Al Sadd and Al Duhail are set to face off in the final of Qatar Cup 2025 at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Saturday (7pm kick-off).
The match represents a significant clash between two prominent teams, both harbouring aspirations to claim the prestigious cup. The encounter is anticipated to be thrilling as both teams are determined to secure victory and the title.
This season, Al Sadd and Al Duhail have faced off each other twice in Ooredoo Stars League, with Al Duhail winning the first match 5-1 and Al Sadd claiming a 2-0 victory in the second encounter.
Al Sadd coach Felix Sanchezsaid, 'The opponent is a great team with high-level players. We are continuing to prepare with all our strength to prepare well for this difficult match against a distinguished team.
'The players have a great desire to play in such finals. Al Duhail are a strong team and our ambition is to win and make Al Sadd fans proud, especially after winning the Ooredoo Stars League title.

Al Sadd player Youssef Atal said, 'We are striving to win the title and be crowned Qatar Cup 2025 champions despite the difficulty of the match against Al Duhail.
'We are facing a difficult final match. Al Sadd always compete for titles and we will approach the Qatar Cup final with all our strength to achieve this very important title.
'Reaching the final has made us very happy as players, management, and fans, and we will work hard to reach full readiness for the final match.'
Al Duhail coach Christophe Galtier said it would be grudge match but they seek to win the Cup.
'We know it will be a very difficult match. We will be facing the best team in the league, the 2024-2025 Ooredoo Stars League champions. The players are ready and fully prepared for this match. We have the confidence, strength, ability and fighting spirit to achieve victory and perform well, and this is what will qualify us to win. We are preparing for all scenarios in this final, which will be exciting between the two teams,' said Galtier.
'Regarding the loss of league title, as I said before, Al Sadd deserved to win the league title. We were leading until the last three matches. We lost the Al Shamal match, which was a turning point in our journey and gave Al Sadd the opportunity to take the lead and win the title.
'I have great confidence in the players and I know it will be a difficult match, and we are ready to win the cup,' he added.
Al Duhail star Hakim Ziyech said, 'It was a good season for us despite losing the league title. Our focus is now on the final match of Qatar Cup 2025. We have great confidence in ourselves to perform our best and win this title.
'Losing the league title in the final stages pushes us to make up for it, but the Qatar Cup final will be different and we must give our best on the field to win.'

Riding Viahipi d'Auzay, Haidan secured second place in the third and final round, but it boosted his total to 105 points to claim top honours at Al Shaqab's Longines Indoor Arena. Thorsten Wittenberg finished second overall after placing third in the final round aboard Casallino 12. Khaled Aleid, who won the concluding round on Q Sahel, secured third place overall with a total of 94 points. In the Youth Champions (125–135cm) category, Abdulaziz Fahad Aleid claimed the overall title with 101 points. Meanwhile, Haya Khalid Al Hitmi was crowned Junior Champion (115–125cm), earning 97 points to edge out Ibrahim Khalid Al Kuwari by just two points. Fahad Jassim Al Thani secured third place with 93 points. Al Kuwari, riding Just In Time, won the final round yesterday. Haya, aboard Murdoc, finished second, while Al Thani claimed third place on Hazel de Luxe. In the Amateur Class (90–100cm), Mohammed Salem Al Naemi topped the standings with 77 points to be named overall champion. Joud Bassam El Aker (74 points) and Ali Abdulla Al Muhannadi (70 points) rounded out the podium. Mohammed Faisal Al Marri emerged as the Future Champions (105–115cm) winner, amassing 98 points. Ahmed Ali Jaber took second place with 87 points, while Hadi Mansour Al Shahwani placed third with 86 points. In the team competition, Al Adeed secured top spot in the league standings, followed by Farhoud and Faraa. Earlier, in the first event of the final day, Nasser Hamad Al Thani riding Coco Chanel SB delivered a flawless performance to win the Introductory Class 2 (60cm) with a time of 60.92 seconds. Salha Khalid Obaidli aboard Tinkerbell closely followed, finishing second in 61.12 seconds, while Meshael Mohammed Al Thani on Lancome Paris secured third place. Alanoud Rashid Al Shahwani (Moreade Fee B), Asmaa Ahmad Al Sulaiti (Tinkerbell), and Fahad Mohammed Al Sulaiti (Chapuisat) completed the top six.

Hadi Mansour Al Shahwani, on Monopoly, posted a competitive 26.53 seconds in the jump-off to claim third place.
