For sure – Marcus Rashford would relish playing with Lamine Yamal at Barcelona

Rashford, 27, signed a five-year contract with Manchester United in 2023, but spent the second half of the recently concluded Premier League campaign on loan at Aston Villa and his future under Ruben Amorim – who had left him out of several squads – remains uncertain.
The forward opened up about his ambitions in an interview with Spanish influencer Javi Ruiz which was shared by BBC Sport.
Asked if he would like to be team-mates with Barca's 17-year-old scoring sensation Yamal, Rashford said: 'Yes, for sure. Everyone wants to play with the best. Hopefully… we'll see.'
Barcelona sporting director Deco in May told Catalan radio station RAC1 that the club 'like' Rashford.
Rashford added: 'It's difficult to put into words what (Yamal) is doing because he's not supposed to be doing that at 16 or 17. I don't think we've seen that before.'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic performs incredible stunt in swimming pool as former Man United and Barcelona star shows his ability is still intact

Former Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has shown that his ability remains intact by performing a spectacular swimming pool stunt. The 43-year-old, who retired in 2023, had a penchant for scoring acrobatic goals during his career. Perhaps his most memorable strike came for Sweden against England in 2012 when Ibrahimovic scored an unbelievable overhead kick from 30 yards out. Ibrahimovic evoked memories of that goal by performing an overhead kick in a swimming pool in a post on social media. Since December 2023, Ibrahimovic has worked as a senior advisor at his former club AC Milan. He represented a host of high-profile clubs during a trophy-laden career. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Zlatan Ibrahimović (@iamzlatanibrahimovic) After starting out at Malmo, Ibrahimovic joined Ajax and later went on to play for Juventus, Inter Milan and Barcelona. In addition, he had two spells at AC Milan and also spent time at Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and LA Galaxy. Despite his stellar reputation during his playing days, Ibrahimovic hasn't escaped criticism from AC Milan's ultras since becoming an advisor. Milan endured a disappointing campaign as they ended up finishing in eighth place in Serie A. Ahead of the final game of the season against Monza last month Milan ultras were seen holding banners and hurling insults in protest against the club's hierarchy. A statement from the Milan ultras read: 'This is the best response we could give, because there is no curva, club, red, orange: there are only Milanisti and Milanismo. Things that those in that building have forgotten a long time ago. 'We are back in this square three years after celebrating the best Scudetto ever. After celebrating the return to the Champions League along with Paolo Maldini.' The ultras reserved specific criticism for Ibrahimovic, who they claimed was responsible for the 'disaster' which saw Milan's reserve team suffer relegation to Serie D in their first season in professional football. Ibrahimovic is now working as an advisor for AC Milan but has faced criticism from some fans

Brighton look to beat Manchester City to rising star of Club World Cup

Brighton have made a bid in the region of £20 million for Flamengo right-back Wesley França. The 21-year-old has also attracted interest from Manchester City and has been linked to Chelsea, although they are not in for the Brazilian and it is not an area of their team they are looking to change. Instead it is Brighton who have submitted an offer for Wesley, who played in Flamengo's impressive 3-1 win over Chelsea at the Club World Cup in Philadelphia. Wesley was at fault for Chelsea's goal, which gave them the lead, but played a key role in his side's comeback and has enhanced his reputation with his performances. It is understood that Flamengo are prepared to sell Wesley, who has two senior international caps, and are aware of his ambitions to move to Europe and play in the Premier League. However, they will not contemplate a sale until after their Club World Cup campaign ends, having targeted the tournament as one that they can win. It remains to be seen whether they will accept Brighton's bid. City view defender as potential replacement for Walker Brighton are in the market for a right-back, having used midfielder Jack Hinshelwood in that role, firstly, under Roberto De Zerbi and with his successor Fabian Hürzeler. Towards the end of last season Hürzeler used centre-half Adam Webster in that role. The manager also has 33-year-old Joël Veltman and Tariq Lamptey, although he has suffered from a series of injury problems and has been used further forward. Wesley is an attacking right-back who would fit Brighton's style. He is good on the ball, delivers dangerous crosses and has the physicality to thrive in the Premier League. He is not as strong defensively, but he is still young and regarded as a good prospect. City have considered him as a long-term replacement for Kyle Walker with Pep Guardiola having used Matheus Nunes and Rico Lewis in that position. City have also looked at Newcastle United's Tino Livramento and Juventus's Andrea Cambiaso, having accepted that it will be almost impossible to sign Paris St-Germain's Achraf Hakimi.
