
‘Mirage': First look of Jeethu Joseph's next, starring Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali, out
The makers of Malayalam filmmaker Jeethu Joseph's upcoming film, Mirage, starring Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali, unveiled the film's first look on Monday (June 23). Billed a a psychological thriller, the film is written by Jeethu along with Srinivas Abrol, based on a story by Aparna R Tarakad.
The first look poster, featuring the two leads with intense looks on their faces, was released with the tagline, 'You kept getting closer. And this time, it didn't fade'
The cast of Mirage also features Hakeem Shajahan, Deepak Parambol, Hannah Reji Koshy and Sampath Raj in pivotal roles. With music scored by Vishnu Shyam, the film has cinematography by Satheesh Kurup and editing by VS Vinayak.
Mirage is produced by Mukesh R Mehta, Jatin M Sethi and CV Sarathi under the E4 Entertainment production banner.
Notably, this marks the seventh collaboration between Asif and Aparna after Sunday Holiday, Thrissivaperoor Kliptham, B. Tech, 2018, Kaapa and the blockbusterKishkindha Kaandam. Asif and Jeethu, on the other hand, are teaming up after their critically acclaimed Kooman.

Police say there's clear evidence of fraud In the affidavit submitted as per the High Court's direction, the police stated that there is substantial evidence pointing to a deliberate financial fraud by the accused. The complainant, Siraj from Aroor, had invested Rs 7 crore in the project with the expectation of receiving profit shares. However, as per the claims of Siraj, neither his money nor any share of the profits was returned. The accused falsely convinced the investor, as per the police report, the first schedule of the film had been completed even before the shoot began. The authorities argue that this deception was a planned act to extract money under false pretenses. The report further says that not even a portion of the complainant's investment was returned by the production house, Parava Films.
