Celebrity Big Brother fans convinced JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes have a secret code to say 'I love you' amid their close friendship

Daily Mail29-04-2025
JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes have been using a secret code to say 'I love you' following their exit from the Celebrity Big Brother house, fans have claimed.
The pair raised eyebrows with their very close bond during their time on the reality show, before spending the first weekend after their exit enjoying 'Sunday massages' and walks in the park.
The Dance Moms star, 21, then headed back to Los Angeles on Monday night to reunite with her mother Jessalyn following her memorable visit to the UK.
But viewers have suggested JoJo and Chris's time in the iconic house was enough for them to form their own special code to communicate their feelings for one another.
Responding to a TikTok posted by This Morning, in which the duo were asked who they would choose to spend a day with in the Big Brother House, many fans noticed they both have a persistent habit of tapping each other twice.
With fans convinced it had a hidden meaning, comments included: 'Does anyone else think that them double tapping each other is code to say I love you? They do it a lot';
'The two little taps they gave each other at the end!!! Bet they're code for 'love you'';
'lol there's a lot of tapping going on'; 'You are on to something.';
'I thought I was the only one who realised those constant taps, like some secret code'; 'It's defo code.';
'Omg and the last one with his index is like clearly intentioned to be twice'; 'Just watched that back and it's 100% code for love you';
'Yes!!! They do it several times throughout'; 'Yes!!! They do it several times throughout.'
During the interview, JoJo tapped Chris, 32, twice on the shoulder before he did the same on her leg and she repeated the move again.
When asked about her dream Big Brother housemate, she said: 'Fairly obvious we would pick each other.'
JoJo, who came third on the show to Jack P Shepherd and Danny Beard, was left in tears following her return to LA on Monday.
Sharing a video compilation of her best bits in the Big Brother house, the star took to Instagram with a very emotional message.
She began: 'Quite emotional today as I've landed back in LA, saying goodbye to the U.K., and one of my favorite things that I've ever done in my life.
'The last 20 days I've faced some of the highest highs and lowest lows and it's so crazy to think that all of them were public, but it's honestly quite a beautiful thing.'
However Chris and her other housemates aren't the only thing JoJo is missing as she joked she 'would give anything to have a Shepherd's Pie'.
Chatting with her mum on her Instagram Stories, she said the pair were deciding what to have for dinner and her mother had said she could have anything she wanted.
JoJo said: 'Genuinely I would give anything right now to have a Shepherd's Pie, a sausage roll, a cheese and onion pasty.'
And the star wasn't left disappointed as she later shared a picture of the pair's feast including fish and chips, sausage rolls, Shepherd's Pie, sprouts and pie and gravy.
They also indulged in some Jaffa Cakes and sticky toffee pudding for dessert as she celebrated her exit from the house.
She also gave a special tribute to the show's winner Jack as she shared a snap of English Breakfast tea before penning: 'Miss u @jackpshepherd'.
JoJo went on an emotional rollercoaster during her time in the house and even opened up about her sexuality, admitting that she now identifies as queer.
After leaving the house, she gushed: 'So very grateful for the love and support I received from you while I was in the house.
'Being so vulnerable and not know what the world will do or say was scary, but coming out of the house and seeing the absolute outpour of love and support that happened while I was in there was just wild and made me cry with tears of happiness.
'It makes me very emotional and just means so much. Thank you❤️'
'I've learned so much about my self in the Big Brother House and wouldn't change a thing about the journey. I wish I could go back in time and live it over and over again,' she added.
Paying tribute to her housemates, she went on: 'To my perfectly dysfunctional functional family from inside the house…. Gosh do I love you guys.
'Thank you for becoming family, for all the good cooking, all the good chats, every laugh, every dance step, every hug, every cry, everything.
'This wouldn't have been the same with any other people, so happy to have you all in my life forever now.
'Special shout to Christopher, Jack, Donna [Preston], Chesatron [Chesney Hawkes], and Danny… my sweetest fellow finalists, getting to know you all the most, I'm gonna miss the absolute ship out of you.
'I'd cry to hear one more time 'STOP IT' from Donna, one more Rat song from Jack, one more hug from chesatron, one more song from Danny, and one more 'mmmm' from Chris.
'When it was the six of us it really felt like a home, I'll never forget the people you are and how much I love you guys.'
Coming to an emotional conclusion she finished: 'Been crying while trying to write this message so I'm gonna end it now, but truly an absolutely amazing time that I have nothing but the most love and gratitude for. Thank you again. Love Joelle'.
JoJo and Chris have since insisted their relationship is platonic after sparking speculation with their close relationship in the house.
Meanwhile JoJo's ex Kath Ebbs took to Instagram on Saturday as they broke their silence and revealed that JoJo ended their relationship at the CBB wrap afterparty on Friday night.
During their appearance on This Morning on Monday, JoJo confirmed she'd be leaving the UK despite previously hinting at her desire to stay.
'I leave tonight, well today I leave in an hour' she said mournfully, to which Chris replied: 'Sad times' and branded the news 'heartbreak hotel'.
Earlier in the interview the pair confirmed their relationship as a 'platonic soul mate friendship' following weeks of speculation.
He said: 'Our friendship is, it's hard to explain. It's just a really strong bond. A strong friendship. You can have a soul mate friendship. I think that's a thing.'
Host Ben Shephard asked if she wanted anything more, to which JoJo said: 'Look, he's a great guy. It's platonic. We have a lot of fun together. I don't know the future, whatever life does, it will do.'
JoJo also revealed more details about her split from former partner Kath, saying: 'Honestly when I went into the house, day one was fun, day two fun, but then day three I was in my own thoughts, away from everyone I know and outside opinions.
'I sat with myself and really realised things I was okay with in my life I never should have been okay with. So many things.
'Obviously I wanted to hold them inside, didn't want to air it out publicly. There were things I knew I shouldn't be okay with and I'm not happy.
'I knew as soon as I got out I wanted to fix things and make the changes I needed to make.
'The first thing you want to do is exactly what you need to make it as good as you can.'
Recounting how the pair ended things at the show's wrap party, she elaborated: 'I'll be honest, that was not a plan or my intention. It wasn't supposed to happen like that'.
'They weren't going to come, then an hour into the party they attended, one thing lead to another, they asked if I was happy and I said no. The conversation took place there.'

