Rs 3.5 cr bridge, road repair works launched
The repair works cover the dilapidated bridge culverts near the Dargah area on the Aiza–Kurnool road, falling under Aiza Municipality limits, along with 6 kilometers of BT road which had deteriorated due to prolonged usage and lack of maintenance.
During his inspection of the site, MLA Vijayudu expressed concerns over the current condition of the culverts and roads, stating that the damaged infrastructure could cause major disruptions to the movement of heavy vehicles and daily commuters. He emphasized the urgency of completing the works swiftly and directed the R&B Department officials – AE Altaf, DE Subhash, and contractor Nagayya Naidu – to carry out the repairs with quality and speed.
'The bridge culverts are in a critical state. If not addressed immediately, they could pose serious risks to public safety and transport. The sanctioned funds must be utilized efficiently to ensure that the road is made fully functional at the earliest,' said MLA Vijayudu during his visit.
The inspection program was also attended by several BRS Party leaders and local representatives.
The launch of these infrastructure improvements marks a significant step toward better road connectivity and public convenience in the Alampur region. Local residents and travelers are expected to benefit greatly from the upgraded infrastructure, which is poised to enhance transport efficiency and safety in the area.

The CM said her government has spent Rs 17,000 crore for implementing the scheme, which has also received UN recognition. "Due to Kanyashree, dropout rates at the primary, secondary and higher secondary levels have dropped. Dropout rates at the primary level are zero," she said. The aim of the government is to make the youth self-sufficient and help them stand on their own feet, she said.

India among fastest growing economies: JSW chairman Sajjan Jindal
JSW Group chairman Sajjan Jindal on Thursday countered US President Donald Trump's recent remarks on India, saying India is one of the largest and fastest growing economies in the world. Speaking at the listing ceremony of JSW Cement at the NSE here, Jindal said India is the fastest growing large economy and has a great future ahead, days after US President Donald Trump's remark of India being a dead economy. "We are going to see a great future for India, because India is growing, it's one of the largest, fastest growing large economies in the world. Whatever Trump may say, that doesn't matter. We are the fastest growing large economy in the world," Jindal said. Amid the trade policy negotiations, Trump had called India as a "dead economy" while expressing disappointment with New Delhi's posturing to continue buying cheap oil from Russia. "I don't care what India does with Russia. They can take their dead economies down together," Trump had reportedly said.
