Naturally, the most stylish dressers have already taken notice of Zara's shirt, and one quick scroll through Instagram will reveal a laundry list of fashion insiders already wearing the designer-style number. Zara, Embroidered Pocket Shirt This cool shirt is a versatile addition to your summer wardrobe, taking you from work to dinner plans in an instant - just switch up your shoes. Of course, this isn't the first time a high street brand has looked to the Spanish label for inspiration. Last year, the coveted Loewe Squeeze bag - a chain embellished leather staple loved by everyone from Emily Ratajowski to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley - was reimagined by H&M for a fraction of the price. Shortly after, the viral Anagram tank top (worn by the likes of Kylie Jenner) triggered a flurry of affordable lookalikes across the high street, from River Island to 4th And Reckless. When it comes to styling, consider pairing the shirt with the matching Cotton Asymmetric Linen Skirt. Swishy and sculptural in equal measure, it adds movement to the look while keeping things polished - perfect for everything from al fresco dinners to summer office days. Alternatively, if you want to wear the shirt separately, look to the fashion pack for style inspiration - a classic pair of straight leg jeans or wide-leg trousers are all you need. Shop the matching skirt below. 2. Zara, Asymmetric Linen Shirt This linen skirt is the ultimate midi to have in your wardrobe rotation this summer, incredibly stylish and equally as practical for warm weather.
