Willie Mullins and right-hand man Harold Kirk splashed more than £1million on top talent at the Tattersalls Derby Sale - a proven hunting ground for Cheltenham Festival winners
Mullins has had two Nathaniels before and both have won at the Festival.
Burning Victory won the infamous 2020 Triumph Hurdle that saw Goshen unship Jamie Moore at the last when miles clear.
While the late Concertista won the Mares' Novices' Hurdle the same year.
But they were out of Flat mares, whereas this new kid on the block is bred for the jumping game.

The reigning Irish and British champion jumps trainer bought nine horses at the sales all in all. Here they are in full:
£150,000 - Nathaniel gelding
£140,000 - Messire Corton - half-bro to Grade 1 winner Black Corton
£135,000 - Fontaine L'Abbe - a three-year-old gelding by Goliath Du Berlais
£128,000 - Miss Mam - a Masked Marvel filly
£120,000 - Crystal Ocean gelding
£111,000 - Masked L'As - a three-year-old Masked Marvel gelding
£105,000 - Mystic Des Bordes - granddam is the mother of Kopek Des Bordes
£102,000 - Mystere Du Chenet - a three-year-old Doctor Dino gelding
£50,000 - King Of The Blue - gelding related to former Listed Prix Wild Monarch winner Fiumicino
Total spend: £1,041,000
Mullins and his sales guru Harold Kirk went to a shade over £150,000 to land lot 138 who, through his dam's sire Poliglote, can be linked to current Mullins superstar Fact To File as well as former champs Politologue and Don Poli.
The three-year-old gelding was immediately given a future target - the €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland MSL Mercedes-Benz Sales Bumper in December.
The second most expensive purchase made by the all-conquering trainer was £140,000 Messire Corton - a half-brother to Black Corton.
The Paul Nicholls-trained Black Corton put Bryony Frost on the map and was a 14-time winner including the Grade 1 Kauto Star Novices' Chase at Kempton.
Of the nine purchases Mullins made only one cost less than £100,000.
Mullins had three Cheltenhan Festival winners from this sale last year alone in the shape of Kopek Des Bordes, Lecky Watson and Final Demand.
It's clearly been a happy hunting ground for him and he told Tattersalls about why he loves this sale so much.
He said: "I've got a nice few horses - it's been a lucky place for us.
"I like the type of horses that are sold here and they've been good to us - so why change?
"The Nathaniel gelding is out of a jumping pedigree - we've had two Cheltenham winners out of Nathaniel with a Flat pedigree.
"We're very happy with the purchases. Goliath Du Berlais is a nice stallion coming through too and we always look at his stock.
"I get Harold to do all the work!
"Sales are not my first love so he's quite busy for the two or three days before the sales, he whittles them down, we have a look and we make a decision then when they're in the ring.
"I'm very happy with the value I'm getting here.
"I'll put saddles on these horses as soon as I can. Why let them go out in a field?
"I believe in getting stuck into them straight away."
Kirk added: "We've bought more horses here this year than we ever have.
"If you go back years we had Cousin Vinny, Wicklow Brave and Pique Sous from this sale."
Mullins has had a busy few days having saddled a winner at Royal Ascot as well.
He was in the Royal Procession on Saturday - hours before Sober claimed the Queen Alexandra under Ryan Moore.
Mullins will take aim at a number of the money-spinning Flat races over the summer, possibly with King Charles' horse Reaching High.
He looked to be travelling incredibly well in the Ascot Stakes but couldn't find a run through when it mattered most.
He's also been keeping tabs on the sales, with his most expensive purchase of the season so far being the £300,000 paid for the hugely promising Poetisa.

