The UFC 317 pay-per-view fight card is on the horizon. The event, which features two title fights at the top of the card, takes place on Saturday, June 28, from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. While most of the focus will be on Ilia Topuria vs. Charles Oliveira and Alexandre Pantoja vs. Kai Kara-France at the top of the card, we want to prepare fans for all of the fights on the UFC 317 fight card. Below, we look at the betting odds, line movement, predictions, and picks for the three-fight early prelim contests on UFC 317.
In the UFC 317 main event, former UFC featherweight champ Ilia Topuria battles ex-UFC lightweight titleholder Charles Oliveira for the vacant lightweight strap. Meanwhile, in the co-main event, UFC flyweight kingpin Alexandre Pantoja puts his title on the line against Kai Kara-France. UFC 317 serves as the anchor event for the 2025 edition of International Fight Week.
The five-fight UFC 317 PPV card streams on ESPN+ pay-per-view, following ESPN prelims and ESPN+ early prelims.

Closing out the UFC 317 early prelims is a late addition to the fight card. That fight pits Sedriques Dumas against UFC newcomer Jackson McVey in a middleweight matchup.
Dumas (10-3) has been in the news for all the wrong reasons since his last fight, a UFC 314 knockout loss to Michal Oleksiejczuk at UFC 314. Since then, Dumas was arrested and charged with home invasion, domestic battery, possession of weapon by convicted felon among other charges.
McVey (6-0) comes to the UFC with six pro fights and six finishes. His most recent bout was a first-round knockout under the LFA banner. Each of McVey's finishes has come in the first round.
Dumas opened as a -150 betting favorite over the +130 McVey. The odds have flipped. Today, McVey is the -154 favorite over the +134 Dumas.
The betting pick is McVey to win via knockout.
UFC 316 Fight Card: Early Prelims Odds And Predictions - Jhonta Diniz vs. Alvin Hines
NEW YORK, NEW YORK - NOVEMBER 16: (L-R) Marcin Tybura of Poland punches Jhonata Diniz of Brazil in a ... More middleweight fight during the UFC 309 event at Madison Square Garden on November 16, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC)
In this matchup we have a heavyweight coming off his first pro loss (via a doctor stoppage) in Jhonta Diniz (8-1) against a heavyweight who has a perfect record in Alvin Hines (7-0), who is also making his UFC debut. Diniz is 2-1 in the UFC.
Diniz opened as a massive betting favorite at -850, while Hines was listed at +600. Those odds have moved a great deal. Today, Diniz is -299 to Hines's +249.
Hines is a short-notice replacement for Justin Tafa.
Diniz is not great on the mat, but he is a good striker with seven knockouts. Hines has grappling chops, but his striking can be sloppy, and that makes this fight dangerous for him.
The betting pick is for Diniz to win via knockout, but there is a chance that Hines could grind out a decision if he can get the fight to the mat.
UFC 317 Fight Card: Early Prelims Odds And Predictions - Niko Price vs. Jacobe Smith

Opening the UFC 317 early prelims is a welterweight bout between Niko Price (16-8) and Jacobe Smith (10-0). Price, one of the more entertaining fighters on the UFC roster is 1-3 in his past four fights. Smith is 1-0 in the UFC with a first round knockout win in his promotional debut in January. Eight is Smith's wins have come by knockout.
Smith opened as an enormous favorite at -1600, while Price was +900. Smith is an even bigger favorite now at -1800. Meanwhile Price has remained at +900.
The betting pick is for Smith to use his power to score a knockout win over the fading Price. However, the odds are so lopsided a Price win might be worth taking a small shot.

