Range Energy Conducts Dynamics Testing of eTrailer System, Demonstrating Improved Safety and Performance Compared to Conventional Semi-Trucks
To safely conduct this testing, Range equipped its trailer with outriggers and anti-jackknife cables—key safety mechanisms that help prevent full tip-over during extreme tests such as J-turns and double lane changes. Range also evaluated traction control of the eAxle in straight-line acceleration and braking. These maneuvers were then repeated on wet test surfaces at TRC's facility. The testing comprised of over 400 dynamic maneuvers—including a wide range of speeds, payloads, and tractor configurations—to ensure Range's system integrates seamlessly with standard truck braking and stability systems while maintaining or improving performance in any real-world scenario. Compared to conventional trailers, the Range system intelligently engaged regenerative braking earlier in critical maneuvers, gently slowing the vehicle and reducing lateral force by up to 25 percent, enabling drivers to complete the same turn at the same speed more safely, avoiding loss of control or rollover.
'Testing under extreme conditions and with aggressive maneuvers is critical to prove the intelligence and reliability of our control systems in real-world conditions,' said Kyle Foley, Head of Engineering, Range Energy. 'From fine-tuning traction control and delivering precise stability interventions through regenerative braking, to ensuring seamless compatibility with today's truck brake systems, every element is designed to perform when it matters most. Testing at TRC goes beyond technical validation—it's about building trust. Because when you're moving freight, you're carrying important goods that drive modern life and society forward.'
Range's system is designed to work with a variety of trucks including diesel and electric semi-trucks, requiring no modification to the tow vehicle. The system significantly enhances the efficiency, safety, and vehicle dynamics for fleets, in addition to offering a sustainable pathway for commercial trucking operations at large.

The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 SEL and Calligraphy Both Traveled Over 300 MIles
In our test, the SEL model (seen above in red) traveled 366 miles on a single charge, well beyond the EPA's estimate of 320 miles. The Calligraphy model has an EPA estimate of 311 miles, but in our hands, it achieved 349 miles on a single charge. The SEL overachieved by 46 miles, or 14.25%, while the Calligraphy model bested its EPA number by 38 miles, or 12.2%. Both cars were tested on the same day in the same weather conditions. The average temperature was 74 degrees ambient, nearly perfect weather to maximize a big battery's efficiency. It's also worth noting that the 4.9% difference between the two cars in our test results is more than the 2.9% difference between the two range figures estimated by the EPA. But why did one outperform the EPA by more than the other? To remove as many variables as possible, every single EV we test must be driven and operated in the same way. The rules dictate our test drivers stick to a 60/40 split of highway and city driving, respectively. The air conditioning is set to auto at 72 degrees to measure how well the car manages energy use to cool itself down, especially on hot summer days (and to eliminate any variance in driver preference). Additionally, both cars followed the exact same routes at the exact same time of day, so both faced the same traffic patterns too.

BluE Nexus, Aisin and Denso supply eAxle for Isuzu D-Max EV
BluE Nexus Corporation, Aisin and Denso have announced that the eAxle jointly developed by the three companies has been installed in Isuzu's first battery electric vehicle (BEV) pickup, the D-Max EV, which went into production in April 2025. The newly installed product combines the newly developed eAxle front and rear with a full-time 4WD system. The BEV is described as having a 4WD system with a low-noise and low-vibration engine. As D-Max EVs are gradually expanded globally, starting with shipments to major European countries and gradually adapting to market characteristics and customer needs, the companies say the product will also provide high-performance drive solutions around the world. Going forward, BluE, Aisin and Densoi says they will continue to provide valuable technologies and products by leveraging their respective strengths and know-how. BluE is an electrification system and electric drive module development and sales company established in April 2019. "BluE Nexus, Aisin and Denso supply eAxle for Isuzu D-Max EV" was originally created and published by Just Auto, a GlobalData owned brand. Lamborghini Is Selling More Cars Than Ever. But It's Not All Good News
Lamborghini released financial results for the first half of 2025 on Wednesday, revealing record sales for the period. But it's not all good news in Sant'Agata Bolognese. Revenue remained flat year-over-year, while operating profit fell by nearly 5 percent. The Italian carmaker says the drop is "primarily due to the unfavorable exchange rate trends in the last quarter," though if we had to guess, tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump were likely also a factor. "The results from the first six months of 2025 are solid despite global economic and political instability, confirming that the decision to hybridize the entire range was the right one," CEO Stephan Winkelmann said in a statement. Lamborghini delivered 5,681 cars in the first six months of 2025, an increase of over 2 percent compared to the same period last year. The combined regions of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa led the way, with 2,708 units sold. They were followed by the Americas, with 1,732 units sold. The Asia-Pacific region pulled in 1,241 sales. Winkelmann attributes the strong sales to the company's two latest models, the V-12-powered Revuelto flagship and the large-volume Urus SE utility vehicle. "The success of the Revuelto and Urus SE demonstrates that our vision is shared by our customers, and we now look forward to the market launch of the Temerario, which will complete the first fully hybrid range in the segment," he said. Lamborghini Urus SE While sales increased, operating profit dropped by around 27 million euros ($31 million) year-over-year, to 431 million euros. Profitability remained high, however, dropping only slightly, from 28.2 percent to 26.6 percent. 'In the current macroeconomic and geopolitical context, the financial and business performance of the first half of 2025 demonstrates the resilience we have built over the years, and confirms once again the brand's positioning among the leading players in the luxury sector," CFO Paolo Poma said in a statement. While it's impossible to tell where the future will take Lamborghini, we don't suspect its growth to subside any time soon. The company's Huracán replacement, the Temerario , is set to begin deliveries any day now, which should bolster sales going into the second half of the year—tariffs be damned. Beyond that, things are less clear. Earlier this month, Lamborghini walked back previous plans to introduce an all-electric Urus. Now, that car, set to be introduced in 2029, will be a hybrid instead. Last week, Winkelmann suggested the company's first EV, based on the Lanzador concept, might end up not being an EV at all , but rather another hybrid. Considering how well the hybrid thing is going for Lamborghini right now, those might not be bad decisions. Only time will tell.
