Good times will be pouring in Kilmarnock next weekend
Organisers of next weekend's inaugural Kilmarnock Beer Festival have unveiled a special beer for the occasion.
And after months of hard graft and promotion, they say they 'can't wait' to welcome punters through the gates of Rugby Park.
The team behind the event were 'delighted' to have worked with Black Isle Brew to come up with Killie's own beer for the day, Squirrel Helles.
Organiser Fraser Wilson told Ayrshire Live: 'It's brilliant to be able to tell the people of Killie they have their own beer for the day and we really hope festival-goers give it a try.
'Black Isle are one of Scotland's best brewers and the Helles lager is a really refreshing session drink - one we expect to be a hit with craft beer lovers and non-craft beer lovers alike.'
This limited-edition lager will be available at The Taproom bar where you can also get your hands on the popular St Mungo's lager by WEST and a seasonal German Radler.
Fraser added: 'Every summer Schofferhoffer do a limited run of their Radler and it's one of the highlights of the year for beer enthusiasts.
'The 2025 summer flavour is Tropical and it tastes amazing – think passionfruit and mangoes. It's a low percentage wheat beer cut with fresh fruit juice and is the ideal beer to have with your mates in the sun.'
Over 1500 thirsty beer lovers are set to descend on the grounds of Rugby Park stadium, with organisers hopeful the event will be a welcome boost to the local economy.
Counting down the hours, Fraser added: 'Like a shaken can of IPA, we're about ready to burst - I just wish it was here already.
'There's been a lot of work gone into this and a lot of effort in trying to make it something Kilmarnock can be proud of. There's definitely nerves and anxiety surrounding the event, but we're confident that's something we've achieved.
A different event to what you'd expect to see at Rugby Park on a Saturday, the June 7 'swally' runs from 12pm-7pm and will showcase the best of independent Scottish beer, gin, cocktails, wine and fantastic street food.
The tasty suds and spuds will be supported with a fantastic line-up of live music.
That will see newly signed Ayrshire singer, Kayleigh, perform with covers band, Underdog, also taking to the stage.
Edinburgh trad singers, The Greasy Whiskers, will play throughout the day, with the day's entertainment headlined by DJ Kevin Spalding, better known as Let's Get Eclectic.
Pouring pints at the festival will be Dookit, Outlandish, Simple Things Fermentation, Two Towns Down, and Tempest breweries.
They'll be joined by fellow brewers from Sulwath, Five Kingdoms, Winton Brewery, and Williams Bros.
For non-beer lovers, Angels Dare Cocktails, The Dispensary Bar, EspressoKart, The Little Margarita Truck and Panther Milk will be in attendance.
Champer Camper will be taking care of the weekend's fizz and Ayrshire very own Ayrshire Riviera will be serving crisp, refreshing cider.
There will also be a dedicated gin and tonic bar from the team at The Orry Botanical Gin and another from the Agronomist.
Food vendors will be serving up the Killie gyros , tacos, BBQ, smash burgers, fish & chips, pizza and cheesecake.

On July 22 the Welsh crooner announced on social media that he wouldn't be able to take to the stage in the German city of Bremen due to illness. It comes after pictures emerged of inside Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash's luxurious £30k family holiday at 'second home'. However, he bounced back with a cracking performance in Dundee at the Discovery Festival, and Cardiff is set to welcome him later this month at Cardiff Castle. Camp Bestival organisers revealed that "there wasn't a dry eye in the house" as Sir Tom took to the stage on the final evening of the event. They commented: "The incredible @realsirtomjones closed the Castle Stage last night, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. What a legend. Thank you Sir Tom for a very memorable end to the weekend," reports Wales Online. Tom is scheduled to appear at Cardiff Castle on August 20 and August 21. The duo of Cardiff Castle concerts arrive just two years after Tom graced the same venue with three performances. During his visit, he addressed the audience saying: "I would like to say it feels great to be home. Oh yes!" before diving into songs from his 2021 album Surrounded By Time and timeless hits like It's Not Unusual and What's New Pussycat? Last month, Tom had to cancel his gig after falling ill. He shared in a statement: "Hello to all the fans in Bremen. Unfortunately, I must postpone my show this evening, as I've contracted an upper respiratory infection that needs treatment and rest. "I know this is really disappointing and will cause inconvenience to you all, and I'm very sorry about that. But the show will now go ahead on Monday 28th July, so I look forward to seeing you then. All tickets will remain valid for the re-scheduled date. Until then, thank you for your understanding. Love, Tom."

Pep Guardiola facing race against time to axe FIVE stars as UEFA rules cause major issue
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City welcomed a host of new faces to the Etihad Stadium earlier this summer but the focus now appears to be on exits before the window closes Manchester City are facing a race against time to trim their squad to meet both Premier League and Champions League requirements. Pep Guardiola has made it clear that he feels he has too many players - but the need to cut numbers is also being driven by the prospect of having to leave bodies out of the manager's plans completely. City currently have 32 players in their first-team squad - and although Premier League rules on homegrown players and those aged under 21 means they only have to make one sale before the transfer window closes, different regulations in Europe means as many as five players need to leave. So while City's recruitment drive appears over after a summer in which they have added Rayan Cherki, Rayan Air-Nouri, Tijjani Reijnders, Sverre Nypan and keepers James Trafford and Marcus Bettinelli to their numbers, new director of football Hugo Viana still has work to do. Guardiola has been clear that he doesn't want to manage a bloated squad because he fears leaving players on the sidelines for too long allows dressing room frustrations to fester. City have told Jack Grealish, James McAtee, Kalvin Phillips and keeper Stefan Ortega that they can leave if the right offer comes along. Grealish is attracting interest from Everton and Napoli, but the Blues may be forced to accept a loan deal that would see them subsidise the £300,000-a-week wages of a player who cost them £100million. McAtee is emerging as a potential target for Tottenham following the injury to James Maddison, while both Nottingham Forest and Eintracht Frankfurt have already been informed that they will have to pay close to £40million for the England Under-21 captain after the German club were told their initial £25million enquiry was not enough. There is also interest in the Bundesliga for Ortega, the keeper who wants a move to stake a claim for a place in Germany's World Cup squad. And while £42million misfit Phillips is on the radar of former club Leeds after a season spent on loan at Ipswich, the midfielder's £120,000-a-week wages are an issue. How will Man City do this season? The future of all three players could go right to the wire on September 1, with interested clubs looking to test City's resolve on how the numbers add up. Viana is also progressing loan deals for a trio of foreign talents in Claudio Echeverri, Vitor Reis and Nypan, with sister club Girona interested in all three. Guardiola has continued to insist that his policy on keeping a limit on squad numbers needs to be maintained despite seeing City's season undermined by a succession of injuries to key players. Losing midfield kingpin Rodri for most of the Premier League campaign was a huge blow - and the Ballon d'Or winner is once again sidelined by a groin problem he suffered at the Club World Cup.