UFC 317 Fight Card Main Event: Ilia Topuria Vs. Charles Oliveira
ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - OCTOBER 26:Ilia Topuria of Spain prepares to face Max Holloway in ... More the UFC featherweight championship fight during the UFC 308 event at Etihad Arena on October 26, 2024 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. (Photo by Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC) Ilia Topuria (16-0) is a former Cage Warriors champion. He joined the UFC in 2020 with a 9-0 record. It did not take him long to make a name for himself. He was ranked No. 14 in the featherweight division after three UFC bouts at 145 pounds and one contest in the 155-pound division. Three of those scraps ended with Topuria winning via knockout.
In his first fight as a ranked featherweight, Topuria dispatched Bryce Mitchell via submission in the second round, earned his first 'Performance of the Night' bonus and moved to No. 9 in the rankings.
A matchup with No. 5 ranked Josh Emmett followed the Mitchell win. Topuria picked up a decision in a 'Fight of the Night' scrap. Topuria's next fight, saw him face Alexander Volkanovski for the UFC featherweight title at UFC 298. Topuria entered that bout as the No. 3 ranked featherweight. He left as the champion after knocking out Volkanovski in the second stanza.
In his first defense of the UFC featherweight crown, Topuria made history, becoming the first fighter to finish former 145-pound champion Max Holloway via strikes, knocking out the ex-champion in the third round of their UFC 308 meeting in October 2024.
When Topuria decided to move to lightweight and give up his featherweight title, he vowed to sit until he got a 155-pound title shot. That fight takes place at UFC 317.
Topuria has a 16-0 record with eight of those wins coming under the UFC banner.
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 13: Charles Oliveira of Brazil looks on against Arman Tsarukyan in their ... More lightweight fight at T-Mobile Arena on April 13, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by)
Charles Oliveira (35-10-0-1) has been fighting with the UFC since 2010. He won the vacant lightweight title with his win over Chandler and defended the title once, beating Dustin Poirier. He was booked to face Justin Gaethje in his second title defense, but Oliveira missed weight for that fight, which he won by submission, losing the title on the scale.
Oliveira had a chance to regain the belt in October 2022, but Islam Makhachev submitted him and claimed the vacant belt. Since that loss, Oliveira is 1-1, beating Beneil Dariush by TKO in June 2023 and losing to Arman Tsarukyan via split decision in April of this year.
Oliveira is coming off a November 2024 decision win over Michael Chandler.
Oliveira is the No. 2 fighter in the official UFC lightweight rankings.
We will have more on UFC 317 as fight night approaches, including odds, picks and predictions for the prelims and main card. Also, look for UFC 317 results and reactions on fight night.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora ejected after another shaky start by Walker Buehler in loss to Angels

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Alex Cora is 0 for 2 in arguing obstruction calls with umpire Alan Porter after the Boston Red Sox manager was ejected Monday night in the fifth inning of a 9-5 loss to the Los Angeles Angels, the second straight game in which Cora was tossed. Boston was trailing 5-4 when Jarren Duran doubled to lead off the fifth. Abraham Toro grounded to shortstop, but Duran hesitated before breaking for third and was tagged out in a rundown by Angels second baseman Christian Moore.

Report: Steelers expected to sign veteran LS Tucker Addington

The Steelers are expected to sign former Texans long snapper Tucker Addington — who was just released by Houston a few days ago — as reported by Aaron Wilson of KPRC. Since entering the NFL in 2022, Addington has played four games with the Patriots, three with the Commanders, and three with the Dolphins — potentially bringing just enough experience to compete with current Steelers LS Christian Kuntz for a roster spot. Advertisement Back in March, the Steelers brought in three long snappers for workouts: Peter Bowden, Matt Hembrough, and Sean Wracher. Since signing with the Steelers in 2021, Kuntz has served as the team's primary long snapper in every game Pittsburgh has played. Fans have another positional battle to watch at July's training camp, as 27-year-old Addington holds the age advantage over Kuntz — who just turned 31 — while the veteran Steelers long snapper clearly has the edge in experience. Cleveland Guardians Miss The Firepower Of Traded Slugger, Josh Naylor

