Woman hospitalised with life-threatening injuries after Donegal crash
The driver of one of the vehicles, a woman aged in her 60s, is being treated for life-threatening injuries at Letterkenny University Hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
The road will remain closed overnight for a technical examination to be conducted by Forensic Collision Investigators.
Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.
Any persons who were on the N13 at Listillion between 4:50pm and 5:15pm and who may have witnessed the incident should contact investigating Gardaí.
Any road users who were travelling in the vicinity at the time, and who may have camera footage including dash cam, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.

'The member stopped for a chat and to warn the man of the dangers and it transpired he had forgotten his Hi Vis. Unfortunately with great speeds and distracted driving, even a Hi Vis might not be enough but it's a good start. 'It is important to point out that this decent individual was not committing any offence but when you've attended fatal collisions, you're just that bit more alarmed.' Gardaí were commended for raising awareness of the safety issue, with one commenting ''Be safe, be seen' isn't just a motto. It's the truth. Too many times I've almost missed someone because of poor choice of clothing for what they were doing, where they're going etc. 'I'm glad I have good eye sight, but not everyone does. Not everyone pays attention constantly. As a cyclist, pedestrian, driver I always aim to be seen. It's a fundamental safety concern I have.' 'Even a white t-shirt if he didn't have anything brighter,' another commented, while another added 'I all ways wear my hi viz when i'm walking, it's common sense.' The fatal "incident involving a vehicle" took place on the busy Old Dublin Road in Nenagh at around 10:10pm last night. Gardai and emergences rushed to the scene outside a premises on the R445 and the driver of the only vehicle involved in the incident was discovered unresponsive. He received medical treatment at the scene, and was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick, where he was later pronounced deceased. The Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged. Gardai preserved the scene for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators last night as a probe commenced. The road has since reopened to all traffic. In statement this morning, gardai issued a plea for anyone with information to come forward. The young driver, who was aged in his late teens and was the only occupant of the car involved in the crash, was sadly pronounced dead in Cork University Hospital this morning, gardai confirmed. Officers are continuing to investigate the crash. An examination of the scene on the L1029 road has already been carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigations. A statement from Garda HQ said: "Gardai are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward. "Any road users who may have dash-cam and were travelling in the area on the 2nd August 2025 between 5.15pm and 5.45pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardai. A man has died following a crash in Co Tipperary on Wednesday night. The man, aged in his 40s died in a single-vehicle crash on the R445 Old Dublin Road, Nenagh, shortly after 10pm.
