CLUB Med's mantra is 'the purpose of life is to be happy - welcome to your happy place.'
As I gazed out over the turquoise Mediterranean Sea with a cocktail in hand, it was easy to see why the motto is well-earned.

The iconic brand is celebrating 75 years of holiday bliss and has marked the milestone with an £11million refurbishment to its Palmiye resort in Southern Turkiye.
Club Med pioneered the idea of a resort where everything is in one place for one price and have stayed ahead of the game since they unveiled the concept in 1950.
And nestled between the majestic Taurus Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, this Turkish Delight is now the jewel in their highly impressive crown.
I flew from Edinburgh with SunExpress airlines to Antalya and wasted no time in getting down to the main aim of Club Med - getting a break from the real world.
Staring at your phone is the world's worst habit, it's certainly mine, but the experiences on offer at Club Med make that impossible
You can't be on your mobile when you are cutting through the turquoise sea waterskiing or taking the ropes of a sail boat and becoming your own captain for the day.
And the food, drink and entertainment make the resort a one-stop shop for a break like no other.
The first thing that grabbed me about the resort was how beautifully clean it was. The investment was well spent as the whole hotel was gleaming.

The stunning room at Club Med
My room was bright and spacious with double glazed doors out into a balcony for an early evening drink as the sun went down.
It also had a very comfy bed with plenty of pillows - always a good sign of quality in my book.
I visited the pretty city that straddles both Asia and Europe
But I didn't stay long in the room before heading down to the beach front, attracted by the delightful aroma coming from the resort's restaurants.
The buffets are class acts - nothing is cold or looks like it's been there too long.
Turkish cuisine is famous for grilling and this place didn't disappoint with restaurant The Olympus grill the star of the show.
The chicken kebabs for dinner were delicious and lunch was grilled whole sea bass, bream or salmon.
It was simple cooking but that's the best kind. There was also a vast array of sides and salads to choose from and a mind-boggling spread of sauces and combinations.
Themed nights are a big part of Club Med and we were lucky to experience two of them during our stay.

One of the themed parties at Club Med
On one evening, guests and staff were all encouraged to wear red and white to celebrate the Turkish hospitality we were receiving.
The second was a 'white' party which again led almost everyone to find their best white garb for the night.
On that evening, the chefs at Olympus spread the food around the sprawling front lawn and grilled up sirloin steaks how you liked them while trapeze artists carried out incredible stunts and tricks.
Of course it's only a bit of fun, you won't get booted out for wearing your normal clothes, but the party nights make Club Med feel more like a community resort.
Once the food was digested, that's when the party really got going. Efes beach nightclub was bouncing until the early hours with the dance floor a sea of matched colours dancing the night away.
The following morning, we were feeling a little delicate but a visit to the breakfast at Phasalis sorted me right out.
The lavish buffet was a sight for bleary eyes - and began with freshly squeezed orange juice.
There were numerous cereals, fruits, yoghurts and, in a rather classy touch, fresh honey straight from the honeycomb.
I then enjoyed eggs cooked to order and homemade pancakes with a cup of freshly brewed coffee.
With the hearty breakfast demolished, it was time to enjoy Club Med's other main attraction - sports and recreation.
I'd never attempted any kind of sailing before but after a 30 minute tutorial, I felt like I could take on the high seas.

Luckily the wind was fair and the waves were calm so my first journey didn't end in a Castaway-style disaster, especially as I hadn't packed a volleyball called Wilson.
Nearby, some guests were trying their hand at the far more daredevil sport of waterskiing while some others took the far more sedate paddleboarding to enjoy the view.
Back on dry land, Palmiye had around a dozen other sports that all come as part of the package including tennis, archery, ping pong, aerial assault courses and the latest fashion craze, padel.

You'll be flying high at Club Med Palmiye

Just one of the SIX pools at Club Med Palmiye
Yoga and pilates are also available every morning for those who wish to get their zen on with a view of the turquoise coast at the same time.
Of course, no Club Med resort comes without swimming pools and Palmiye comes with six - including an infinity pool and zen pool.
There was acres of space to chill out and you could pick any lounger and not hear the conversations of the family next to you.
After a swim, I headed to one of the two spas in the resort. Again, I had to remind myself that all of this was part of the Club Med experience - it was all included.
The plush establishment had two saunas, two steam rooms and an ice bath to get the blood flowing.
From there, you walked through to a hammam - a Turkish bath to us - for an experience that has been enjoyed by locals for thousands of years.
GO: TURKEY
GO: CLUB MED PALMIYE
GETTING THERE: Seven nights all-inclusive stay at Club Med Palmiye Hotel from £2,620 per adult (based on double occupancy) with return flights from Glasgow (GLA) with transfers included.
See clubmed.co.uk/r/palmiye-hotel/y or call 03453 676767.
To complete the experience, there was a plunge pool outside with sun loungers to sit and relax in the sea breeze.
While most of the Club Med experience was on land, a classy element of the holiday was the boat trip laid on one afternoon.
The chance to see the resort from the gentle waters of the Mediterranean, along with some of the 'Turquoise Coast' was a fantastic way to spend a few hours,.
After some sunbathing on the deck, I then had the chance to get a snorkel on and jump into the clear ocean to cool off.
The whole experience left me with genuine holiday vibes; the exercise that I wanted, the rest I needed and the food I craved.
I couldn't remember when I last wore shoes or what day it was - that's Club Med relaxation.

