Supercross 2025 betting, predictions, odds, picks, lines at Birmingham: Justin Cooper's podium odds improve
Cooper Webb and Chase Sexton remain the favorites at NXTBets.com but Justin Cooper's odds for a podium finish remarkably shifted heading into Round 10 of the Monster Energy Supercross series at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama.
The three favorites showed little or no change in the outright win odds this week in Birmingham compared to last week in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Supercross' official traders continue to value them highly.
Last week's winner in Indy had a raw opening line of +131 ahead of his dominant victory. His movement was minuscule this week to +131 while showing a lowering since he was listed at +140 for Daytona. To generate some excitement for the points leader, Webb's odds of standing on the podium actually shortened from -384 in Indy to -305 in Birmingham. The most significant change for Webb entering Round 10 is his odds to win the championship. Two weeks ago, when he entered Daytona, he was practically even money with a line of -105. After a strong showing of second there, coupled with a weak effort by Chase Sexton, Webb moved to -122 upon entering Indiana and is -273 heading to Alabama.
Webb has a 15-point lead over Sexton in the championship standings.
Sexton remains +180 this week for the overall win in Birmingham, while the only other rider under 5/1, Ken Roczen, remains +400. Roczen won Daytona two rounds ago with a line of +487. Roczen is +104 to stand on the podium this week.
But Roczen may yet provide a relevant bet in one of NXTBets.com's head-to-head matchups. He struggled last week and finished seventh, while Aaron Plessinger earned his second consecutive top-five finish. Roczen is heavily favored in this matchup at -178 to Plessinger's +133, so bettors will wish to pay close attention to how these riders look in practice.
BIRMINGHAM LONGSHOTS
Last week's second-place finisher, Cooper, remains a longshot for the overall victory with a raw opening line of +2319 (more than 23/1). Still, he forced the traders to pay close attention to his podium potential. He paid out at +348 for his Indy effort, so NXTBets.com shaved 63 points off his line for Birmingham (+285).
Plessinger's odds of standing on the podium this week were lowered from +254 to +225, but there is still a little juice to be squeezed from the Cowboy. Plessinger is
Justin Barcia was one of the featured riders last week. He has been strong in Indianapolis and had a line of +462 to stand on the podium. He narrowly missed paying out with a finish of fourth. That got the traders' attention, and Barcia's odds were lowered to +407 for Birmingham. Momentum from last week's strong ride could play a factor this week.
Jason Anderson went the opposite direction and saw his odds move from +240 in Indianapolis to +262 for Birmingham. With three podium finishes and another trio of top-10s in the first nine rounds, Anderson is capable of contending for a spot on the box on any given week, but he has been erratic with two 11th-place results in the last three weekends.

Reid Taylor to make professional debut in High Point Nationals on a 250
Reid Taylor, 21, will make his American professional dirt bike debut in the High Point Nationals this week in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania. Originally scheduled to debut in the 250 East division of the Monster Energy Supercross season, Taylor underwent minor surgery that delayed his start. Instead of heading home to his native Australia after the surgery, Taylor remained in the United States and relocated to the ClubMX Training Facility in Chesterfield, South Carolina, to maximize his recovery. Taylor's Supercross credentials include the 2023 and 2024 Australian Junior Supercross Championships as well as the 2024 Indian Supercross Championship, so it was an easy decision to tag him as Devin Simonson's replacement when that rider was injured late last year. 'I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to race for the team at High Point,' Taylor said in a news release. 'It wasn't in the plans, but it is definitely something that I want to do. Being at ClubMX on a full-time basis has changed the way I go about racing. The intensity, structure and focus are something that has been very beneficial to me. These guys are 'all in' and I want to return the favor by representing them the best way possible.' Taylor's High Point start is the only motocross race on his schedule for now, as Taylor needs to return to Australia to honor his visa requirements. He will return to the US later in the summer. 'Reid has fit right into our program,' said ClubMX team owner Brandon Haas. 'He follows everything we have asked him to do, and the results show it. We had a spot available for High Point and our organization has always been about giving riders a chance, so it only made sense to follow through on the idea. Matt Chapman's first Giants walk-off HR gives S.F. another one-run win
San Francisco's hesitant offense has an unhappy tendency of disappearing during Logan Webb 's starts. Going into Saturday, Webb had by far the lowest run support among the Giants ' starters and that continued all the way through his time on the mound against the Braves. Then came the ninth inning, when the Giants used their other offensive technique, the walkoff win, making it two in a row. With two outs and another great Webb performance looking as if it were for naught, Matt Chapman clocked a two-run homer to propel San Francisco to a 3-2 victory over Atlanta, the team's MLB-high eighth walkoff win of the season. It was Chapman's first walkoff homer for San Francisco – and his first walkoff hit and RBI with the team. Atlanta starter Bryce Elder was just as terrific as Webb on Saturday, striking out a career-high 12 and allowing just three hits in eight innings. It was Elder's first career appearance against San Francisco, only one start removed from a 15-day trip to the minors. But Piece Johnson got the ninth and again was on the wrong side of a walkoff; he had also uncorked the decisive wild pitch in the 10th inning on Friday. Trust Webb to be the guy on the mound when an opposing pitcher put together his best start of the year: He gets just 2.8 runs per 27 outs while being the pitcher of record. The only other Giants with as many or more since 1893 are Madison Bumgarner (12) and Tim Lincecum (five). Juan Marichal had four. Webb struck out nine of the first 14 batters Saturday, including getting Ronald Acuña Jr. and Drake Baldwin swinging with two on in the third. In the fourth, he struck out the side, all looking, something that Braves manager Brian Snitker took exception to until he was tossed by home-plate umpire Gabe Morales. Given the way Webb was working, Wilmer Flores' leadoff homer in the fourth seemed like a major blow, but the Braves love a tight game as much as the Giants do, and Michael Harris II led off the fifth with his second career homer off Webb in just 13 at-bats. Atlanta added a run in the sixth to take the lead, but Webb might have done his best work of the day that inning. Acuna, Baldwin and Austin Riley rapped singles to load the bases with no outs, and Webb got cleanup hitter Matt Olson to pop up before getting a grounder from Marcel Ozuna. Hit even slightly harder, Webb would have emerged unscathed, but Ozuna's tapper was 74 mph and Chapman could only get the runner at second, with Ozuna beating the throw to first as a run scored. Webb finished his day by striking out Harris. The Giants and Braves top the majors with 27 one-run games apiece including each of the first two games against each other this year. Each of San Francisco's past 13 games has been decided by no more than two runs, the longest streak in franchise history, eclipsing a 12-game span from May 30-June 12, 1978. Briefly: Center fielder Jung Hoo Lee got the start off because of some slight back tightness but he could have played had there been a need, manager Bob Melvin said. Lee pinch hit in the eighth and struck out. … Melvin said that Justin Verlander (pectoral strain) feels good after throwing to hutters on Friday but the team hasn't decided when he'll come off the IL. … The club announced that catcher Sam Huff, who'd been designated for assignment Tuesday, cleared waivers and was assigned outright to Triple-A Sacramento, a welcome development for a team that doesn't have a lot of catching. 'As far as the catching position goes, depth can be ominous,' Melvin said, 'We were pulling for Sam to get a major-league job but he's gotten to know our pitching staff and did well with all our starting pitchers.'
