In this context, the Board of Directors commended the distinguished activities of the Mleiha Club during the Sharjah Sports Summer, which included a range of sports, knowledge-based, and recreational programmes targeting various age groups from the region. Advanced workshops were organised in artificial intelligence, robotics, and programming during "I Am the Future" Week, in addition to sports workshops on self-defense skills, football, and interactive mental challenges. Activities also included several events and various competitions. Artificial intelligence and innovation In the context of enhancing knowledge exchange and raising the level of club members, the Board reviewed the participation of a distinguished delegation from Mleiha Club in the Artificial Intelligence Programme at Zewail City of Science, Technology and Innovation in the Arab Republic of Egypt at the end of last July, under SSC umbrella. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the latest applications in the fields of artificial intelligence and innovation and interact with scientists and researchers in an advanced scientific environment. This participation reflects the Club's vision of building a knowledge-based sports generation that possesses diverse skills and is able to meet the challenges of the future. Strengthening community partnerships At the conclusion of the meeting, the Board of Directors expressed its thanks and appreciation to all the technical and administrative departments, employees, and volunteers at the club for their dedicated efforts in implementing summer activities and programs and achieving honourable sporting achievements. Dibba Al Hisn Club starts pre-season training camp abroad
Leading the group is Ahmed Murad Ali Al Amiri, who is in charge of the club's professional team. The delegation consists of 25 players, including both established team members and promising talents. They will be trained by Captain Tarek Al Sayed, an experienced Egyptian coach known for his expertise in football coaching. A comprehensive and progressive camp The upcoming training camp is an important step in our team's preparation for the season. During this camp, the team will play four friendly matches against different Egyptian clubs, starting on Saturday, August 9, and ending on Saturday, August 23. Sharjah's summer of marine sports and youth empowerment
The 30-day event, held across various cities in Sharjah, saw the participation of more than 400 youth, aiming to develop their skills in a safe and enjoyable environment, amidst a competitive and interactive atmosphere. A marine journey through Sharjah's cities The activities began at Al Heera Beach in Sharjah, where they lasted for two weeks and included kayaking challenges, windsurfing, beach games, swimming competitions, and learning how to design marine boats. The programme then moved to Al Hefaiyah Lake in Kalba, where training courses were organised in paddlesailing, kayaking, and sailing, along with educational workshops to enhance marine skills and recreational activities. Conclusion of activities in Khorfakkan The programme will conclude in Khorfakkan from August 3 to 21, 2025, offering a variety of activities such as kayaking, rowing, and recreational marine activities. Success and excellence His Excellency Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, expressed the great success achieved by the summer programme "Sharjah Summer - Our Holiday is Different," which witnessed remarkable turnout from young people and their parents across the emirate. Al Midfa said that through this initiative, we seek to instill a love of marine sports in young people and provide an ideal platform for discovering and developing new talents under the supervision of specialised trainers.