EXCLUSIVE We love Glastonbury so much we got MARRIED there - we undertook one unique act at the ceremony to truly 'tie the knot'

A couple have tied the knot at Glastonbury in a unique 'handfasting' ceremony - with the rest of the music event becoming their honeymoon. Cake maker Charlie Lowe, 31, and her partner Charles Shires, 32, an aerial surveyor, made their love official this week at the iconic festival. Handfasting is a spiritual ritual rooted in Celtic traditions where a couple's hands are tied together to symbolise their commitment to each other. Charlie told MailOnline: 'It was amazing, absolutely unbelievable. The ceremony was so emotional, I cried the whole time. 'We've both been to Glastonbury a lot of times, I three and Charles six. We love it here, everyone is so happy and it's full of like-minded people. It doesn't feel like real life.' She added: 'I got faux bouquets made with disco balls and I made the hand ties myself too. 'I made a wedding cake and brought it into the festival. I wanted to challenge myself and see if it would survive 30-degree heat and it did.' Charlie found the service online and booked it three months well in advance 'to get a good slot', as the practice has become increasingly popular among festival-goers. The betrothed couple then celebrated the ceremony with a Yorkshire pudding wrap for their wedding breakfast and some champagne The happy pair were joined by 15 friends who managed to get tickets to the highly sought-after event. Though the ceremony itself was unconventional, the bride kept it traditional in a classic white wedding dress and veil, while the couple swapped vows. But Charlie joked they won't be able to stay tied together for the whole festival: 'I don't think that would work with the drop toilets.' The Harrogate natives have been together for five years and met through a mutual friend at a party. They got engaged in January and plan to have a legal ceremony next year, but hope to keep it 'low-key'. The betrothed couple celebrated the ceremony with a Yorkshire pudding wrap for their wedding breakfast and some champagne. 'The rest of the festival is like our honeymoon and then I'm having an après Glasto hen do when I get back next week. My friend is organising it so it's going to be a surprise,' said Charlie. However, Zoe Burke, leading wedding expert and editor of Hitched, warns the ceremony isn't actually legal: 'A wedding like this isn't legal in England and Wales, even if led by a registered celebrant, so you'll either need to do the legal bit ahead of time or after the festival celebration. 'For those planning in Scotland, Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands, it'll be up to your celebrant to determine if it 's a suitable location for a wedding.'

Watch Olivia Rodrigo bring out The Cure's Robert Smith for surprise Glastonbury duet as fans call it ‘incredible'

OLIVIA Rodrigo brought out a British music icon for her Glastonbury headline performance. The talented US singer, 22, surprised fans midway through her set by introducing The Cure's Robert Smith, 66, to the stage. 4 4 4 The wild-haired romantic wordsmith walked out with a shy smile to a relatively muted response, before launching in to his band's anthem Friday I'm In Love. A true Glasto legend, Smith's band are tied with Coldplay for the most headline appearances with four - their latest coming in 2019. And the frontman showed he still has what it takes to command the biggest festival of them all, a year on from The Cure's latest release - the dark, brooding, five-star Songs of a Lost World. If Rodrigo's audience weren't quite familiar with him at first, it wasn't long before they were singing along to his genius. Those at home revelled in the unlikely collab, with one writing on X: "As if Olivia Rodrigo's brought out Robert Smith ffs. Heaven!!" Another said: "Robert Smith still has one of the most magical voices ever, incredible musician." A third wrote: "Robert Smith on with Olivia Rodrigo. Now that's a proper moment." A fourth said: "I didn't have Robert Smith on my Olivia bingo card!!" The duo finished their partnership with another Cure track: Just Like Heaven. It was an accomplished headlining debut for Rodrigo. Surrounded by quality young musicians who know how to rock, she belted out her catchy hits and commanded the stage like a much more experienced performer. Incredible moment Olivia Rodrigo brings out Ed Sheeran at huge sold out BST gig ahead of Glastonbury For her encore, Rodrigo returned to the stage in a pair of sparkling Union Jack hotpants and launched into a raucous Brutal followed by All-American B*tch. While eyebrows were raised when she was unveiled as the second youngest headliner in Glasto history, behind Billie Eilish, the signs were there that it was an inspired choice. Her headline performance at BST on Friday night left no doubt that she was ready to perform on the iconic stage. During her set at London's Hyde Park she invited Ed Sheeran to the stage to perform his track The A Team, with the Brit troubadour another of her A-list fans. But the sell-out show belonged to her and she signed off with her anthems Good 4 U and Got Him Back! Tonight, as inflatable balls were released into the crowd, Rodrigo truly arrived as a global headline force. 4
