Hamza Igamane a Feyenoord transfer target as Rangers braced for record breaking bid from Dutch giants

The Eredivise giants are desperate to knock PSV off their perch and Robin van Persie wants Gers' Moroccan star to shoot them down Dutch big guns Feyenoord are considering shattering their own transfer record by launching a big money move for Hamza Igamane. ‌ Sources in Rotterdam have confirmed to Record Sport that the big spending Eredivisie outfit have joined a group of clubs from across Europe closely tracking the Rangers striker and have not been scared off by Igamane's potential multi-million pound price tag. ‌ It's understood president Toon van Bodegom is prepared to dig deep this summer in a bid to help recently appointed boss Robin van Persie knock PSV Eindhoven off their perch after back-to-back title wins. ‌ He's already backed Van Persie by splashing out around £10m to sign Holland's player of the year last season, Sem Steijn, from FC Twente ahead of the new campaign. The deal for Steijn made the playmaker the most expensive signing in Feyenoord's history but, two just months on, Van Bodegom is prepared to break the bank all over again as Van Persie weighs up a number of potential new strikers. And Igamane 's name is believed to feature high on his shortlist of targets. French clubs Lille and Rennes are understood to be closely monitoring Igamane's situation with Everton and Italian outfit Udinese also heavily linked. Lille had thrashed out Igamane's personal terms earlier this summer but then failed to table a cash offer after being spooked by an asking price believed to be around £15m. ‌ Rennes are now thought to be the next Ligue 1 club ready to come to the table after selling former Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi to Birmingham and preparing to bank a further £20m from the sale of another striker, Arnaud Kalimuendo. But Feyenoord could jump to the front of the queue with sources in the Netherlands insisting that the interest in the Moroccan international is 'very serious' even if a £15m fee would be 'at the very top end' of Feyenoord's budget. Igamane has been named in Russell Martin 's squad for the Champions League double header against Panathinaikos but is not expected to lead the Rangers attack in tomorrow night's first leg tie, with former Feyenoord frontman Danilo tipped to get the nod up front. Celtic winger Luis Palma joins Lech Poznan on season season-long loan

Celtic winger Luis Palma has joined Polish side Lech Poznan on a season-long loan. The 25-year-old Honduras international joined the Hoops two seasons ago ahead of the 2023/2024 campaign. He initially caught the eye with a string of impressive performances and scored ten goals as Brendan Rodgers side won the league and cup double. But he struggled to maintain his place in the starting team following a loss of form and was loaned out to Olympiakos in Greece last season. Celtic confirmed on Monday that he has left in another loan deal, this time to Poland. A statement posted on social media said: 'Luis Palma has joined Lech Poznań on loan. 'Good luck, Luis.' "We came into it prepared right and we showed them a lot of respect coming in with our preparation and it's just good to get a 4-0 win."But we're a little bit frustrated. We need to improve on a lot of things, but still, you can't complain about winning 4-0."We're trying to get into good habits and keeping clean sheets is a really good habit, as is winning games. So we just need to keep switched on and keep preparing properly for these games."I'll play wherever the gaffer puts me."It's enjoyable and it's been a good introduction into the side. I'm just trying my best to get a place in the team and wherever it may be."It's not my most natural position, but wherever the gaffer wants me to play, I just need to improve on it - I'm trying my best."
