Video shows man throwing teen's mountain bike off bridge on B.C. trail
The video begins with the man bumping into one of the younger cyclists, who were stopped on a narrow wooden bridge in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park.
While he initially apologizes, the agitated man soon begins shoving one of the teens. He then rides off, only to return seconds later and throw one of their bikes off the bridge into a river below.
The man then continues confronting the teenagers with his fists raised, repeatedly accusing them of calling him a 'b****.' At one point, he grabs one of the teenagers and pushes him up against the bridge's rope railings, threatening to throw him and the other bikes into the river as well.
'I'm an a**hole, I'm a b****, but I won't do that because you're young as f***,' the man tells the group, while identifying himself as 48 years old.
The teens then try to de-escalate the situation, apologizing to the man in an attempt to get him to leave. He then warned them about a cougar in the area and walked away.
CTV News has spoken with two of the teenagers involved, who were visiting from the United States and have since returned home. They said they reported the incident to park staff, who recognized the man as a regular user, and that Whistler RCMP officers were called to investigate.
CTV News has blurred the man's face while awaiting further information from law enforcement.
In a statement, Vail Resorts, which owns Whistler Blackcomb, said it is 'aware of the incident' and has been in contact with 'all individuals involved.'
'The safety of our guests is our top priority, and behavior of this nature is not appropriate or acceptable in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park,' the company added.
'We have revoked this guest's access to the WMBP, and their pass has been suspended.'
The bike was recovered from underneath the bridge with no damage, the teenagers said.

No one was hurt and police are saying little about a motive or suspects, but Ma says she won't be intimidated from continuing her work and serving the community. However, Ma says that she is worried about the lasting implications such a threat can have 'on the way that politicians serve.' When Ma was first elected, she says she took over a former members office and tore down a security wall that went across the room to make it more welcoming, but now says she'll work with a Legislature security team for a threat assessment and ongoing safety advice. But Ma says she is worried the blast can feed into a feeling among elected officials and the public that politicians are being more 'frequently targeted.' 'I worry that will drive elected officials further away from these kinds of open approaches, and that's not a criticism of elected officials. 'I mean, they've got to do what they need to do to keep themselves and their staff safe, but we also lose out as a democratic society when that happens.' Ma says Mounties told her that 'there is no indication of a repeat event' and an investigation is ongoing. At the same time, Ma says she encourages anyone passionate about running for office not to be deterred. 'I really do not want these kinds of incidents to dissuade anyone from doing the incredibly important work of serving communities,' she says. Man, 24, dies in dirt bike crash in Beaver Bank area
A 24-year-old man from Beaver Bank, N.S., is dead after crashing a dirt bike in the area early Saturday. Halifax RCMP say it responded to a report of the single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive and Pinebrook Drive at around 1:20 a.m. Once they arrived at the scene, police say they learned the man had been driving a dirt bike on Pinebrook Drive when it left the road and went into a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation is underway.

CRIME SCENE: Man sought on Canada-wide warrant in fatal Pickering fire probe
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 34-year-old man after a fatal fire in Pickering last month was ruled a homicide. Durham Regional Police responded on June 11 at 2:20 p.m. to a house fire in the Primrose Ct.-Fairport Rd. area. A 69-year-old woman was found dead inside the home. In June, Sandra Coutinho, 34, of Pickering, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to murder. She was held for a bail hearing.
