Jaya Bachchan blames internet for 'anxiety attacks' among Gen Z: 'You get your validation from what you see on...'
Jaya Bachchan, the veteran actress and politician, has never minced her words when it comes to conveying her opinion. One of the episodes of her granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda's podcast, What The Hell Navya, recently surfaced on social media, where she held the internet responsible for the anxiety attacks among young people and Gen Z.
'Navya, what happens among your generation is that 'answer to the calls quickly, reply to texts quickly'. You get your validation from what you see on the internet and your phone," the _Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani_ actress said.

'Are we looking nice? Are we thinking correctly? If you are saying the right thing? All this increases your stress levels," she added.
When her granddaughter questioned whether her generation is more stressed because of the internet, Jaya replied, 'Definitely," adding, 'We hadn't heard of an anxiety attack when we were kids. Let alone our childhood, we never heard it in our midlife also."
As per Jaya, the rise of anxiety attacks among the young generation is because of 'too much information" about looks and appearance, beauty routines, and social comparison.
However, Jaya's daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, countered and said that anxiety always existed, but the awareness among the audience about it has now reached. 'Anxiety was always there. It's now more identifiable. It's more spoken about," said Shweta.

It's not just about recording an event, it's about narrating a journey. But what's behind this shift, and what does it really take to turn real-life moments into cinematic magic? 'Unlike traditional wedding photography, which often focuses on posed portraits and formal documentation, cinematic photography is all about candid moments, atmospheric visuals, and creating a timeless visual story,' explained Ketan Sharma, a wedding photographer. Our superpower is empathy; we try to understand each couple's energy and blend into the background to capture natural moments. We always tell them to have fun. The best visuals happen when couples are genuinely enjoying themselves,' they said. 'Absolutely,' said Dutta. 'Wedding photography has become a breeding ground for innovation and originality. Most couples come to us with a clear idea of what they want, and it's rarely something they've already seen. They're always chasing uniqueness. It keeps us on our toes.' 'Honestly, as a Gen Z couple ourselves, we strongly relate to the to-be-weds we speak to when they say they would want to enjoy their wedding day and would want moments captured in a way that feels spontaneous, intimate, and timeless.
