Saudi Arabia launches pavilion at Muscat International Book Fair
RIYADH: The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission has inaugurated Saudi Arabia's pavilion at the 2025 Muscat International Book Fair, which is running until May 3. Abdullatif Al-Wasel, CEO of the commission, in a statement, said of the event which started on Thursday: 'The Saudi participation reflects the deep cultural bonds between Saudi Arabia and Oman. 'The commission seeks to strengthen collaboration in literature, publishing and translation fields, highlighting the cultural vitality and knowledge advancement flourishing in both nations.' Al-Wasel said the fair creates significant opportunities for the book industry by connecting Saudi Arabia's publishers with their international counterparts. The participants at the fair include the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives, and the King Abdulaziz Public Library. Also present are the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur'an, the Publishing Association, and Taibah University. The participation aligns with Saudi Arabia's efforts to enhance cultural ties with Oman while promoting cultural-sector investment opportunities, Al-Wasel stated. The Kingdom's pavilion will feature a program of literary seminars, panel discussions, and poetry evenings featuring prominent Saudi Arabia intellectuals and writers.

Literature, Publishing & Translation Commission Inaugurates Saudi Pavilion at Muscat Book Fair
The Saudi Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission inaugurated the Kingdom's pavilion at the Muscat International Book Fair 2025, which is taking place at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center on April 24-May 3, with the participation of 35 countries and 674 publishing houses. The commission is leading the Kingdom's participation in the fair with several prominent cultural and educational bodies, including the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah), the King Abdulaziz Public Library, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex, and Taibah University. This is part of the Kingdom's efforts to strengthen cultural relations with the Sultanate of Oman and promote investment opportunities, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Riyadh pavilion showcases Saudi literary, cultural diversity at Argentina book fair
RIYADH: The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission launched the Riyadh pavilion at the 49th Buenos Aires International Book Fair in Argentina. Running from April 22 to May 12, the event features the Kingdom's capital as guest of honor, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Riyadh's selection highlights the city's growing role in the global cultural scene, as well as its commitment to fostering dialogue, embracing diversity, and using culture as a bridge for human connection and knowledge exchange. Saudi delegation includes representatives from the Theater and Performing Arts Commission, the Heritage Commission, and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. The King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex, King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives, King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, King Abdulaziz Public Library, and King Fahad National Library are also taking part. The Riyadh pavilion boosts Saudi cultural presence in Latin America, presenting the capital as a model of civilization aligned with Vision 2030. It features diverse literary and cultural content, including Spanish translations to foster cross-cultural understanding. The launch was attended by Literature Commission CEO Abdullatif Alwasel, Buenos Aires Chief of Government Jorge Macri, Minister of Culture Gabriela Ricardes, and Fundacion El Libro President Christian Rainone. During the fair, the Heritage Commission will highlight the richness of Saudi cultural heritage through global promotion and awareness efforts. Its program includes live artisan demonstrations, panel discussions, and displays of archaeological replicas, along with publications documenting the Kingdom's cultural legacy. The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language is showcasing recent publications, including scientific books and research journals, emphasizing its role in enhancing linguistic knowledge.
