Large tree falls, crushes cars in Boston
A large tree fell, ripped down wires, and crushed multiple cars in a Boston neighborhood on Monday morning.
The toppled tree smashed down on cars that were parked along Sutherland Street in Brighton.
Crews with Boston Parks and Recreation responded to the scene and were working to cut up the downed tree with chainsaws.
A resident of the neighborhood said she was getting ready for the day when she heard a loud bang around 6:30 a.m.
'I wasn't sure what it was, but I heard a loud crash outside,' the resident said. 'You just never know. Make sure you have car insurance, I guess."
The tree fell amid blustery conditions across the region.
There were no reported injuries.

As temperatures rise this weekend and early next week, jumping into bodies of water can be tempting. Sunday and Monday will be the hottest days in the Puget Sound area, ranging from the 80s to the low-90s, but experts advise people to swim with caution. Although it will be hot outside, the water will still be dangerously cold, according to a Friday news release from the National Weather Service's Seattle office. Surface-level water may seem warm, but the real risk lies deeper in the water, experts warn. This early in the year, bodies of water aren't necessarily warm enough to swim safely. 'We're still early in the season and waters are still running cold and fast and we've already had cold water-related fatalities this year,' the news release said. Worcester city officials warn of elevated E. Coli levels after wastewater overflows into storm drain
Worcester City Officials are warning the public of an elevated risk of E. Coli levels after wastewater was discharged onto the streets. Officials say that on Friday morning, around 11:07 AM, the city encountered a sewage overflow in the area of 65 Lake Avenue. Around 470 gallons of untreated wastewater was discharged from an underground pipe and onto the street. An immediate response from city crews was able to stop the leakage around 12:41 PM and ensure that the sewer system was operating normally. However, during the wastewater leak, some of it had made its way into some of the storm drains, which ultimately drains to Lake Quinsigamond. The city is now advising the public of a possible elevation to E. Coli levels near the areas of the discharge.
