Newsboy's racing tips for Day Two of Newmarket's July meeting plus four UK cards
CINDERELLA'S DREAM is fancied to avenge her Royal Ascot defeat at the hands of Crimson Advocate to lift the Group 1 Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes (3.35) at Newmarket today.
A length and three-quarters separated the pair in the Group 2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes 23 days ago, but my selection had a 3lb penalty to shoulder thanks to a win in the Belmont Oaks in New York last summer.
The Charlie Appleby-saddled daughter of Shamardal has done most of her recent running over further, so the uphill climb to the line at the end of this straight mile will serve William Buick's mount well.
The bet365 Trophy (3.00) presents punters with a puzzle but a good run looks in store from DANCING IN PARIS after a near-miss in the Northumberland Plate last time out.
The opening bet365 Handicap (1.50) rates a good opportunity for URBAN GLIMPSE to make it third time lucky for the year after second placings at Sandown Park and York.
She was impressive in landing Ascot's Albany Stakes on her second career outing and a nudge up from Group 3 to Group 2 level shouldn't stop Carlisle debut scorer VENETIAN SUN from making it 3-3 in the Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes.
At York, SAYIDAH DARIYAN is poised to show to the fore in the Group 3 William Hill Summer Stakes (2.45), while top weight STREETS OF GOLD looks good in the William Hill Extra Place Races Daily Handicap (2.10). Friday's selections NEWMARKET 1.50 URBAN GLIMPSE 2.25 VENETIAN SUN 3.00 DANCING IN PARIS 3.35 CINDERELLA'S DREAM 4.10 CONSTITUTION RIVER 4.45 DARKNESS 5.20 ROCKING ENDS YORK 2.10 STREETS OF GOLD 2.45 SAYIDAH DARIYAN 3.20 AYLIN 3.55 UP THE JAZZ 4.32 SPIRIT OF LEROS 5.07 WEN MOON 5.40 SECRET BEACH ASCOT 2.00 GREAT BLASKET 2.35 FRONT LINE FURY 3.10 LAKERS 3.45 GHAIYYA 4.20 LONDONER 4.55 FAST TRACK HARRY (NB) CHESTER 5.55 CHAMPION ISLAND 6.25 CALICO BLUE 6.55 MAYDAY MALONE 7.25 CLUB CLASS 7.55 GREY CUBAN 8.25 NAZRAN 8.55 WINTER CROWN CHEPSTOW 5.35 HAPPY CHANDLER 6.10 BLOOMING LEGEND 6.40 MIAKODA 7.10 ANTHROPOLOGIST 7.40 TOO MUCH TREVOR 8.10 SAVANNAH SMILES (NAP) 8.40 SPECTACULAR STYLE DOUBLE: SAVANNAH SMILES and FAST TRACK HARRY

Ascot run might not add up for Haggas' Economics
Last year's Dante and Irish Champion Stakes winner was being readied for a Royal Ascot return but met with a setback. It has been a slow recovery for the four-year-old, and Haggas is almost on the verge of admitting defeat in him running in Europe this year. 'He had an injury in the run up to Ascot and he's not going to make Ireland, I've taken him out of Ireland but I've left him in the Champion Stakes,' Haggas told Sky Sports Racing. 'I suspect he might not even be ready to run his best by then, so somewhere in the Middle East in the winter could be his first port of call. 'I'm delighted to say his sporting owner has confirmed he's going to stay in training next year and I hope we'll get a clear run with him then. 'It's been a sensationally frustrating time for us with him.'
