
Man, 20, arrested after teen dies in crash involving car and lorry
A man has been arrested after a teenager died following a crash between a lorry and a car in West Lothian.
Emergency services were called to Boghead Roundabout in Bathgate after a crash between a Volkswagen Polo and HGV at around 11.50pm on Monday, June 9.
A 17-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 20-year-old man, who was driving the car, and an 18-year-old female passenger were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries.
Police confirmed on Monday that the man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
He was released pending further investigation.
The circumstances surrounding the incident have been referred to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner.