London's best cheap eats, according to TikTok foodie Sama Ansari Pour

From Iranian street food in Finchley to Bolivian empanadas on the Old Kent Road Every year, Time Out surveys thousands of people around the world to come up with an annual ranking of the world's greatest cities. This year, for the first time, Time Out discovered which locations were best for Gen Z by asking people under 30 what they thought about their city's nightlife, food, culture, access to green spaces, and walkability. It turns out that the UK's best city for Gen Z is Edinburgh, with London coming in a not-too-bad second place. To celebrate London's high ranking placement, we asked Sama Ansari Pour, a Gen Z journalist and content creator who has been eating her way through a host of global cuisines on her TikTok, to recommend her five favourite meals for under £10 in the city. 1. Caspian Lounge, Finchley What is it? One of the few places in London to score authentic Iranian street food. Why Sama loves it: Western eats (think burgers and hot dogs) meet Iranian flavours. saffron-marinated chicken burgers, thick beef Iranian sausage hot dogs topped with a healthy amount of yogurt and dill sauce. Traditional Iranian dishes like kotlet (potato and meat patties) and olivieh (potato salad) are stuffed into sandwiches that'll keep you full all day, but the best thing to order is their special hotdog – tender beef sausage stuffed in a freshly baked baguette with layers of cheese and crunchy vegetables. Thank me later. Sama's tip: Skip the sides (fries and salad) and spend that money on fresh pomegranate juice instead. Address: 427 High Road, Finchley, N12 0AP. Opening hours: 11am-11pm, open every day. Expect to pay: Between £7.99 to £9.99 depending on the sandwich. 2. Enfes Ocakbasi, Haringey What is it? The best lahmacun in London. Why Sama loves it: Because you can order a £4.50 lahmacun and get four to five free starters, as well as free tea, and often free rice pudding as well. It's typical for Turkish restaurants to provide starters for free, but a lot of Turkish restaurants in the city are phasing this out. Not Enfes Ocakbasi. In my experience, no matter what you order, you'll be served hot bread, hummus, cacik, grilled onions and two types of salad. The lahmacun is made fresh and loaded with flavourful meat. It's hard to get a better deal. Sama's tip: Put the salad in the lahmacun, squeeze lemon on it and make it into a big wrap – that's the authentic Turkish way to eat it. Address: 485-487 Green Lanes, Harringay Ladder, N4 1AJ. Opening hours: 11am-12am, Monday to Friday, 11am-1am on the weekends. Expect to pay: Lahmacun costs £4.50. Sama Ansari Pour 3. Salteńas Martin, Old Kent Road What is it? A Bolivian cafe serving excellent empanadas. Why Sama loves it: At Salteńas Martin you can buy multiple baked goods and a drink, and still have change left over from a tenner. Everything is made fresh and you have to try a salteña – a Bolivian-style empanada stuffed with chicken, potatoes, olives and vegetables. Compared to other Latin American empanadas, it kind of reminds me of a xiao long bao because it's so juicy – the flaky pastry is hiding a little soup inside. Sama's tip: Take a bite of the salteña and eat the fillings with a spoon, the traditional Bolivian way. Address: 214 Old Kent Road, SE1 5TY. Opening hours: Mon closed, Tue and Thu 8.30am–5pm, Wed 8:30am–6pm, Fri-Sat 8am–10pm, Sun 8am–9pm. Expect to pay: A salteña costs £2.80, other baked goods start from £1 and the most expensive is £5. 4. Suya Hut, Barking What is it? Perfectly spiced Nigerian barbeque. Why Sama loves it: You can get a huge portion of jollof rice, barbequed meat and salad for £9-10, depending on if you want chicken or beef. It may be one of the best barbeques you'll ever try in your life: it's smoky, spicy, nutty and moreish. The meat is served on a bed of jollof rice, which is possibly one of my favourite rice dishes out there. Spicy, tomatoey, umami – it's hard to stop eating it. The portions are incredibly generous, you'll likely have leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. Sama's tip: Order a Nigerian Fanta for the ultimate authentic experience. Address: 14A London Road, Barking, IG11 8AJ. Opening hours: Thu-Sat, 12–8pm. Expect to pay: £9–10, depending on your choice of meat. Sama Ansari Pour 5. Kulcha Express, Southall What is it? Punjabi comfort food. Why Sama loves it: The best chicken curry I have ever had is served here, and it was only £9.50. It was rich, well-spiced and the chicken was so tender it almost melted – I didn't need a knife at all. You can also grab a freshly made paratha stuffed with onions or cheese. It's a small eatery and filled with locals – it's not fancy, but you won't forget the food. Sama's tip: Skip the rice and get a freshly made roti instead – it's cheaper and mops up the flavours perfectly. Address: 80 South Road, Southall, UB1 1RD. Opening hours: Sun-Thu 10am–10pm, Fri-Sat 10am–10.30pm. Expect to pay: Parathas from £2.50, curries are £9 to £10 depending on the meat. It doesn't get more intimate than Humble on Duke. There's room for only 14 guests to dine at once in this tiny Sunshine Beach dining room. Chef Stacey Conner embraces the Middle Eastern approach to eating, drawing inspiration from her most memorable travels through the region. Humble on Duke's ever-changing sharing menu could see you snacking on beef doughnuts with house-made mustard and crispy zucchini flowers drizzled with honey. Dunk Lebanese fried lamb dumplings into herb yoghurt, dip fresh Turkish bread into baba ganoush, and drizzle gravy over an epic peppercorn-crusted Wagyu T-bone steak. Wine pairings are available, with a strong focus on South Australian vineyards.

