QSL's Director of Media and Communications hails Al Sadd on winning Qatar Cup 2025

QSL Doha Abdullah Saleh Al Sulaiti, Director of Media and Communications at the Qatar Stars League (QSL), congratulated Al Sadd on winning the Qatar Cup 2025 after defeating Al Duhail in the final on Saturday. He said, 'I would like to congratulate the technical and administrative staff, players and fans on this well-deserved victory, following strong and outstanding performance throughout the tournament's semifinal and final.' He also praised the strong technical level displayed by the competing clubs in this edition and the exciting competition between them to reach the final and win the prestigious trophy – The Glorious Cup. He added, 'I take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to our partners, all media organizations and the Host Broadcaster for their great efforts with us throughout the season and in this prestigious tournament, the Qatar Cup, to which QSL attaches great importance. We hope to continue co-operating with everyone in future events and tournaments.'

Al Sadd-Duhail set for Qatar Cup final

Tribune News Network Doha Al Sadd and Al Duhail are set to face off in the final of Qatar Cup 2025 at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Saturday (7pm kick-off). The match represents a significant clash between two prominent teams, both harbouring aspirations to claim the prestigious cup. The encounter is anticipated to be thrilling as both teams are determined to secure victory and the title. This season, Al Sadd and Al Duhail have faced off each other twice in Ooredoo Stars League, with Al Duhail winning the first match 5-1 and Al Sadd claiming a 2-0 victory in the second encounter. Al Sadd coach Felix Sanchezsaid, 'The opponent is a great team with high-level players. We are continuing to prepare with all our strength to prepare well for this difficult match against a distinguished team. 'The players have a great desire to play in such finals. Al Duhail are a strong team and our ambition is to win and make Al Sadd fans proud, especially after winning the Ooredoo Stars League title. 'There is no room for mistakes in a final. We have extensive experience in dealing with finals and I have great confidence in the players to perform at their best and win the title. 'We must focus and deliver a great match to win the title and please Al Sadd fans. Al Sadd player Youssef Atal said, 'We are striving to win the title and be crowned Qatar Cup 2025 champions despite the difficulty of the match against Al Duhail. 'We are facing a difficult final match. Al Sadd always compete for titles and we will approach the Qatar Cup final with all our strength to achieve this very important title. 'Reaching the final has made us very happy as players, management, and fans, and we will work hard to reach full readiness for the final match.' Al Duhail coach Christophe Galtier said it would be grudge match but they seek to win the Cup. 'We know it will be a very difficult match. We will be facing the best team in the league, the 2024-2025 Ooredoo Stars League champions. The players are ready and fully prepared for this match. We have the confidence, strength, ability and fighting spirit to achieve victory and perform well, and this is what will qualify us to win. We are preparing for all scenarios in this final, which will be exciting between the two teams,' said Galtier. 'Regarding the loss of league title, as I said before, Al Sadd deserved to win the league title. We were leading until the last three matches. We lost the Al Shamal match, which was a turning point in our journey and gave Al Sadd the opportunity to take the lead and win the title. 'I have great confidence in the players and I know it will be a difficult match, and we are ready to win the cup,' he added. Al Duhail star Hakim Ziyech said, 'It was a good season for us despite losing the league title. Our focus is now on the final match of Qatar Cup 2025. We have great confidence in ourselves to perform our best and win this title. 'Losing the league title in the final stages pushes us to make up for it, but the Qatar Cup final will be different and we must give our best on the field to win.'

QSL announces special arrangements for Qatar Cup 2025 final

QSL Doha The Qatar Stars League (QSL) announced the arrangements and preparations for Qatar Cup 2025 final between Al Sadd and Al Duhail on Saturday at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium of Al Sadd club (kick-off 7pm). The announcement was made at a press conference held at QSL Headquarters, attended by Hassan Rabiah Al Kuwari, Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Communication at QSL, and Ahmed Salman Al Adsani, Director of Competitions at QSL, in the presence of media representatives and Qatar Cup Ambassadors. Al Kuwari said, 'I welcome all attendees and congratulate both teams on qualifying for the final of The Glorious Cup to which we attach great importance in terms of preparations and arrangements, in co-operation and co-ordination with all stakeholders and partners, to ensure a distinguished performance at all levels. Tickets for the match went on sale on Monday, May 5, and are available only through QSL's official website A dedicated fan zone will be active two hours before kick-off and will feature related facilities and entertainment activities with the aim of providing a unique fan experience. Valuable prizes will also be available through a raffle, including a car as well as cash prizes totalling QR10,000 for each participant in the Golden Goal half-time activation. Al Kuwari extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to all sponsors, partners, stakeholders, media organisations, Host Broadcaster and Qatar Cup 2025 Ambassadors. Mr. Al Adsani said, 'We congratulate both teams on their participation in the Qatar Cup 2025 final. We also emphasize that our preparations are going on well to ensure a distinguished final, in co-ordination with the two clubs and all relevant parties. We thank them all for their co-operation.' A technical meeting was held with representatives of both teams to discuss organizational procedures, match-day operations and coronation. It was emphasized that, in accordance with what was previously announced, if the match ends in a draw, extra time will be played for 30 minutes, divided into two halves. If the draw persists, penalty shoot-out will be enforced.
