Riley McGree named in extended Socceroos squad for World Cup qualifiers
The 26-year-old will make his return to the international level after an injury-plagued 2025.
Head coach Tony Popovic also named four players to receive their first international call-up, including Paul Okon-Enstler – the son of veteran Socceroo Paul Okon.

Australia finish the third round of qualifiers against Japan in Perth on June 5 and away to Saudi Arabia five days later knowing two draws will be enough to reach next summer's World Cup finals.
'We've put ourselves in a good position within the group to be in control of our destiny,' Popovic said.
'We are ready to embrace this challenge with great respect of our opponents, though full of belief and confidence to achieve our goal of automatic qualification.
'We've had the opportunity to work with a large group of these players in a training camp in Abu Dhabi, which has been extremely beneficial both on and off the pitch. I look forward to welcoming the remainder of the squad into camp in Perth for what will be a great build-up and fantastic occasion at Perth Stadium.'
The Socceroos are guaranteed to advance into the fourth qualifying round should they fail to secure a top-two spot at this stage.

England midfielder Fran Kirby has announced her retirement from international football. The 31-year-old retires on the eve of the Lionesses' upcoming European Championship campaign – which begins in July – and finishes her career with 77 caps and 19 goals. 'I've played with incredible players, worked with some incredible managers, played in some amazing tournaments and have some irreplaceable memories. 'My journey has been full of ups and downs, setbacks and achievements. Enough has been said and written about those, but regardless of whatever was thrown at me, I want you all to know that every time I put on that England badge I gave 100 per cent. 'Every single call-up, I accepted my role and did whatever was needed for the team. I wanted England to win. I've always been there to help England win. Japanese baseball legend Shigeo Nagashima dies at 89
June 3 - Shigeo Nagashima, a Japanese Baseball Hall of Famer who spent more than three decades as a player and manager for the Yomiuri Giants, died Tuesday. He was 89. The Giants said Nagashima died of pneumonia at a Tokyo hospital. Nagashima won an impressive 11 Japan Series championships in his 17-year playing career, including nine straight from 1965-73. Nicknamed Mr. Giants and Mr. Professional Baseball, Nagashima played in 2,186 games for the club and was a career .305 batter who hit 444 home runs, 418 doubles and 74 triples while driving in 1,522 runs. He stole 190 bases and scored 1,270 runs. Shortly after his retirement, he was named the Giants' manager. He held the role from 1975-80 and was fired but returned as the manager from 1993-2001, leading the Giants to two championships in 1994 and 2000.
