
Saudi Arabia participates at London Book Fair
RIYADH: The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission is preparing to lead Saudi Arabia's participation at the London Book Fair 2025, which will take place from March 11-13 at the Olympia Exhibition Center in the UK capital.
The participation aims to strengthen cultural relations and knowledge exchange between Saudi Arabia and the UK, as well as to enrich cooperation in literature, publishing and translation. It also seeks to enhance the presence of Saudi publishing houses and literary agencies in major cultural events both regionally and globally.
By leading Saudi Arabia's participation in international book fairs, the commission aims to provide a platform for Saudi publishers and literary agents to connect with global publishing houses. This contributes to fostering knowledge exchange and exposing publishers and literary agents to international publishing experiences, driven by a belief in the importance of communication between the local and global publishing sectors and its impact on developing the cultural sector and enriching Arabic content.

Mansour Al-Mushaiti attended the signing of 11 agreements welcoming new members to the Saudi AgriFood Tech Alliance (SAFTA) during his participation in GreenTech Amsterdam 2025, as part of an official visit to the Netherlands. A memorandum of understanding was also signed with the Netherlands Water Partnership and the Dutch Water Alliance to join the Saudi Water Innovation Alliance initiative. These partnerships represent a significant step forward in Saudi-Dutch cooperation, particularly in advancing food security and promoting sustainable agricultural technologies. SAFTA serves as a national platform that connects local and international partners to support research and development, accelerate the adoption of advanced technological solutions, and enable the Kingdom's agricultural sector to implement global best practices in smart farming, environmental sustainability, and high-quality food production.

Saudi Arabia, Netherlands Sign Agreements in Environmental, Agricultural Fields
Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands have signed multiple agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening cooperation in the fields of environment, water, and agriculture. These agreements, involving both public and private sector entities from both countries, include investments totaling more than SAR 428 million. The funds will be directed toward developing and localizing advanced technologies in these critical sectors. The signings took place during the visit of Saudi Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al Mushaiti, to the Netherlands from June 10 to 12. A total of 27 agreements and MoUs were formalized in the presence of senior ministry officials and representatives from Saudi and Dutch organizations.