PHOENIX, ARIZONA - JUNE 09: Josh Naylor #22 of the Arizona Diamondbacks bats against the Seattle ... More Mariners during the fourth inning of the MLB game at Chase Field on June 09, 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona. (Photo by) The Cleveland Guardians are having a very tough time scoring runs. So far this season, the Guardians have scored 286 runs, placing them No. 25 in all of baseball. They just don't have the same firepower in their lineup without Josh Naylor, who now plays first base for the Arizona Diamondbacks. This year, Naylor, 28, is entering his final season before being eligible for free agency. The Guardians elected to trade Naylor's contract while they could still get a return for his services. Traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks this offseason for pitcher Slade Cecconi, Naylor delivered 31 home runs, drove in 108 runs, and scored 84 runs for Cleveland last year, in his 633 plate appearances. The left-handed hitting Naylor also offered some protection in the middle of the lineup for slugging third baseman, Jose Ramirez. Pitchers had to take great care pitching to both Ramirez, and Naylor, knowing either or both of them can change a game with one swing. While Ramirez remains one of the premier hitters in Major League baseball, he isn't seeing the same type of pitches without Naylor in the lineup. Depending upon the pitcher's repertoire, Ramirez, a switch-hitter, is seeing a steady diet of changeups, in addition to cutters and breaking balls. When he gets a fastball, Ramirez rarely misses. Fastballs are rare against the struggling Cleveland lineup. There is little question the Guardians miss the jolt first baseman Josh Naylor delivered from the middle of their lineup. After a successful run deep into the postseason last year, the Guardians will find it difficult to win a 2025 playoff spot. Of course, more than half a season remains for the Guards to climb back into contention. The Guardians can boast of solid pitching, but their offense has been dormant. They'll have to hit to have any chance to make the playoffs.. Naylor was replaced this year at first base by a combination of Carlos Santana, and Kyle Manzardo. While Carlos Santana has hit well, he just doesn't bring the same type of game-changing threat as Josh Naylor. CLEVELAND, OHIO - JUNE 11: Carlos Santana #41 of the Cleveland Guardians rounds the bases on a ... More three-run homer during the third inning against the Cincinnati Reds at Progressive Field on June 11, 2025 in Cleveland, Ohio. (Photo by) Carlos Santana: Santana, 39, is 5-10, 210 pounds. Santana has always been a good hitter. He has a career .242 batting average in parts of 16 big league season, but he is a tough out. Santana brings great pitch recognition and a great eye to the plate. He hits the gaps, and can still probably hit 15 or more homers a season. Santana won a Gold Glove at first base playing for the Minnesota Twins last season. Now in his third stint with the Guardians, Santana returns where he started his career. He made his major league debut with the (then) Cleveland Indians in 2010. But Santana does not bring Naylor's power. Cleveland Guardians' Kyle Manzardo (9) reacts after striking out to end the top of the first inning ... More in the second baseball game of a doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins, Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in Minneapolis. (AP Photo/Abbie Parr) Kyle Manzardo: Manzardo is a left-handed hitter. Manzardo, who turns 25 in July, is 6-0, 205 pounds. Manzardo, traded to the Guardians from the Tampa Bay Rays in July 2023, is still learning how to adjust to major league pitching. There are times Manzardo is fooled by looking for a fast ball, and getting a pitch that spins. The reverse is also true. While Manzardo shows promise as a potential home run threat, he is probably some time away from being counted upon to hit anything close to 25 home runs in a season. Manzardo has the ability to take a pitch to the opposite field, and he can hold his own against left-handed pitching. Manzardo has been inconsistent so far in his young career. He has spurts of solid contact, and then he shows times when he is off-balance and fooled at the plate. Some of his swings are in desperation. Manzardo's issues come with his youth, and lack of experience against major league quality pitching. CLEVELAND, OHIO - APRIL 15: The new Cleveland Guardians logo hangs on the exterior of Progressive ... More Field prior to the home opener against the San Francisco Giants on April 15, 2022 in Cleveland, Ohio. (Photo by) With Carlos Santana and Kyle Manzardo combined, the duo probably won't reach the 31 homers Josh Naylor produced last season. Or the 108 RBIs. As of this writing, Santana has eight home runs. Manzardo has hit 11 homers. Even while he is playing with an aching schoulder, Naylor has driven in 51 runs, and has stolen 10 bases for the Diamondbacks in 75 games played. He is on pace to drive in more than 100 runs, once again. While Josh Naylor isn't hitting the ball out of the park as often with his new Arizona Diamondbacks club, he is a force to be reckoned with every at bat. He is also stealing bases, and playing credibly at first base. Naylor is surrounded in the Diamondbacks lineup by hitters like Corbin Carroll, Ketel Marte, Geraldo Perdomo, and Eugenio Suarez. They are a formidable lot. Cleveland doesn't have anything close to that type of firepower in their current lineup. While Josh Naylor may be raking in Arizona, he is not forgotten by the fans of the Cleveland Guardians. The Guardians could really use the power and thunder Naylor brings to a lineup.
