Gerwyn Price reveals US Darts Masters 'pinch me' moment in New York
The Iceman and his family get stunning sight in New York
Stunned Gerwyn Price reckons it's a pinch-me moment for him and his family to be up on Times Square billboards as he gets ready for the US Darts Masters.
The Welsh star is amongst the PDC elite gunning for glory in New York as the World Series heads for the United States.
Price savours being part of the darts action and says it's a special feeling to be with family as he appears at such a famous setting as Madison Square Gardens alongside the likes of Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen.
He explained: 'I'm enjoying New York and ready to go. It's an iconic and a unique venue and for someone like myself from a little small village in Markham, an ex-rugby player who never really knew about darts 20 years ago, to be playing in one of these magnificent venues, it's a pinch me moment and it's nice to be involved in every time that they've been here as well.
'Me, my wife, my daughter and her boyfriend walking around and you see your face flash up, to be in Times Square and see that is definitely a pinch me moment.
"Hopefully there's many more years to come where I'll be here in New York City and in every other part of the World Series events as well."
Speaking to Online Darts, he added: "I'm not one who wants to go and watch, go sightseeing all the time, for me, once you've seen it once, that's enough, but my wife absolutely loves it out here, don't get me wrong, I love it out here, but, Vegas is a little bit better.'
Price wants the crown in the States as he gears up for a strong end to the campaign and the hunt for another World title.
He added: 'The back end of the year, usually when the Premier League's over, I find my best stuff. I think I need to start playing in more Pro Tours because that's probably what gets me sharp.
'I was a little bit gutted last year. It was a tournament I threw away. I'm back here again which is nice. It's great to have the invite and hopefully lift the trophy.
'I've won in every country just not in America. I'm playing well enough and enjoying my darts. I'm enjoying travelling so fingers crossed it all comes together.
'It's difficult throughout the Premier League trying to balance everything. I think going from the Premier League to ProTour events and Europeans. But I have been a lot more positive this year which has definitely helped.
'I just need to find my best form when the Premier League is behind us, so fingers crossed that is what will happen the rest of this week and the year. It is tough being in the Premier League. It has not been great to me the last couple of years.
'I've been a bit too down on myself when I have been travelling but this year, I am a lot more positive. Not just for myself but off the fans and everything which is good.'

Manchester City destroy Juve to top group at Club World Cup
ORLANDO, Florida, June 26 (Reuters) - Manchester City secured top spot in Group G of the Club World Cup with a 5-2 thrashing of Juventus on Thursday, exposing the Serie A side's defensive frailties in emphatic fashion. With both teams already through to the knockout stage, City underlined their status as title favourites by becoming the only team to finish the group phase with three wins, showing flashes of their brilliant selves. Pep Guardiola's side finished three points clear of Juventus, who will face the winners of Group H in the last 16. Real Madrid can clinch that group later on Thursday with a win over RB Salzburg. Both Salzburg and Al-Hilal, who face already-eliminated Pachuca, remain in contention for qualification. City took the lead early through Jeremy Doku, who finished a precise move set up by a superb through pass from new signing Rayan Ait-Nouri. Juventus responded quickly, capitalising on a mistake from City goalkeeper Ederson, whose poor clearance allowed Teun Koopmeiners to pounce, and the Dutch midfielder made no mistake, driving in the equaliser. City regained the lead in the 26th minute when Matheus Nunes delivered a low cross into the box from the right. Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu, under little pressure, deflected the ball into his own net past a helpless Michele Di Gregorio. The Premier League side added another with a third goal from Erling Haaland. After a quick break, Nunes again provided the assist, threading a pass into Haaland's path for the Norwegian forward to bundle the ball over the line from close range. Phil Foden put the result beyond doubt in the 69th minute, poking the ball home after Savinho tapped Haaland's low cross into his path. Savinho rubbed salt in Juve's wounds when the ball fell to him at the edge of the box and he crashed a thunderous effort in off the crossbar. Dusan Vlahovic reduced the arrears six minutes from time but it was way too little, and much too late for Juve.

