‘Donald Trump's presidency is so bad, its unbelievable,' says Jimmy Kimmel before sharing plans of moving to Italy
It seems like no love has been lost between talk show hosts and President Donald Trump, as Jimmy Kimmel continues his onslaught of the president and his run in the office. The bashing is usually a part of the opening monologue he delivers during his talk show, but this time he shared his thoughts on Trump during an appearance on ex-beau Sarah Silverman's podcast. Kimmel shared how he has an exit plan for whenever things get too tough during the Trump reign and confirmed that he has in fact obtained the citizenship of Italy. He said, 'I did get Italian citizenship. What's going on [with Trump] is as bad as you thought it was going to be. It's so much worse; it's just unbelievable. I feel like it's probably even worse than he would like it to be.' Jimmy Kimmel is already on the radar of President Donald Trump, as he promised that his show will be the next to go off air, after CBS cancelled the next season of the Late Show hosted by Stephen Colbert. ALSO READ: Stephen Colbert slams Donald Trump's India tariffs, warns it will hurt Americans: 'Never a great sign to be compared to…' In the wake of his show getting cancelled, Stephen Colbert makes it a point to talk about whatever Donald Trump has been up to throughout the week, and with the president commenting about which female celebrity is hot and which isn't, Colbert never has to dig too deep to poke fun at him. If Jimmy Kimmel's show does get cancelled, and he decides to leave the country, he will be joining names like Rosie O'Donnell and Ellen DeGeneres, who have already packed their rucksacks and moved someplace else. Even though he is ready to take such major steps, Kimmel admitted that he has no problem with the people who supported President Trump during his election against Kamala Harris. He clarified that he doesn't want to bash people on the basis of who they support and said, 'The door has to stay open. If you want to change your mind, that's so hard to do. If you want to admit you were wrong, that is so hard and so rare to do. You are welcome to do so.' Donald Trump has now been attacked by several comedians, talk show hosts, actors, and showrunners of Hollywood for many of his actions, affiliations and the comments he has made while in office.

New H-1B proposal to possibly replace lottery clears White House review: What it means, what's next?
The new H-1B proposal has got cleared by a White House department. The proposal will possibly replace H-1B lottery with wage-based selection. A new H-1B proposal, drafted by the Department of Homeland Security, to possibly replace the visa lottery, was approved by a key White House office, Bloomberg reported. The proposal may get public release soon now that it has cleared a White House office, the report said. The administration did not reveal what is in the proposal but it's believed that the proposals are mostly the same as the first Trump administration proposed for the selection of H-1B petitions. The Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs cleared the rule on August 8, Bloomberg reported. H-1B program, visa lottery, wage-based selection The H-1B is a visa program that allows US tech companies to hire foreigners. Every year, 85,000 slots are approved for H-1B. A random lottery is conducted each spring through which employers are selected to move ahead with their petitions. The lottery was brought into the system to eliminate the possibility of any bias toward any particular tech company. But the first Trump administration wanted to base the allocation of H-1B slots on the wages of the roles so that tech companies only hire the high-wage foreigners for their high-skill roles. The role was withdrawn by the Biden administration and the businesses, immigration groups opposed it and said it would restrict the number of H-1Bs. Wage level National average Entry $83K Qualified $108K Experienced $127K Fully competent $151K If the new rule indeed changes the selection to wage-based, then H-1Bs will be hired only for groups 3 and 4. This will protect entry-level jobs for Americans but getting a job in the US will become difficult for foreign graduates. This will lead to a major H-1B shake-up, one that MAGA activists have been demanding to protect American jobs. For this change, there will be no need for Congress approval as if the proposal does not involve changing the H-1B cap; the DHS and the USCIS can notify the new rules.