On Sunday, she shared more videos and snaps from the getaway, and surprised her followers by sharing a picture with Molly-Mae. Molly-Mae, 26, was also staying at the resort with partner Tommy Fury and their daughter Bambi. In the snap, Stacey wore a red swimsuit with a pair of ripped denim shorts over the top. Meanwhile Molly-Mae wore cream joggers with a matching T-shirt. The women looked delighted to be in each other's company, and Stacey captioned it: "Got to spend the first part of our holiday with @MollyMae, @TommyFury and Bambi. Bumped into them at dinner one night and fell in love. "Genuinely the nicest, most down to earth family. And Bambi omg I can't. Just the most kind hearted little one. Rose was gutted when she left! "Can't wait for them to come to pickle cottage." She also posted a snap of her son Leighton, 12, posing for a snap with boxer Tommy, 26, and a pal, writing that they were "buzzing" to meet him. Molly-Mae then re-shared Stacey's post alongside a love heart and teary eyed emojis. Molly-Mae accused of 'always moaning' as she claims not to have done 'one fun thing' this summer despite holidays Earlier in the trip, Stacey showed off her bikini body in a series of snaps by a pool waterfall. In the pictures, she wore a black bikini with her blonde hair down around her shoulders. She penned, in part: "My body looks a little different to last year's summer holiday. "I am actually so proud of myself because I've stuck to my weight training consistently since February. Stacey Solomon's cleaning tips IF you want a home that gleams like Stacey's, you'll need to listen up! Label Everything: Stacey swears by the power of labelling. From pantry jars to storage bins, clear labels help keep everything organised and easy to find. Daily Tidy Routine: Dedicate 15-20 minutes each day to tidying up. This prevents clutter from building up and makes weekly deep cleaning less daunting. Baking Soda Magic: Stacey uses baking soda for a variety of cleaning tasks. It's great for deodorising carpets, cleaning grout, and even freshening up mattresses. Upcycle Containers: Repurpose old jars, tins, and containers to store cleaning supplies, craft materials, or kitchen ingredients. It's both eco-friendly and cost-effective. Shine with Vinegar: White vinegar is a staple in Stacey's cleaning arsenal. It works wonders on windows, mirrors, and even limescale build-up in kettles. Make It Fun: Turn on your favourite music or podcast to make cleaning less of a chore and more of a fun, productive activity. Use a Toothbrush: For those hard-to-reach spots, a toothbrush can be an excellent tool. Use it to scrub grout lines, around taps, and in other small crevices. Declutter Regularly: Stacey advises a regular declutter session to get rid of items you no longer need. This keeps your home neat and creates more space for the things you love. Air Fresheners: Create your own natural air fresheners using essential oils. Stacey loves using lavender or citrus oils to keep her home smelling fresh. Microfibre Cloths: These are essential for dusting and cleaning surfaces without leaving streaks. They are reusable and can be easily washed. Incorporate these tips into your routine for a cleaner, more organised home, just like Stacey Solomon's! "Kept quiet and just got my head down & kept going. I genuinely only do it because I want to be so strong. Like boss b***h strong. "I want to forever be able to pick up my babies with ease & carry double buggies on my shoulder when necessary." Stacey continued: "I feel so much stronger this year which is so empowering & yes my body has changed but honestly I loved my body aesthetically last year as much as I do this year. "I've always been beautiful no matter what shape or size. "So I suppose what I'm trying to say is… Don't commit to fitness just for the looks. "Do it so you can wrestle your 17 year old & carry all three of your toddlers in 40• heat & you'll enjoy the journey more." 5 Stacey showed off her bikini body earlier in the trip Credit: Not known, clear with picture desk