Erling Haaland hits 300th goal in Manchester City rout of Juventus at Club World Cup
Erling Haaland's 300th career strike graced this canter of a victory, while Savinho's 75th-minute peach lit up a Manchester City display that will be noted by the other big guns aiming to claim the inaugural 32-team Club World Cup. The Brazilian's 20-yard shot pinballed off the bar to make it 5-1 and confirm that Juventus would lose and finish second. So while Pep Guardiola's men remain in search of their smoothest rhythms, topping Group G is a fine feat and whoever they face here on Monday will not relish their task. City were awaiting the later conclusion of Real Madrid's group to discover their last-16 opponents, who will kickoff against them at the cooler time of 9pm on Monday. For the attempt to beat Juve and register a perfect three wins from three games, Rodri was handed a first start since last September's draw with Arsenal in which he suffered the ACL injury that ruled him out until the season's closing minutes. Missing from the XI of those with a case to be included were Phil Foden, Erling Haaland and (perhaps) Rayan Cherki. Then you saw the temperature gauge showing 31C and remembered their manager's words about the stinging heat affecting his selection. City, who finished third in the Premier League, 13 points behind Liverpool, took on Juve, whose fourth place 12 points behind the champions, Napoli, was a similar margin. Until combat was joined who might be ascendant seemed uncertain. It proved to be City in the opening half. In a combination that became familiar, Jérémy Doku and Rayan Aït-Nouri danced along the left, the latter crossed, and Bernardo Silva, twice, failed to beat Michele Di Gregorio. Here was a dry run for City's opener. Rodri, strolling about knitting play, tapped to Aït-Nouri who slipped in Doku along the same channel: a sidestep created time and the cleanly struck finish gave Di Gregorio no chance. But City's advantage was cancelled out immediately by a careless Ederson, whose simple pass to a colleague found, instead, Teun Koopmeiners who pounced and beat City's No 1, whose cheeks went as pink as his strip. It was as clownish as Pierre Kalulu's contribution when City regained the lead. A lightning Matheus Nunes run was located by Savinho. The right-back zipped the ball in. And Kalulu with no opponent near, panicked and turned the ball in. An own goal, sure, but one forced by a sharper City edge than previously witnessed in the tournament. Their 60-65% possession count was potent: Aït-Nouri , Doku, Nunes and Omar Marmoush, at centre-forward, swapped zones across City's front to cause havoc, the latter's pirouette-then-shot an illustration. Tijjani Reijnders, from deep, joined in too, serving a slicing ball to Savinho who cut inside but dribbled tamely at Di Gregorio. Then, a serious downpour to cool all. The broiled crowd appreciated it as much as the footballers though the concern in Orange County can be dangerous electrical storms that halt games. But the rain abated, and Marmoush's fierce shot, tipped around a post by Di Gregorio, closed the half. Sign up to Football Daily Kick off your evenings with the Guardian's take on the world of football after newsletter promotion Now, Haaland entered – for Marmoush – and a better-timed stab at Savinho's cross would have made it 3-1 seconds into the second half. The miss spoke of a player who had scored only once from open play in 10 previous City appearances. But the statistic became two in 11 soon enough, and completed the Norwegian's landmark third century. Nunes, again, was provider, his sprint along the right this time spotted by Reijnders. The Portuguese rolled to Haaland who miskicked yet City's third bobbled in, with Di Gregorio stranded. The 24-year-old's second of the competition had his team cruising. Juve had faded as any kind of force. The contest continued to take part in their half. On 65 minutes Rodri was taken off – his coming through unscathed a certifiable bonus – and on came Ilkay Gündogan, plus Foden for the effervescent Doku. Guardiola's move became seer-like as City's fourth was scored by Foden. Haaland galloped through an inside-right zone, passed, Savinho pinged to the No 47, who, near-in, collected his second of this Club World Cup calmly. Vlahovic's late finish will have annoyed Guardiola – but not for long.

Juventus 2-5 Man City: The Old Lady powerless to withstand a City storm as Pep Guardiola's side thunder into Club World Cup last-16 as group winners
Manchester City laid down a marker at the Club World Cup by hammering Italian giants Juventus 5-2 in Orlando. Pep Guardiola 's side required victory in their final group game to advance to the last-16 as group winners and avoid a likely match-up with Real Madrid in the next round. The City boss warned fans of the blistering temperatures expected at the Camping World Stadium pre-match and the extreme Florida conditions even saw a storm pass overhead towards the end of the first half. But, in reality, it was the Premier League side that created conditions Juve were unable to withstand. Jeremy Doku set the tone with a clinical finish in ninth minute and though Ederson 's wayward pass allowed Juve to equalise two minutes later, Guardiola's men were never in danger. An own goal from Pierre Kalulu restored City's lead before the break before efforts from Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Savinho after the interval put City out of sight. Dusan Vlahovic grabbed a consolation goal for the Italian giants, who will join City in the knockouts, late on. More to follow.
