It's scary just how relatable Sydney Jo's TikTok series is.The 27-year-old content creator from New York posted her first video, about friends communicating in a group chat, back in March. She told me me her social media account has blown up since then.We see the girls bicker, talk in side chats, and send passive aggressive messages to each other, something Sydney said is "a universal experience"."My friends, work colleagues and sisters all had similar stories about their texts and group chats," she said. "This is something that's only going to continue, as we start having bachelorettes and weddings."Sydney says she filmed the first episode hungover on a Sunday morning.But as her followers rocketed from 264,000 to 1.6 million in just a few months, she now has a huge fan base, with Today calling her series "the internet's favourite show".With season three now out, Sydney said we can expect more camaraderie, more feel good moments, but also more shared common enemies.She also hinted there could be a boys' group chat series next. "I didn't anticipate the male audience I would draw. I had a 50-year-old dad recognise me recently," she said.

James Gunn's hotly awaited reboot of Superman, a film that Hollywood is hoping can break the plague of "superhero fatigue", is out on Friday.American actor David Corenswet, 31, plays the Man of Steel in the movie that's intended to kick-start a new era for DC Studios, which writer-director Gunn and producer Peter Safran took over in 2022.Corenswet, who has previously appeared in TV series The Politician, Hollywood and We Own This City, is the fourth person to play the role in a major Superman movie, and the first for a decade.It also stars Rachel Brosnahan as the latest Lois Lane and British actor Nicholas Hoult as a bald and menacing Lex Luthor.DC has struggled to find major hits in recent years, with films like Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman 1984 and Joker: Folie à Deux - part of the wider DC stable - each earning less than $60m (£48m) at the North American box office.So there's a lot of anticipation to see how this film does - and to drum up excitement, a life-like Superman figure was seen suspended at the top of The Shard in London earlier this week as part of a one-day-only installation.

Well you're almost certainly not as good as the professional players heading to Saudi Arabia for the Esports World Cup, which starts on Tuesday.Over seven weeks, the best in the world will compete for a record combined prize pot of $70m (£50m).Now in its second year, the EWC brings together 25 different esports into one event. That means games fighting games like Tekken 8, first person shooters such as Call of Duty, and battle arena juggernauts Dota 2 and League of Legends, will all be there.The format has encouraged some consolidation in the esports world, because the Club Competition encourages teams to field players in as many different games as possible. The team with the most points at the end gets a bonus $7m (£5m).Some fans and players haven't been keen on the EWC though. It's been criticised for taking place in a country where women have fewer rights and being gay is illegal. Others say only with Saudi Arabia's cash can esports grow and compete with traditional multi-sport events like the Olympics.
Finding the next football pundit
On Monday, a new BBC competition series to find the next football pundit starts on iPlayer as well as on BBC YouTube and TikTok channels.Fronted by footballing legend Troy Deeney and YouTuber and presenter James Allcott, Last Pundit Standing follows 12 football fanatics as they compete to become BBC Sport's next big football content creator.Think the X-Factor meets the beautiful game, as they face a series of kick-off challenges in their bid to land their dream job.There will also be star guests, including Alex Scott, Rebecca Welch and Max Fosh, on hand to set tasks and offer expert insight.The seven-part competition series comes shortly after Gary Lineker left the broadcaster after apologising for sharing an antisemitic social media post.In May, he was presented with a commemorative cap and golden boot by pundits Alan Shearer and Micah Richards as he signed off from his final edition of Match of the Day after 26 years in the hot seat.

