The flooding has resulted in dozens of deaths, with many people still missing, including young girls from a Christian girls' camp in Hunt, Texas.

'There are no words to describe the devastation and heartbreak that has taken place in Texas. We have seen some of the most innocent lives lost to the unexpected flood waters that overcame the Guadalupe River. Communities been wiped out. Families have been torn apart,' said Josh Holland, international director of the BG-RRT. 'Our chaplains are already on the ground providing a ministry of presence at reunification sites. These crisis-trained volunteers and staff will be in Texas providing spiritual and emotional care to those affected as long as needed.'
In collaboration with Samaritan's Purse, the disaster relief organization will work to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those who have been affected.

Soon thereafter, his father told him what he had done was 'rude' and 'that when someone else is paying for your meal, you shouldn't order extra stuff if you won't be able to finish,' the man wrote. The man added that his father 'meant well' and was trying to teach him a lesson — but he did not take the advice well. They 'got into an argument and I offered to pay him back if it bothered him so much, and he said I was missing the point,' the man recalled. 'I didn't think it was that absurd to get a to-go box. There are a couple of different types, she explains, and it can be hard to figure out which one you're getting. Sometimes, they are even mislabeled when you buy them, which can cause more confusion. Asian Wisteria is invasive and aggressive, to the point where it can kill other species. "It can take down a tree," she said. Wisterias that are native to Texas are still aggressive, but they work better in the environment because they are integrated into the ecosystem. Asian Wisteria and the damage it can do is only one example of how invasive species can do damage. The City of Portland explains how these species can crowd out other species and reduce overall biodiversity in an area. If you want to take a stand against the damage invasive species can do, try rewilding your yard. If that won't work for you because of HOA laws or other issues, you can install native species instead. Things like clover or buffalo grass, if they are native to your area, will look great and not damage the earth. They'll save you money because they don't need as much water and fertilizer, and they protect the pollinators that protect our food chain, per the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Other TikTokers agreed with her warnings about these plants. "It's like kudzu. beautiful but greedy for space," one said. "I have been fighting wisteria for over 10 years. The main plant isn't even on my property. It's 30 ft away on the other side of the fence," someone else shared. "I supposedly bought a native species … and it turns out it was not," another added.