Michael Barrymore reveals epilepsy journey diagnosed after a series of mini strokes

Michael Barrymore reached out to fans for support in a heartbreaking TikTok video in which the comedian and TV presenter told of his mini strokes and "uncontrollable seizures" Veteran TV presenter Michael Barrymore has been diagnosed with epilepsy at 73 - after experiencing a mini stroke. ‌ The host, known for his work on game shows and light entertainment programmes, told fans on TikTok about his "uncontrollable seizures" which have happened as a result of his epilepsy. Epilepsy, a tendency to have repeated seizures which start in the brain, is often diagnosed in younger years but Michael said he has developed it in his 70s. ‌ And the star, who headlined the Royal Variety Performance in 1993, thanked fans for their support. In his emotional TikTok, Michael said: "A mini stroke caused me to develop epilepsy where I have uncontrollable seizures... I suffer from cluster seizures, which affects a quarter of people with epilepsy. It means I have more than one, usually three individual seizures in a short period of time." ‌ Carer dodges jail after performing sex act on disabled man at tourist attraction Now Michael, who grew up in Bermondsey, southeast London, must take emergency medication if he goes into a seizure. He continued: "It's scary because there's a 40% chance of going into epilepticus which causes brain damage and death without prompt medical attention. "I've had several attacks this year and have emergency medication at home if I go into a seizure. It doesn't really affect my life otherwise, but it would be nice to talk with other sufferers on here about it." The entertainer, an unlikely icon for Gen Z with his TikToks and vlogs, shared a series of photographs of himself in hospital. His video has been watched widely across TikTok and may users have left Michael messages of support. Michael's stint on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006 - during which he came runner-up to model Chantelle Houghton - was his first major TV gig since his dismissal from ITV in 2003. This came following the death of Stuart Lubbock in 2001 following a party at Michael's home in Essex. But since the controversy, Michael has become extremely popular with Gen Z, particularly through his use of TikTok. He used it last year to poke fun at himself and he reflect on his past while celebrating his birthday. Yet the host, who also presented Kids Say the Funniest Things, has said in recent interviews the 2001 tragedy still affects him. In fact, last year, Michael left the UK for Spain to "change his life for the better". This is despite Michael never being charged in connection with 31-year-old Mr Lubbock's death, and there is no suggestion of wrongdoing on Michael's part.