Marvel star Chris Pratt is backing Robert F Kennedy Jr. in his quest to 'Make America Healthy Again' after marrying into his family and spending one-on-one time with him. The A-list actor, who has often sought unity in divided political times, is married to actress Katherine Schwarzenegger, a cousin by marriage to RFK Jr. In an appearance on Club Random, Pratt told Bill Maher - who counts Kennedy as a friend and has had him on both his talk show and his podcast - that there are parts of the 'MAHA' agenda he loves and that he wishes him well in his efforts. 'I hope there are certain things that he oversees that seem to be supported in a bipartisan way, like getting terrible, toxic stuff out of our kids' food. I think that's a great thing. And so, like, just - if you just do that, that's amazing.' He adds that when spending time with Kennedy he's willing to listen and hear him out but while he doesn't always assume everything RFK Jr. is saying is true, he refuses to hate the HHS Secretary. 'I'd hate to be so mired in hatred for the president that any success from his administration is something I'd have an allergic reaction to. To be like, 'Oh, well, if they do it, I don't want it to happen. I'll put Clorox in my children's cereal myself.' 'You know, it's like, come on, be reasonable here. There's certain things that would be a good thing to have. I want them all to be successful,' Pratt said. Maher agreed that Kennedy was a great guy, saying he loves him but has some advice for his work in Washington. 'I love him. I don't agree with everything, but I agree with, like, the overall view that what makes us sick is the toxicity,' Maher said. 'When he was here, I said my advice to you is like you need to marry your former life more with what you're doing now. Your former life, you were very admired as an environmental lawyer.' Despite the outsized caricature of Kennedy as a conspiracy theorist, Maher flatly denies he's out of the ordinary. 'And he's not crazy. I mean the people trying to – he's also got, like I said to him when he was here, 'I don't agree with everything you said, and I don't think your father would either, but your father would be so proud that you stuck to your guns like more than anybody,' he told the actor 'I mean this guy, when this guy believes something you cannot move him off of it with your bribes. That's for better and worse,' Maher added. This wouldn't be the first time the former Parks & Recreation standout Pratt bucked liberal Hollywood. The Marvel star, 45, came under fire for the essay he shared ahead of the presidential election, which saw Donald Trump defeat Democrat Kamala Harris and make a historic return to the White House. Writing for his mother-in-law Maria Shriver's website Sunday Paper, Pratt disappointed fans with his neutrality, claiming he wanted to remind people that whoever the winner of the election is 'we are fellow countrymen'. In his essay, he wrote: 'It's OK to take a moment to lick your wounds when you lose. Heck, go ahead and cry in the mirror. 'But if we become too paralyzed by defeat or too pompous in victory, allegiance to our 'team' can blind us to the fact that we are fellow countrymen.' Multiple users on Reddit slammed Pratt, saying the actor's relatively noncommittal political statement came off as vapid and low-value. It appeared his statement landed just days after his father-in-law, and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said he would vote for Kamala Harris.

Mila Kunis says she barely ate to prep for Black Swan
has revealed that while working on Black Swan, she barely ate. The actress, 42, said in an interview with her co-star, Natalie Portman, and director, Darren Aronofsky, she ate very little while filming the 2010 film. She told Vogue: 'My prep was a lot of dancing and very little eating - which I know you're not supposed to say, but it's the truth.' Mila continued: 'I drank a lot of broth and danced for 12 hours a day.' The star said there was only supposed to be three months of prep before filming started, but 'we lost some financing, so that got extended to six months while Darren tried to find money'. She continued: 'It sucked for Darren, but Nat and I were so happy because we had three extra months to dance.' The movie was made on a budget of just $13million, and, once production began, was shot in 42 days. Natalie, 44, revealed: 'We didn't have any rehearsals beyond the dancing. 'One of the most surprising side effects of doing the physical training was that I ended up spending a year talking extensively to my trainer, who was a former New York City Ballet dancer and told me hours of stories that gave so much color and insight into that world. 'It was like doing investigative journalism, but I was just gossiping with her while doing pliés.' Mila added: 'We would shoot those dancing scenes for hours, and I had bruises all over my ribs just from being lifted over and over. 'I also dislocated my shoulder pretty early in the production and thought I was completely screwed, but Darren sent me to an acupuncturist and I somehow came out totally fine.' In the film, Nina [Natalie] become the lead dancer in the upcoming production of Swan Lake after the former prima ballerina was forced to retire. Lily [Mila] is a promising dancer, who offers some competition for Nina as she struggles to hold on to the lead. The women say Darren, 56, tried to create a similar tension between them, even though Natalie had recommended Mila for the job. 'Darren would tell me, "Nat is working really, really hard. She's not even taking Saturdays and Sundays off",' Mila said. 'Then I would text Nat and she'd be like, "No, I'm not?" I think that's how we figured out what Darren was up to, but it was all in good fun.' Darren explained: 'My take is that I was trying to be a sneaky director and make them argue. 'Mila and Natalie both realized very quickly what I was doing and made fun of me, so it quickly became a joke that we all understood. 'They're both very clever and were instantly privy to whatever trick I was playing.' He added his goal was to help the actors get in character. When the cameras weren't rolling, Mila said the director was 'a really kind, lovely guy', detailing how he took them to 'see Twilight one time' because they had the day off.
